Charlie Sheen discusses the advancements in technology for HIV treatment and research. Charlie details how the new treatment is actually equivalent to treating diabetes, and he’s slowly winning the fight. He had to experiment with a couple combinations of medicine to eventually find out what is right for his body and symptoms.
He describes the painful process of going through a spinal tap treatment, to get a clear diagnosis of what he was battling. There was a moment where Charlie felt like “Why Me?” “Can I Go on?”, but then he took a step back and realized it’s not something like an inoperable brain tumor, it could be treated.
His mom was there for him during the process, which made it easier to get through. As a kid growing up, Charlie talks about how much his mom was forgiving, loving, and always understanding of what Charlie was going through. This bond has lasted throughout his life and insists that it is still stronger than ever.
One of the toughest things Charlie had to deal with during his HIV diagnosis, was the legal requirement to contact your friends, ex’s & family members to let them know about your diagnosis, to make sure that they haven’t been infected themselves. It was a tough thing to do and humbled him throughout the process.
Post-sobriety and post-diagnosis, Charlie talks about interacting with his family with a fresh mindset and new attitude. It was refreshing for him to not have any hindrances or things that were distracting him from being the best father he could be.
Some of the memories of the lowest moments in Charlie’s drug-using days are the things that keep him sober these days. He keeps the memories close, as a constant reminder to himself to stay sane, contribute, and be available for the people he cares about the most.
Currently, Charlie is loving the family life. He recently surprised his 16-year-old daughter with a new car. Hear about his daily battles with his kids and how providing the best environment for them, regardless of his marital issues, is his #1 priority. It’s a tough balance to discipline the kids while co-parenting, but Charlie has some tips to share. Also, hear what album & movie Charlie chooses to be stuck on an island with.

Man I can't stand what happened with two and a half men and Charlie. I struggled with drug abuse my entire life and it's exhausting and sober life after has been just as hard with doctor visits constantly trying to undo the damage so to speak. My heart goes out to this guy. I'm a huge fan and I would love to see him on TV/Big screen again but I'll support him no matter what he does. 👊

This is Jennifer Sinclair.. As much as I love Charlie Sheen's acting, I always felt that 2 1/2 Men "okayed" him on a subconscious level to go nuts in real life, in terms of all the drinking and drugs and women. I am really happy to see him here in an authentic conversation being reflective.
Well guys I have never watched this until tonight I just stumbled across this I have been clean for years and I ran into a old friend at the grocery store and she gave me a little bag of cocaine and said it would help with losing weight!! I was actually going to do it until I watched you guys tonight!! The Fentanyl conversation scared me to death so I flushed it. I almost threw my sobriety right out the window but thank God I was scrolling on you tube when I saw Charlie Sheen looking healthy and decided to see why he was on this particular site and I clicked on it and the rest is history. I'm glad to see a part 2 with Charlie Sheen, Not only was this humorous but it was very educational, lately in my city the police have been doing major drug bust on fentanyl, the Mexicans are being caught with it at the border but some are making it through and hitting Fort Worth, Tx pretty hard, thanks for this video hopefully there's a part 3
with charlie sheen coming out to the world as an advocate for HIV.. the young generation will have hope in them and that hiv is not a dead end situation to life .. in fact ..he best exemplify a guy who is resilient to whatever sickness.. we can fight it... as Sheen himself survived the deadly virus and he is now HIV undetectable .. so can you....( my friend has it 15 yrs and also undetectable)

Im pretty sure if Charlie would start some kickstarter for some sequel to any of his movies, like some Cleveland Indians Allstar Bash, Rookie 2, Hot Shots 3 ...whatever... you will get that funded in no time. These days, everyone produces sequels to 80/90s movies and Charlie is one of the most famous people ever. Should be a win win situation for all.

It's amazing to watch and listen to Charlie Sheen recounting the story of the Navy Seal that shot and killed Bin Laden, telling Charlie how he had become a Navy Seal because of Charlie Sheen's acting in Platoon. Charlie is so impressed by meeting him and what he has to say - I just think it goes to how humble, real and genuine Charlie Sheen is in real life.

I just finished season 8 after rewatching all of Two and a Half Men the last few months and, even though I am one of the few that liked the show with Ashton, I feel a bit empty knowing that Charlie is now off the show. So glad to see the man is doing well.
BTW, it blows me away how much I see his dad in Charlie now that he is older.

Its raw , real nad an amazing insight on what its like to be on the receiving end of addition. Valuable to addicts like myself to listen to or those with loved ones who have been at hte receiving end.

We all have issues from time to time. Not all "Disney" or exceptionally attractive or even wished on anyone else.
