@ Nick......lmfao!!! true dat Most film studios nowadays try to cut corners, save money, they don't even bother making original music......they'll just throw in a song from the 70's and 80's lol
damiion666 I was born in 99 but every time when i see an 80s movie with this damn cool music and actors when they were young I feel like I'm at home in the 80s.
I grew up in Europe where I watched this movie in the early 90's with my dad. I fullfilled my childhood dream and was recently driving on that very same desert road in my dodge Challenger with my camera on a tripod and filmed myself driving down that road. It was awesome. Gave me the Goosebumps.
God I love this song. I was a little kid when this movie came out. I watched it last year for nostalgia's sake, and the thing that really stuck with me was this song. It's literally timeless. It's just as beautiful in 2019 as it was when it was composed in 1986, when I was too young to notice it.
Nightman Cometh I am glad I am not the only one! I only heard this a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. It really is timeless, has great drumming, guitar parts and a brilliant melody and lyrics!
Hell yes, I was 16 when this came out. Loved to watch it with my high school girlfriend. I thought the parts with Skank and Gutterboy were hilarious, she thought it was immature (of course), but where we came together is justice against Packard's gang and Packard at the end. (I kinda hated to see Skank and Gutterboy get blown up but that's what you get for running in Packard's gang. As much as Rughead enabled Packard, I was actually surprised to see him get spared when the Wraith drove right by him, but I guess revenge on Packard and his gang was more about hitting the participants in Jamie's killing than stealing cars, bullying local kids, and being a local hooligan.)
It’s a great fun movie in all 80s sci fi glory but man that scene is weird because it captures so much emotion and even now when I still watch the movie I choke because his pain sounds so real.
The 80's was THE BEST!!! The Wraith is the best movie for me and brings me a lot of great memories from the childhood especially when I hear Hold on Blue Eyes! Awesome video man!!
sherilyn la mujer mas bella que vi, no me canso de ver esta pelicula, tiene la banda sonora mas espectacular que escuche en mi vida, me trae tantos recuerdos, AGUANTE LOS 80's carajo!!!!
My favorite movie of all time! That opening shot on Pistol Hill Rd. is perfect. I had the honor of doing a scene with David Sherrill (Skank) in "In/Significant Others," in 2009. I hollered "Skank!" at him from across the room, and the entire production went silent. I was starring in an Atlanta cop show at the time and THEY all knew me. This cast and crew did not, and they were stunned that I had just called their star, a skank. Dave hollered back, "Yeah! Man, I haven't heard that one in a long time!" We shook hands, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. We caught up a bit, and suddenly realized everyone was looking at us, thinking we were old friends. Great guy. If you have a chance, watch the 90210 Thanksgiving episode, where he plays a homeless vet. His best performance, I think.
Every time i want to visit the 80's this is always one of the songs that gets me there.. Most people don't even know about this song but I'm glad I am one of the few that do.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND SOUND TRACK! growing up in the 1980's was more fun! i really miss it. my family was different back then. and now we changed the world is not the same! stop looking at your iphone,pc,tablet cell phones and stop for a second and look around you. Need that Time Machine Now! i am off to listen to my 1980's songs best i can do to bring back my 1980's World!
I had got the "La Marca" album some weeks ago, and I liked so much this song, until I discovered it was part of "The Wraith" movie Soundtrack, so I downloaded the movie. Absolutely classic 80s film, some good men, insane bad guys, beautiful girls, daring races, and cool cars, a nice Charlie Sheen and a lovely Sherilynn Fenn. The perfect movie for being seen with your girlfriend.
Hell yeah. Girls always think that Skank and Gutterboy are an eye-roller and don't give a shit about the car race scenes, but where you and your girlfriend come together is seeing the woman-beater, misogynist, bully, king asshole Packard Walsh receive justice in a flaming high-speed car wreck. The part that really steels the hate is when a girl sees Packard backhand Keri in the mouth, and there's not much love for him when he pulls a knife on her. But his crash is sweet redemption. Bonus: Sheriff Loomis doesn't care to investigate his murder, either. I'm sure the official report read something like, "Local boy Packard Walsh was angry after a fight with his ex-girlfriend, he was hot-rodding outside of town, lost control due to excessive speed, single-car crash that resulted in his death, case closed."
Lyrics: Oh I, saw you standing on your street Something changed, I could almost feel the heat Then you, caught me with your eyes Feel it inside Couldn't leave you if I tried Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Hold on, Blue eyes hold on The wind, blows nobody right But you, make it hard to say goodnight When you, think there's noone there for you I'm coming Only one thing you can do, 'till then Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Trouble comes and then it's gone Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Oh, people twist and turn the knife Why, don't they let you live your life? Just hold on, Blue eyes hold on Blue eyes, hold on... Blue eyes, hold on Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Trouble comes and then it's gone Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Hold on, Blue eyes hold on Hold on, Blue eyes...
I still have an original ex-hire VHS tape of The Wraith. It's the first release version with metallic cover that showed two different pictures, depending on the angle. I'll never get rid of that movie!
Hell yes hold onto that! One thing I don't understand: the box that is shown on IMDB for this movie has 4 characters pictured. Packard Walsh is obvious, Jake/Jamie Hankins of course, and Keri Johnson, they all make perfect sense. Who is the guy on the far right who looks like John Cusack? There's four names up top, three of them reflect people's pictures, but the unknown kid can't be Randy Quaid. Maybe it's Billy Hankins and the box art was drawn before his character was fully realized and casted. Not a big deal at all, just a point of curiosity.
@@Skank_and_Gutterboy I had to load up the site, to look. I have no idea who that person is either. lol It doesn't help that their photos are extremely edited, making them look kind of like paintings.

Lyrics:
Oh I, saw you standing on your street
Something changed, I could almost feel the heat
Then you, caught me with your eyes
Feel it inside
Couldn't leave you if I tried
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
The wind, blows nobody right
But you, make it hard to say goodnight
When you, think there's noone there for you
I'm coming
Only one thing you can do, 'till then
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Trouble comes and then it's gone
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Oh, people twist and turn the knife
Why, don't they let you live your life?
Just hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Blue eyes, hold on...
Blue eyes, hold on
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Trouble comes and then it's gone
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Hold on, Blue eyes hold on
Hold on, Blue eyes...
