When I was in a PE class in seventh grade, I slipped while running on a wet floor. My teacher told me to get some ice, to stop being a wuss and forced me to finish the class. Turns out my kneecap had left my knee and all the ligaments and the things needed for a knee to function as a knee were smashed. I had to get surgery and spent over a year in physical therapy. I would have thought Ade was lying If his teacher gave him anything other than an aspirin and a pack of ice

That because we weren’t wimps as kids. Walk it off then go play in the streets

I'm about the same generation as Ade and that sounds fairly standard from my own experience of gym teachers.

Fair play to Rob for keeping that joke up until he got his big laugh!

I really wish when asked “where was Watt?” Edmunston said “On second”

Oh I think they could have done much more with it. It feels like Lee or David should have played off Rob to turn it into a an Abbott & Costello -like bit.

Broke my arm at school when I was 7, told to go home, so walked home on my own.

So feel for Ade. Destroyed 3 discs in my neck in 1969 (aged 11) and the remedy was pain relief tabs and the earliest prototype of medical collar. Finally got the ok at 26 years old- thankfully our memories block out the history of the pain

I broke my fibula in two a few months ago, and I heard an audible "snap" as I was plummeting to the floor.

Man, sounds like something straight out of _The Young Ones_ .
(Also, some very keen observation from Claude Littner here.)

Ade probably has a lot of experience with painkillers, considering all the abuse he got from Rik Mayall in Bottom

Rik _definitely_ got the worst of the abuse.

Fuck me, he looked familiar but didn't know from what.
He lost quite some weight from his bottoms years

When I was 12 in shop class, I accidentally fell into a circular saw and was decapitated. They took my head to the school nurse and she vomited, then forced some Percodan down my mouth (my throat was gone). Then, the shop teacher came running up with my body, and the school nurse was able to successfully reattach my head to my body. School nurses rule!!!

Ade seems like a West Nigerian name. It's so strange hearing it here. Is it also an English name?

Same spelling (without the accent mark), different pronunciation. Also exists in other languages. But his real name is Adrian, hence "Ade" for short.

If the chest move a quarter of the way it would look natural... but always it's done in this annoying way that looks like a kid having fun with the stretching tool with his mates
