Hi, I'm looking for archive footage of Congleton carnival for a documentary that I am making about my family and their life in Congleton. Would you allow me to use these clips?
I remember being taken to this in 1976 aged 5 and have vague memories of a JCB kids could have a go on (supervised) and majorettes slapping their thighs as they marched along leaving pink marks behind. Oh and the Brotherhood of Man being played alot. Not sure what year this hails from?
Great to see this after all this time! We will link to this years Heritage Festival. Thanks, great memories.
Used to go to parade and park every year, even worked in the catering tents with Bond's Bakery when I was old enough. Lovely footage, happy memories.
