This was so cool to watch because you can really see his little personality developing! I remember the first baking video you did with Daisy where she was properly talking for the first time and now Hudson is starting to grow up too! @@OurTinyTribe Exactly! He is already telling you so much and doing it well. It will continue to progress!
Keep up your proactive repeat game. He learns so much from that little game. You'll need to back off from recognizing what he's trying to convey with his body language. He will resist but it's the only way. Daisy will be your biggest influencer so you'll need to get her help.
Does his pre-k teacher work with the class on speech? Piggy backing on their work will help you the most because he will be more responsive to the same instruction from those that he trusts and who he will want to please.
My oldest struggled with listening to what is coming out of his mouth. We found out at 3yrs old he couldn't hear high pitched sounds like "s" or "c" or "k" sounds. So we did the slow down and listen to each sound method. It was slow at first and the poor little guy would get frustrated but eventually it became a big win and he was so happy. He had a fabulous vocabulary that he could use now. He knew what he wanted to say but he couldn't hear it and was repeating what he heard. Slowing down his speech to emphasis each sound.
It turned out that all of that work made him a really good amateur lip reader.

You've probably talked about this years ago but I don't remember; how did you decide what foods to introduce to your kids since there's alot that you and David cannot eat? Like I remember you have to be gluten free and dairy free and I forget what else because this was years ago.
The kids were both eating everything with no problems but just before Christmas Hudson was having really horrible stomach pains so the doctor said to cut out dairy but after a few weeks we realised that wasn’t helping in anyway so they suggested cutting out gluten for a little while and that’s made such a difference. He’s been off it since January and the plan is to reintroduce it slowly and see how his tummy reacts so we’ll see! Daisy eats everything though which I’m so glad about because having intolerances is such a pain! 😩
