Regional Notes (Speedroids) Final Standing: 3-0-6 R1 vs Striker 2-0 G1 He went first so I evenly’d his board. I just shut him out the rest of the game with hand traps and fast dragon G2 He went first again. I played through a widow anchor and an impermanence. Had enough extenders to kitedrake the rest of his board. Sat on imperial order and otk’d him next turn R2 vs Orcust 0-2 G1 I kinda shut him out and broke his stuff but I got too greedy and didn’t play around Nibiru. Next turn I ashed the wrong thing and he otk’d me next turn G2 I opened Nibiru, but I decided to wait to summon it, and that ruined me. He summoned Winda so I couldn’t Nibiru him. Major misplays this round R3 vs Lunalight Orcust 1-2 G1 Really back and forth. I think the moment that really sealed the game was when I summoned Kitedrake I should have destroyed his field instead of negating it. I then bounced his borrelsword back to his extra deck with Mist Worm, but then he summoned it later in the duel and otk’d me G2 I opened ogre lancea ash cyclone tetherwolf so I locked him out with those. Then I top decked terrortop, comboed and won G3 only 2 mins left. I prevented his plays with lancea and ash, so he makes a dweller in defense and passes. I summoned tempest, and I was about to summon tetherwolf and attack to win in time but time was called before I got the other summon. If I had 5 more seconds I would have won in time >:( We tied and I decided to roll (dumb move), lost die roll R4 vs Nekroz 0-2 G1 I was dumb and I immediately ashed when I should have waited. He searched vanity’s off benten (I should have ashed there) and I can’t play around vanity’s. Scoop go to game 2 G2 I decided to go first and I could only put up dawn dragster. He played through that and otk’d me. Big RIP I need to practice against Nekroz more, that’s a really hard matchup for me. Having impermanence would help out a lot against vanity’s. R5 vs. Orcust 2-0 So his friend was actually the person who I beat in round 1, so he was saying things like “I saw you duel in round 1 so I know your deck. I’ll beat you easily to avenge my friend”. In every duel, he was always like “yeah I’m pretty sure I’ve won this” so taking this round was good G1 I went second and I broke his board pretty easily, but I played right into Nibiru without trying to play around it. He then otk’d me next turn G2 I went second again, broke his board, and out resourced him enough to take the game. Also opening lancea is pretty cool too G3 He went second and he tried to get damage done but I nibiru’d him. Then I just summoned kitedrake, nuked his board and hit him for 3000 with 10 secs left R6 vs. True Draco 1-2 G1 He flipped erupt, I chained cyclone, and he chained judgment. I didn’t have a follow up play, so scoop go to game 2 G2 I just overwhelmed him and hit the right stuff so he ran out of resources. Speedroids play an insane recovery game, so I just overwhelmed him in the grind G3 It was pretty back and forth for the first couple turns, but I mistakenly set reboot instead of keeping it in my hand. I thought “I’ll just set reboot so I won’t have to pay life points” not remembering how true draco inherently pops backrow. He popped it and proceeded to flip erupt, there can be only 1, and apocalypse with dinomight being protected by diagram. I couldn’t play through that R7 vs. Striker 1-2 G1 He went first, comboed off, and set three to pass. I summoned pankratops to put pressure and pop his there can be only one, and then I summoned kitedrake to nuke his board. In the grind game I summoned dawn dragster and borrel savage, and he couldn’t play through that so he scooped G2 I bricked hard and I couldn’t make many plays. He kept beating me down with hayate and stealing my monsters G3 Brick but I opened order so I thought I was in a good place, but then he flipped summon limit and beat me down with Hayate the rest of the game I should have been thinking about how I could play around summon limit or there can be only one. I played headfirst into those floodgates and I lost hard because of it R8 vs. No show 2-0 :( I mean we take those but I didn’t like getting a win that way R9 vs. Altergeist 0-2 G1 He went first. I hard bricked this game with a bunch of handtraps and multiples of pankratops, so he just kept beating me down. I kept drawing handtraps and cyclones for the rest of the game G2 I went second again. I kinda bricked but I had tetherwolf in hand so I tried to make a play, but he stopped it with handtraps and backrow. When I did make plays he stopped them. He hit the right stuff, so he definitely earned that win This deck has a lot of potential, and can be scary if you pilot it well, but I’m not a good enough pilot yet to perform at its highest potential. In my opinion, this deck’s biggest strength is being able to play an insane grind game and keep coming back after being beaten down, so in the future I want to edit the deck to take advantage of that strength. I have some other spicy techs in mind that I want to test, so stay tuned for more speed boi stuff - Sweats
@@cartercharles2893 For the most part they didn't take too long. The only one's that went into time were R3 Luna Orcust, R5 Pure Orcust, and R7 Striker. The rest were pretty quick
The build in the profile is a pure going second build designed to break boards, but going second in modern Yugioh is really hard, so I think I want to change the build to be a going first build. I also think that one of the main strengths of Speedroids is the ability to play a really good grind game and recur a lot of resources, so I want to make the build so that it focuses on that strength more. Lastly, I also want to look into ways you can synchro summon kitedrake on your opponent's turn because I think that'll be really strong and hilarious. I'm mainly looking at junk connector, so I'll test that and see how consistent that is. Glad you like the tokens haha. Ojamas are goats bro :) - Sweats
Christopher Brown tempest is amazing for the grind game and adds a lot more power and recovery for the deck. It can get to the point where I can have a play every turn, even with no cards in hand, simply because tempest revived every turn and speedroids have great recovery (speed recovery, daiko, double yoyo, horse stilts 2nd eff). He can help make rubberband shooter, and he’s level 7 to help make kitedrake or borrel savage. Also, he can help you recover after you get hit with nibiru because if you’re not locked into wind and you saved another extended you can make a borrel savage after getting nibiru’d. You can also search something like destrudo or crusadia draco, but since you can only use 1 tempest effect per turn, I figured the special summon effect would be more useful for the deck Lightning is here to help put out tempest as quickly as possible to combo further and to ensure you’ll be okay in the grind game. Lightning just acts as another starter/extender for the deck. I figured the deck could handle the discard cost because there are plenty of things that like to be in grave, like daiko, horse stilts, or even red-eyed dice. Plus since speedroids have a really good amount of recursion, I figured that one discard would be fine Hope that helped! - Sweats

How long did ur games usually take?

yo, i used a 57 card speedroid deck at my regionals haha
I actually took Speedroids to the Fort Worth YCS and went 6-3 with it. Was actually a pretty good meta call
@Andy4995 yeah its posted on my channel
Invoked101 we should deck theory sometime! Especially since there’s some really good things on the horizon, like the wind charmer and mr5
Cool deck and profile what would u change moving forward?
I like the tokens btw haha

Just wondering, how is tempest and drafts actually good? Like.. what do they offer, im curious :P

@@forbiddensquee9324 Makes sense makes sense, so even though he's only 2400, he's generally used to go into a synchro or link?
Christopher Brown in a nutshell yes
How can I get. Hi-speedroid rubberband shooter on the duel link Nintendo switch game?
