Being honest with you ebony I'm 100% loving your channel ever since I subscribed which was before you had the children .it's great to see them of cause however I love that your channel isn't children focused. Just proves you don't use your children for views like some on TH-cam. I love your music channel aswell and think you have s beautiful voice. ❤

I'm not sure if the sell altoids there but whenever my stomach starts to feel sour I'll chew on the peppermint and wintergreen ones. I keep those things everywhere now. On really bad days I'd just let it happen and then start to slowly chew them after. (Bless katniss everdeen).

Any tips on managing tantrums in public with 2 young kids?
I just kept calm and explained that we couldnt have the sweets and i know that must be making them really cross but that if behaviours been bad they dont get treats. It didnt help in anyway but i just carried them both to the car and let them calm down in there own time whilst letting them know i understand how hard it is when i say no to things etc. Its hard because you feel like everyones looking at you but just remember what their feeling really does feel so huge to them even if it seems so small to us xxx
@@OurTinyTribe thank you for the advice and taking the time to reply. It's also physically difficult in the moment too with picking them up. They feel SO heavy when they go all floppy 🙈
You should also set expectations from an early age. Yes, you can be calm and friendly/nice with your children. But your first job is to be their parent and teach them right from wrong.
Sometimes in life, they’re not going to agree with you or always “like” you. But you’re not there to be just a “buddy/peer/friend.”
Also making sure you and your spouse/partner are on the same page and consistent with consequences helps reinforce positive behaviors from your children.
Also reflecting on the situation after they have calmed down and talking about/modeling/practicing other calming down techniques when your children are feeling upset can help. Have them practice naming their feeling (I feel _______. upset, mad, frustrated, cross, tired, sad, etc.)
Then practice deep breathing, closing their eyes to relax, counting to 10, drinking water, going for a short walk, etc. to practice calming down and explain those are more appropriate actions to do instead of throwing a tantrum in public.
