I have a W210 E200 kompressor facelift model also but in silver. The W210 is the first mercedes I ever liked as a high school student. After over 20 years I saw one in good condition, was a company car of the first owner and blessed to have it this year in January.
The W210 actually has a big following within the classic Mercedes community. And they actually look more luxurious compared to E39 on the road today, especially the facelift model. Anyone who has one and drives it knows.
I like the E39 but I'm glad I bought the W210. It feels very solid, well built and stable on the road. Such a steady car to be driving on the highways. My family members tend to feel sleepy because of how comfortable the seats feel along with its cool air-conditioning.
As for the exterior looks of the car, it's long and sexy. But the four eyed look will come down to personal preference. I think the facelift model looks classy and right in between old and new.

The 'E' Class naming convention started with the W124 not the W210 in the year 1993 with a facelift and around the same time the first C-Class W202 was introduced. The most popular model being the W124 E220/ E280 Masterpiece in the year 1995
