I remember seeing them a few times in this era in LA. One time after one of the shows my friends and I were talking to Jawsh (bassist) outside the venue. We’d had a few drinks, and I casually popped a cigarette into my mouth and was about to light up. Jawsh stopped me mid-light, and said “You might wanna turn that around there.” Lo and behold, my cigarette was backwards and I was about to light the filter. God bless Cephalic Carnage.
I hear you. I've seen them on the anomalies tour, small club, maybe 20 people, me and my 2 dudes had one great show, band goin crazy like here, and we and a hand full of other dudes went crazy. Good times..
Been into these guys since the first album. Saw them live a bunch of times. Lenzig gave me a bud once in Ft. Lauderdale. I returned the favor by smoking him out in NYC. I wonder if we'll ever get another cephalic carnage album. The last one was awesome.
6:33...probably one of the most badass off beats with the entire band chiming in to let you know they are fucking there...these guys rock and i only know a select few that can keep up...and i love youuuh
I've never awaited a new album so much from any band. I heard somewhere, that they've been working on one. No one sounds like them. I saw them in 2015, at MDF.
0nward !!! Cheers SO much for this I had to lose my fucking disc 1 , the only band worthy @ this concert too .. CC RULES !!!! I recall ordering the first three albums , and the debut one isn't the sissy remaster either one of the first pressings . Untouchable
@@malikjordan833 cool I found out they are together haven't seen gen in years. I chatted with Steve Goldberg when he was doing sound for misery index a couple years ago. Cephalic Carnage should play Toronto again. That's where I go to see a lot of killer metal shows!
@@psychedelicfright85 I talked to Lenzig when they came through Austin a few couple months ago. He said they are waiting for their drummer, Patrice (Gorguts), to be able to travel from Canada easily (Covid I guess) before they record anything. So it's something that still can happen
Thank You filled in for Jawsh on short notice, 2 days rehearsal and 1 show before this gig , Relapse spent the budget on Neaurosis, check there footage
This is not how it really sounded that night , I don't know why they released such a shitty sound Board quality mix, to be fair technology is far superior now
The crowd isnt feeling this band because this gutteral vocal style is incredibly difficult to actually enjoy. I know i dont like it lol. Screachers and screamers i can enjoy, but growlers i can only respect, never enjoy.
To each their own, my friend. Just realize there's a shit ton of people out there that feel the same way you do about screachers and screamers, but they like the gutturals. We're all just fans of music :)
@chernovid Everyone's entitled to like what they want. Nobody is "right" or "wrong", we're all just music fans. Lets not create a bunch of walls and separations between each other. Much love, and metal forever \m/

My favorite part about this video is the fact that the band is going absolutely apeshit all over the stage, but the crowd just isn't feeling it.
Fuck the crowd, man

Good times..
@Elvis Cookingham why would you try to advertise some shady movie service on a comment that only has 14 likes?
cephalic carnage rules
Man this brings me back. Loved the late 90s early 2000s underground metal scene.
wasn't expecting such a quality live performance and it's nice to see a hardcore band actually gettin down going crazy
These guys are the best. Pleeeeeease another album. Relapse used to kick so much ass too.
My buddy saw these guys with BDM, BTBAM, and Into the Moat back in the day, and I’ll forever be jealous of that lineup.
Yea, I watched an old interview w Trevor Strnad and he mentioned that tour lineup. That is an insane lineup for sure. R.I.P. Trev.

John Merryman is a fucking alien. No human can drum like that.
This band is awesome

De las mejores bandas que sigo. Ojalá vengan alguna vez a Argentina, desde el 2002 me queman la cabeza.
Hope they get back together sometime!!!
They are. They're opening up for Vio-Lence.
They just preformed in Vegas last night

@@wildbill1185 is it true that they're working on a new album? I read that somewhere.

The Highlight is when Ben From Soilent Green busts out all New Orleans style
😍😍😍😍
Cephalic Carnage grew the dankest riffs
The bass player is a step up from Korn 🤣 and this band is all you got before Rings Of Saturn talent wise

Sucks so much that not full sets , and no trace of more footy here ..
