    In the future, make your connections and purge your lines/manifold with the system off. The reason is, if the system is undercharged then the low side pressure might be in a vacuum while the system is running and making a connection to the low side will inject air. If the system is off for 5 minutes, both high and low side pressure will be above atmospheric pressure and the high side pressure won't be extremely high like it is while running.
    Then once you've purged your lines, turn the unit on in cool mode and proceed with injecting the goo.

      Good video to show WHY you want to buy low loss fittings…..

      @@meseahuntI think most people don't understand why purging lines is necessary and also don't know how to purge low loss fittings?

    Is your HVAC system still working a year later? Did it fix the leak?

      Yes, It still works a year later. I live in Arizona. It's 118-120 during July and August and the AC units are 17 years old. This was a temporary fix. I"m saving up to get new AC units soon. I will have them install during the spring of next year.

    Did it work?

      It works for me. I was told that if you need to recharge after two weeks then the leak(s) was/were too large.

      @@noviceateverything2022 How big was your leak?

    • @noviceateverything2022

      @@OnePointLander This product has a dye in it so it's easy to identify the leak with a UV light if you want. HVAC guy told me to buy two new units ($26,000 total) instead of trying to fix the issue. I used this to get it through the summer months. We might need new units but not right now imo. Things are too expensive now a day

      Didn’t look like you had the high valve open long enough for it to push all the yellow sealant into the system. From other videos I’ve watched, that tube should be completely clear when done. Hope it worked for you.

    • @drgjs
      @drgjs ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TimHeizer It won't be clear. It'll be an opaque white.
      But you're right. That tube is mighty yellow / chartreuse at the end!
