I have waged a war on christmas all my life. I celebrate yule, use the term "christmas," and want a foreign religion out of my ancestor's traditional winter practices. People are so happy amd productive without organized religion. Get together and have good cheer.

Re: names of aborted fetusus. I had 3 abortions -- I didn't name any of them. FYI: I could have avoided 2 of the abortions if a) the pill was easier to obtain, or 2) if my doctor agreed to give me a surgical solution (i.e., having my tubescauterized). He said that i was too young and that I would change my mind (I was 30 and had made up my mind to not have children before I was 20, and have never had children, nor hav regretted that decision). NOTE: My husband at the time (and father/sperms donor) did not want kids, was an alcoholic, abused me emotionally, and, in general, not a good father type.
Did you hear about the pastor’s kids in Detroit that have been forced to sleep on the porch since July? 12 and 14 year old boys. Apparently some sort of disciplinary action. I saw it on the news.
Only the Book of Matthew mentions that Herod story, not even the first century Jewish historian Josephus mentions it. And Herod probably worshipped Roman god/desses and wasn't atheist anyway.
My favorite thing about that pagan invocation is that to me, it sounds no different than a christian one, or any preacher (that isn't foaming at the mouth). It might make a nice example to show christians the way their crap sounds.

Even if it means invoking the notwithstanding clause (a mechanism of sidestepping our Charter of Rights, if you can believe it). It's a pretty big deal, in my opinion. I'm atheist, but this smacks of totalitarian bullshit, to me.
