I have a Saltist BG 30 and just caught about 15 tuna with it ranging from 15-30 pounds. Not one issue. I've had it for 3 or more years, too. It's a work horse. Supposedly the blue is an improvement on the black/gold.
Can i go deep sea fishing with a daiwa saltist 35h and handle average sized mahi mahi, tuna, yellowtail probably ranging from like 20-35lbs? Also what lb fluorocarbon should i use when fishing these!?
For sure but you might want to buy the 50P instead of the 50H -- it has a lower gear ratio for more power. Main line? 30-40 lb mono on or 80 lb braid. Use a thick mono shock leader and a wire trace.
Those big grinders do the job well. I use Daiwa 50 multipliers on two of my heavy surf rigs and Spin Fisher and Slammer 8500 grinders on the other two shark Outfits.

Correction at the 5:00 minute mark. It is not full aluminum construction. Please look into the internal of the reel there is a plastic flange inside

is this body plastic?
Nope
Seagate has the plastic frame and its actually quite a nice reel.
Am I the only one concerned about how thin the crossbars are.
Daiwa has focused on planned obsolescence so quality is going to get worse with every new range.
Can u please give me that reel
U used it for a video so u can't sell it so much can just give it to me and it is my b day next month
Lol
Lot less bajas
