    Lead singer Brett Williams passed recently. He was an incredible guy, glad to hear his voice again.

    This was the anthem of my youth. . For a summer. .. Drive around late night listening to this and other great songs. . Memories

      What were the other songs?

    • @justingrey6008
      @justingrey6008 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pretendamnesia oh the usual for the era, bands like 'i mother earth' 'our lady peace' 'soul coughing'
      Lots of 90s alt rock and ska.. and the occasional addition of band like 'drain sth' and 'veruca salt
      These guys though, they were gold for a summer.

      @@justingrey6008 So good. Those were the days 😩 Almost everything in Modern Rock & Alternative were as its zenith. And we all watched the WB 😆

    • @justingrey6008
      @justingrey6008 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pretendamnesia I missed out on the WB. No cable and only 4 channels.
      The 90s had the best music I feel. Maybe things will come back around, who knows

      @pretendamnesia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justingrey6008 Didnt have cable either, WB was pretty much like ABC NBC etc. but maybe not in your area somehow? Guess I lucked out. Yeah, music peaked in the 90’s i dont think youll ever see a return to form and im pretty much a music expert and listen to it all

    Roll me that beautiful bean footage!
    I moved to Tampa (Plum-town country) from WAAF/WCOZ (Bean-town country) in 84.
    Great version!

    There was a time, however brief, that Bostons rock station, or as they called themselves " the only station that REALLY ROCKED" was an absolute gift to New England and rock lovers everywhere. Between 94 and 97, the station had broken so many of these great sounding new age 90s bands through and onto the radio. Getting heavy play, too.
    I'll never forget the two albums WAAF put out around this time. Amazing in studio acoustic tracks from the top bands and great prank phone calls from what was an incredible Dj lineup . I owned 3 copies of the Unusual Suspects and would be more than happy to buy a 4th if anyone has it!
    Rock is DEAD. Sure, there are still creative kids out there making music, but the I dustey has no desire for it. It will likely mever regain the heights it once had. RIP good rock 1960s-2002.

      I had unusual suspects, royal flush, o&a demented world, the bootleg album (all live songs) and survive this. I had survive this signed by lb, hillman, Kevin Barbare, Mike Hsu, mistress Carrie and wheelchair Fred the day it released. I wanna say it was at strawberries in Shrewsbury white city plaza but it was a long time ago. God I miss those days. And real rock tv on Univision at midnight every saturday

    this is when waaf was at their PEAK! this was either rite before, during, or rite after opie and anthony had the afternoon drive slot. great radio obv! then shit changed. they used to be cutting edge, trying to help local bands break. now they suck. altho i still love mistress carrie and i miss john osterlind,the OZONE, remember? he was the best. fuck the hillman show! im usually too hung over to listen to it ha!
