Say what you want about this trilogy, but Xai’s vocals are absolutely stunning.
TBH i think the trilogy went for quite a deep introspective theme; reflecting on life and its purpose, and how we are as a global society. Inevitably (due to our nature) we come to a full circle in the cycle where we are reset. Wiped out to have another shot at evolution. I really enjoyed the story.
Yet people love to trash them and say that there’s no redeeming quality in these movies.
I think people only hated on the movies because they weren't your typical monster flick and had a more (at the risk of donning a fedora and sounding like a douche) intellectual plot and theme to it. Personally one of my favorite anime of all time, and easily my favorite entries to the Godzilla universe.

This song caught me by surprise when I first watched The Planet Eater, when the song first popped up, I was so shocked, I still love this song so much, that I use it to help me sleep during the night, and trust me, it really works!
To me it's theme song of the 3rd Story 😂
Recently gave this trilogy a shot after initially dismissing it when it released due to publicity. Damn was I upset I slept on this series, it was so well done and the music/sound design and VA was top phenomenal all around.
Literally watched all three in one sitting I enjoyed it so much.
Will forever go down as one of my favorite series of all time.
@@PBRatLord I get it. I was dismissive of Shin Godzilla and the anime trilogy but I gave both a try and they were actually amazing.
I think this fits with Planet Eater ecpecally with the end montage.
In my opinion, I think this fits mothra as well, because I think this song describes peace and coexistence.

The whole soundtrack of this movie is out of the world. I don't know why this trilogy didn get much appreciation.

I personally dig the newer CGI anime, but they do take some getting used to for sure
the trilogy was amazing but the story was not that well written, it certainly had a lot of flaws but it was amazing
