Buying & Selling At Card Shows

This week we are having a little Q&A session about buying and selling at card shows! Joe Day has some questions and EP will be answering the selling side as someone who sets up at card shows, and Mike will be answering the buying questions since he does a lot of purchasing at shows. I did my first show in 1987 and did them 5-10 a year untill 6 years ago when i had a back surgery that hurt me more than helped. I would love to do shows. I’m like EP love to talk cards and deal with collectors it’s a hole in my retirement life.

I never buy cards that are priced. Don’t price your cards. Card prices change every minute. Prices go down. I put a stack together, ask for a price, negotiate the price, and 99% of the time, walk away with the cards. Seeing a sticker on a card is like seeing sticker on a car. Not a fan. Plus, stickers on cards have to be removed. Double hate……just put your cards out, let me stack, then you’ll get my money…..

I'm the opposite, I hate when cards aren't priced. I like to know what our starting point is for the stuff I'm buying and I work a deal down from there. The actual stickers don't matter to me because I always put the cards in new sleeves and top loaders, even the stuff I'm re-selling.
