Songs that hit the soul hard. As a kid, or as an adult, this song is still brings tears to my eyes.
I know where you are coming from. This song brought tears to my eye when it came out. Granted it came out in 1987, but in 12015 I took a TIA-stroke this and many more songs I could not listen to without breaking down to. It took until 2020 that I could listen to the entire song and I still cry to it, but I can now. In the past, it was less than 10 seconds before I had to turn it off.

Around a decade ago, this song changed my life! I felt stuck in life with what I was doing for education 'cause there wasn't much sense behind it other than making maximum profit. This song reminded so strongly of my civil service when I had worked with disabled children, I listened to it for days almost without a break. Long story short - I cut all ties, started back at zero, became a teacher for special educations - and never looked back. Thanks White Lion! :)

You are correct. Horrific images in the past days of children dying and hundreds of thousands suffering and in pain in the Israel - Palestine war brought me back to this song. I feel it for the adults as well but my heart breaks for the children so much. They do not deserve those conditions of no food, no water, no shelter, no electricity , no human deserves that. Praying for the war to end and that peace and love can prevail. 🙏

Every generation has an underrated band/group that touches the soul. For the 80's and my generation White Lion was WAY underrated. This song was one that stand head and shoulders above and has such a deep meaning to those of us who lived it then. Even now...we have to save this world for the next generation. I’d say the 1980s was the truest decade of rock and metal music in my opinion. Rockstars acted like rockstars, had groupies, amazing solos and melody. It was amazing, after all that pandemic madness and despite the current situation with inflation and war. One of the greatest songs ever written. I remembered when I first heard it in the late 80s as a kid and it really took a hold of me. Its sad to realise that this songs is a significant in todays world. As it was when written in 1986. A song that should be released today. As the message is as powerful if not more so. Than it was all those years ago.

This is a great song for these times. In my years of growing up as a teen, I listened to the Carpenters sing" Bless the beasts and the children".
