I agree with you! I fell in love and ordered the very same in that flame red colour. Tested lots of different cars but found the Renault at a new and higher level than any of the others.
A great review! I've had a 2024 Megane E-Tech Techno for 1 month now - now complete with heat pump and 12" infotainment screen. It's our first electric car and we are loving it. Have only found a few minus points - such as the difficulty with clipping seatbelts in! Otherwise it's a great car to drive, has amazing features and looks really stylish! I can't understand why we are seeing so few Meganes in the UK. This car deserves to sell much better over here but needs to have a higher profile. Great review Brian. i recently attended a test drive event in Newcastle which was brilliant. However, I have to say I got more information from you Brian. i have one on order and was beginning to have second thoughts given the differences between the European spec and the UK spec. In my humble opinion the smaller screen is not a deal breaker in fact I now prefer it. The test drive has convinced me this is a cracking car and I was really impressed with the efficiency even on 70 mph runs in sport mode. Thanks again Brian for an insightful and informative review. Cheers
Glad you liked the Megane as much as we did when we tried one. We have put in an order for the launch edition, with the "silly gold blades" , my wife's initial criticism, as well as the intrusive central cubby, on which she kept banging her elbow. I suppose we could always get them wrapped. There were plenty of things we did like though, and on this model the 360 cameras and camera mirror. We also have 3 phase at home, so can charge at 22 kw AC. We are changing after 2 years from an id3, which we love. But want towing capability. The Megane outclasses the alternative MG4 and Kia Nero in this respect, as they have smaller capacities of 500 kg and 750 kg, compared to a useful 900 kg on the Megane. Styling and Google for me is also a big winner over the competition. Enjoyed your review.
I've just driven 1,000 miles in my Renault Megane E-Tech Techno. I've been an EV driver since 2014 and had many cars as I work in alternate energy business. It's very quiet and refined even on 20" wheels, however the range is way off the mark if you are a road warrior like me. My previous car was a Hyundai Kona Electric 64 kWh, the top of the range one. On a long run and nursing the battery I could get 340 miles on a full charge, The Renault can only do 240 miles driving in the same type of manner, nursing the battery, keeping the speed down, air con off and windows up. It is a high quality vehicle and there are lots of positives. I'd give it 4 out of 5.
I have just ordered the Iconic version. It arrives on the 4th of Dec. Having researched all the competition this car has so much more going for it and I fell in love with the look of it. I went for the Diamond Black with Grey roof. This video was very well done thanks 😮

Thanks for a really honest opinion. I think your review of the Megane is the best on TH-cam, no waffle or silly jokes about scrathey plastics. This could be a contender for my next car.
It's a delight to see and inside is lovely too. I went to the launch at the local dealer with the LHD version of course. I looked at moving on to this from my 21 Zoe. Was pointed recently in the direction of the much cheaper MG4 and completely by coincidence someone was test driving one and it appeared at the roundabout and so behind my Zoe, when I drove this afternoon. I will look for a favourable moment to step in for a Megan-E, I think.
Enjoyed your review I agree, had test drive and ordered the next day black over red was also my choice , I have tested the MG 4 and really liked it and the cupra born, but the Megane was the one.
Hi Brian, this is Brian. I loved your video so much I went and bought a top spec UK Launch Edition. No all leather seats, only front 2 doors with ambient light strips, just the small 9" centre screen. Disappointing, especially after being shown the French spec car at the UK official launch which had all these features. But still a superb car.

My wife has just traded her Zoe in for one! I drove it part way home and was really impressed - first time I’ve questioned my BMW i3! Only just I must add!!!
I have a Peugeot e208GT - that’s now about £35K new, which is the same price as the entry level Megan. I’ll be very tempted to look at one of these when I next change cars - does look lovely especially in red.
First video of yours I have seen, after your Zoe one of course and you do it very well and very fair. Multiple views are always best, so i look forward to more, thanks.
Recentely bought a semi-new kona for 13000 eur less than this megane. Practically the same specs. Two excellent modern, fun, economic cars. Still happier to have saved the cash though. ID3 I tested but wasn't impressed because it was too cramped.
Great review, thanks for taking the time to be so thorough with it. As an Irish buyer, our spec is very similar to the UK, which lots of people seem to take offence at compared to say the French market’s version. I’m hoping to take delivery of one of these in January though, all going well. And your video convinced me to go Red and Black 😊
Hi @Adrian. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did specifically ask for the red one on the day as the rest were all that grey colour, which whilst nice, would have looked very dull on video on such an overcast day. I certainly think you have made a good choice with the colour of yours! Thanks again for your support. Bryan @ AutoEV
I have one on order but my deal breaker is colour, it has to be green 💚 Audi & Kia do nice shades of green. Renault do a nice metallic orange 🧡 on the Clio that I like, but my Megane must be green 🍏!
Big up brother, not enough cars out there come in green. In fact, generally speaking, the colour selection of most cars is extra poor, they should be more fun in general.
As a Danish customer who's just about to receive this Renault in Techno version (and in DK they all come with heat pump included) I am of course glad to hear your very positive review. But is it overly positive? Maybe you could be a little more critical on the not too impressive charging curve - and thus charging time. And other motor journalists have actually measured the noise and mention that the road noise is bigger on the Megane than on e.g. ID.3. And others have noticed its problems with grip around corners when wet. You could also mention its terrible visibility from the C-pillar to the rear window. Otherwise I agree: It's a wonderful car. That's why I bought it and was willing to wait more than 7 months to get it! I just call for a little more objectiveness in your review.
Thank you first of all for watching and taking the time to comment. I have to say that I didn’t think the Renault was noisier than an ID.3, and I’m currently running a Cupra Born as a long term test car. That too is nice and quiet in fairness. Obviously I can’t comment on wet weather grip either as it was dry when I was reviewing the car. Correct on the rear visibility and that is an omission. The cars charging ability is ok in my opinion, although granted others are slightly better. All in all, I still think the car is the best in its class and I’m sure you will love the car when you receive it. Thanks again for supporting the channel.
Fantastic! You will love it, great car. Take a look at our other videos about my long-term Megane. Final one is this coming Wednesday evening at 7pm when I round up my time (3 months and 2,600 miles) with the car. I go through what I like and don’t like about the car.
Great video/review. It'll be my EV of choice. Interestingly the Irish market is offered the smaller battery AND a heatpump option. No doubt the whole disaster that is Brexit just makes importing anything bespoke to GB just way too complex. Who'd have known?
Gosh, if only someone in the UK Government had thought of that before heading us down that particular hole.....😆. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
The Renault Megan E-Tech is simply STUNNING! My daughter has just received her First Edition and I have car envy… My MG4 Trophy is lovely, but getting out of the Renault into my MG it’s like getting out of a Rolls Royce & getting into a Fisher Price car…
Interesting point of view Clive. Nice to hear from someone who (sort of) has ownership of both cars. Do let us know who your daughter gets on with her Renault, and you with your MG.
Ordered a Megane etech techno in Midnight Blue on motability today, test drove the Kia Niro EV and the Megane but the megane ticked all the boxes for me in terms of ease of accessibility for my disabililty and general driving comfort, I did like the Niro but the Megane does edge over it.
I ordered an ID3 in January and still waiting for it. I’d cancel that and order this instead if it wasn’t for the fact that in the current market this is coming up at £200 a month more than my ID3 will be costing me. 😂
Love this review. I actually love the Drive, Park mode on the steering wheel. Do you know how i can attain the mirror from the icon and have it fitted? Yes i like cows so don't want the iconic, just in case people tell me to go a spec higher.
Great review as always Brian … very thorough. I’m in the process of buying one but discovered I can’t use my Givenergi Zappi Charger with it. I’m told by the dealer that a software fix will be released in October
@@AutoEV I understand so … there appears to be a problem where the Renault doesn’t recognise the charger. The dealership said other customers had reported the problem. The dealer told me an update will be released by Renault in October. I’ve not contacted GiveEnergi who produce the charger
@@AutoEV I guess asking GiveEnergi might reveal that? I have an E-up! and MG5 both of which are fine. I remember watching a video if Robert Lewellyn reviewing a VW ID.3 and it wouldn’t charge using his Zappi and he had trouble with an ID.4 … as I say I’ve had no issues with my VW E-up!
Yes the stocks are anoying at first or for someone that doesn't drive the car regularly, but once you drive it a while you get used to it and you're not going to notice it anymore. I was worried at first, but after a few weeks of driving it I never used one by mistake again. I am a little disapointed by the range in winter to be onest (getting a bit under 300 km in cold weather), and I drive preatty "ECO", as I can squeeze around 410-430 in cold weather out of my fathers Hyunday Kona Electrict, but I think it mainly comes down to the tyres, as I drove it in cold weather with the summer tyres and I stiil got 340-350 km range, but once I changed to winter tyres range dropt a lot.
Thank you for your work - it's brilliant and really catching 😊 First I need a few moments to become familar with our english accent, but after 10 minutes it works (and sorry for my english writing style)... I've orderd one (the techno version) in the begin of july and hopefully I will get it in the last two weeks of december. One question: Do yo only have the 9 inch screen in the techno version in GB? Here in Germany and also in France its the 12 inch screen in the middle. It is the first time to see a video about the MeganE with the wheel on the right side and even the position for charging change to the left side.. smile.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Your support is appreciated. Yes, in the UK the Megane only comes with the 9-inch screen. Whilst many UK buyers have been disappointed by this, it still remains a fabulous car and I am sure you will enjoy it when it arrives. Thank you again for your support.
Really enjoyable review - I have a launch edition ordered, as the better stereo, 360 parking camera and smart mirror were worth the extra cash. Was always going grey anyway! Was dissapointed when the 12" screen, leather seats and heat pump were dropped for the UK but whats left is still a great car. Looking forward to my own test drive soon.
Hi Brian a really good review. Having now reviewed both the Renault and the new Kia Niro Ev which in your opinion how do they compare. In short which would you prefer to own because the price and battery are very close.
Hi Stephen, first of all, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Funnily enough I was asked the same question by another viewer earlier. And my answer is this; if you need it to be a do-it-all car for family use, I’d buy the Kia. If it is mainly for a sole driver and you want a bit of driver engagement, I’d buy the Megane. Do keep in mind the Kia comes with a 7 year warranty too, which might also be a factor for you. But in the end it comes down to how you need to use the car. If you need practicality for children, luggage etc, I can’t fault the Niro. But as a drivers car, the Megane gets my vote. Hope this helps and thanks again for supporting the channel. Bryan@AutoEV.
I test drove the MeganE (as it should be called), just before Christmas. Same colour. Mid-spec. I have to say looks ok on outside, but I was disappointed with the interior - not special enough. I am comparing to my Honda e and Hyundai Ioniq 5 P45. I though the ride only average. Was better than ID3, but prefer the new Kona Electric. But good to have EV choice
Great revue & lovely car. Any idea why the Silver Trim above the Glovebox on right hand drive models does'nt have an Ambient Light Strip as in the EU version? It's a shame that we don't get the EU spec here but I expect it would cost more to buy. A Panoramic Roof would be a nice option too as my last few cars have had this fitted.
Very good comprehensive review. I have Techno on order as I agree with your comments on F1 Blade and very limited colour choice on the Launch Edition. It looks as though that those complain about the rear view from the mirror gripe over something which is not that big an issue. I didn’t recall you commenting on it all. Additionally the smaller 9” screen is not the deal breaker I thought it would be.Move sat nav to main instrument cluster and use the infotainment screen for other items. My test drive confirms just about everything about the Megane that you have. Just waiting for the dealer to call me with a VIN then I know my wait will be coming to an end. Regarding MG4, from what I have seen and heard, their is a reason for its competitive cost. Loads of plastic, seat upholstery that have questionable longevity, poor panel fit, infotainment system unresponsive, sat nav only on Trophy model. Looks OK but on closer inspection, not really a contender. As my grandmother used to say, “all fur coat with no knickers”.
Do you know what the estimated lead time is for one of these cars? I’m looking to order but the wait times are too long so I’m potentially looking at going ICE again
@@NickLiang All I can tell you is that my dealer told me orders placed by Friday 16th Sept would get delivery before end of this year. Additionally Renault UK recently sent a release to UK pre order customers stating in most cases expect delivery before end of year. This probably doesn’t help but some customers may pull out of their pre order given recent changes in UK Government energy price support, so could be lucky in picking one of those up. That assumes you are in UK, your tag suggests you may be Dutch? I am still patiently awaiting my VIN.
It’s certainly a stylish vehicle, and I’m just about impressed!! But the problem is that one wouldn’t want to camp with it!! Especially if you don’t want to have to carry a blinking tent!!
I’d say it’s between the Lexus UX300e, BMW iX and Mercedes EQS, the latter two much pricier cars then the Renault. In context, and judged against its peers, I’d say the Renault is better than the VW ID.3 and on a par with the Cupra Born and Kia Niro. Hope that helps, and thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
On every review I see the cramped rear and small windows. Glad I decided on my Born. Albeit I would probably kill for Android automotive software. The STLA cars are not gonna matter much in this comparison. They get 50kWh batteries and 135hp. So either they need to be 4-5K cheaper to make a mark or just go slowly along in the market
The rear isn't so much as cramped, just tight for foot room, although that higher belt line along with dark rooflining means it feels more claustrophobic than it is. The option of a lighter headlining colour would help somewhat, as would a panoramic glass roof. But certainly the Born feels better in terms of rear accomodation.
Drive stalk is identical as is the battery and other stuff as the Merc EQA and EQC, Merc and Renault are sharing so much other than just the petrol engine
Love the look of this one but still unsure of electric as like an awful lot of other people I live in town with no driveway or garage so how to charge. As with costs now more expensive than fuel at external charge points.
Will the battery REALLY give you 280 miles of range? My dear old Zoe had given me 230 miles for the first year and a half, and then a bad winter came and sapped power from the battery. I now get 164 miles of range per full battery.
Thanks for another great review. Just wondering if you had a fixed sum of money that could get you either this car or the new Niro EV, which would you choose?
Gosh, this is the third time someone has asked me this question since breakfast!! Well, like I said to the others, if it had to perform as teh sole/main family car of the household, I would choose the Kia. If it was mainly for a driver-only and driving enjoyment was high on the list of criteria then I'd go with the Megane. It just eclipses the Niro in terms of the chassis in my book. Now that isn't because the Kia is no good, it's because the Renault is SO good. But the Kia wins on practicality and doing the everyday family stuff so well. I hope that helps answer the question? Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Bryan @ AutoEV.
@@AutoEV Thanks, your answer makes a lot of sense. As you can guess from the name and picture we have an e-Niro, one of the first batch to come into France where we live (March 2019)....even this now ‘old’ EV is in some ways all the car most people will ever need...starting to see the new Megane’s on the road here now and they do look great. Keep going with the excellent, detailed reviews!
I am going to look at one on Friday and going for the Launch Edition. I'm replacing my VW iD3 Max which I have found far too glitchy so time for a change. Hope to seal the deal on Friday.
@@AutoEV indeed I did do the deal and picked up the car yesterday. I absolutely love it. Looks fantastic and I am really impressed with the interior compared to the iD3.
@AutoEV thanks for getting back to me, the megane would be £3,500 cheaper for me. Have to take them both for a test drive and see if I could manage with the smaller car. Had written the megane off until I saw your review.
Lovely car inside and out, saw it in the metal at a Renault launch event. However there were some deal breakers for me. Whilst the boot might be a lot of litres, it is not a very practical shape. It’s got a massive lip and it is narrow between the wheel arches. I need a car that can take a hockey goalkeeping bag, and it just won’t fit in a Megane E-Tech. Considering it will fit in a Peugeot 206, 207, and 208 boot, it is not that the bag is too big, but the Megane boot that is too narrow. The other problem with that narrowness is that there is very little room across the rear bench, I need to fit three kids in the back and they would be squeezed in. This is a C segment car, but it is narrower than a Renault Clio which is a B segment car. Given it’s on a bespoke EV platform, I have no idea why Renault made it so narrow. And you are right, you can’t fit your feet under the seats if you are passenger in the back. Just very odd for a family car. I’m buying an MG4, more spacious, the hockey GK bag fits in the boot and the top spec is £4,500 les than a base spec Megane E-Tech.
@@iwannasun I think the issue is that test drivers inevitably sit in the drivers seat and base their assessment of cars on that. The Megane is a lovely car on that basis. But real world buyers need to fit stuff in the boot and people in the back seat. Some TH-camrs do test with 5 up and see how many bags/boxes will fit in the boot and this is really useful content
I don't think that ditching the current ICE Megane is as big a gamble as you might think. While C segment accounts for a large proportion of sales overall, Renault's total market share of UK new registrations in all sectors is only 1.75% of c.1.2 million cars (SMMT - year to date) - so around 21,000. Take off sales of the Captur, the Clio, the Arkana, the Kadjar and the Zoe, all of which are more common sights on the road, and there's not much room left for Megane sales. I suspect that, even if they hadn't launched this new model, the ICE Megane would have quietly died within a year or two.
You didn’t mention a standard piece of kit that is a game changer on this level of car? Clue my next new EV (Smart #1 Brabus) also has the same thing. Can you guess what it is?
Hi Bryan, I noticed the Megane while on vacation in Prague loved the look of it. I did my homework on it had a test drive now ordered a Launch edition in black with the dreaded gold trim you hate for delivery at the end of March….can’t wait. Great review mate makes me feel better about my purchase!
The EV version, is the first Megane I’ve liked the look of; I’ve always considered them to be really ugly. So I like the outer styling of this variant. But it’s got stupidly big wheels.
Thanks. An interesting review of an interesting car. Definitely a contender for my shortlist - will be looking for a sub-£40k family car. Unconvinced by the rear seat room and boot for family camping trips or shopping at a certain ‘Swedish homeware shop’ - would be looking to get closer to the space available in my current Octavia.
the Volve EX30 make it look like a tired and boring design, but I dislike the ergonomic of the Volvo which like Tesla is distracting and therefore dangerous (not enough buttons, take your eyes off the road to check speed etc). Sad there is no HUD option on both cars
I agree with you! I fell in love and ordered the very same in that flame red colour. Tested lots of different cars but found the Renault at a new and higher level than any of the others.

Great videos, have helped me decide the Megane Etech is for me. Away to order it today. Cheers, keep up the good work
k 😁
My wife has just traded her Zoe in for one! I drove it part way home and was really impressed - first time I’ve questioned my BMW i3! Only just I must add!!!
I have a Peugeot e208GT - that’s now about £35K new, which is the same price as the entry level Megan. I’ll be very tempted to look at one of these when I next change cars - does look lovely especially in red.
First video of yours I have seen, after your Zoe one of course and you do it very well and very fair. Multiple views are always best, so i look forward to more, thanks.
100%- proper likeable car. was looking at a variety of more expensive EVs and the Megane is coming in pretty strongly against a LOT of them
Cheers for this, away to get my Megane soon. Thankyou more please. keep up the good work
Enjoy your new car, and there is plenty more to come from us! Thank you for watching!
Recentely bought a semi-new kona for 13000 eur less than this megane. Practically the same specs. Two excellent modern, fun, economic cars. Still happier to have saved the cash though. ID3 I tested but wasn't impressed because it was too cramped.
Fantastic review. Subscribed!
From my 1st, viewing. It appears superb and certainly worth a look at my next change over from my Fiat Tipo Cross Red.
Brilliant review. You’ve just made up my mind, placed an order for one of these just now. Thanks! Subscribed.
And it also Appears Eerily quiet
. fabulous. Great for older people especially,
Just ordered ours thank you for your video we love the car and can’t wait to drive it your video made it so easy to choose thank you so much
Fantastic! You will love it, great car. Take a look at our other videos about my long-term Megane. Final one is this coming Wednesday evening at 7pm when I round up my time (3 months and 2,600 miles) with the car. I go through what I like and don’t like about the car.
@@AutoEV thank you
Wish they had made the full euro spec available as an option at this time (e.g. there’s no heat pump option - which is available in Europe etc)
We decided on the Cupra 77kwh version because of more rear seat space, better rear view and the DCC , performance tyre option and heat pump option.
Too bad Cupra and VW have absolutely abysmal infotainment
The Renault Megan E-Tech is simply STUNNING! My daughter has just received her First Edition and I have car envy… My MG4 Trophy is lovely, but getting out of the Renault into my MG it’s like getting out of a Rolls Royce & getting into a Fisher Price car…
Interesting point of view Clive. Nice to hear from someone who (sort of) has ownership of both cars. Do let us know who your daughter gets on with her Renault, and you with your MG.
Great review !
Honest and accurate so much so that I bought one is it's 2024 model techno plus comfort heaba pump
Great car! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Ordered a Megane etech techno in Midnight Blue on motability today, test drove the Kia Niro EV and the Megane but the megane ticked all the boxes for me in terms of ease of accessibility for my disabililty and general driving comfort, I did like the Niro but the Megane does edge over it.
This shade of red is much nicer than the metallic flame on my current Renault Zoe!!
Is there any way to set the regeneration paddle to automatically stay on level 4?
Great video :)
Still waiting for the test drive but deposit has been paid. Looking forward to getting our hands on it.
Excellent video, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
I ordered an ID3 in January and still waiting for it. I’d cancel that and order this instead if it wasn’t for the fact that in the current market this is coming up at £200 a month more than my ID3 will be costing me. 😂
200 per month is a lot imo.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. Is this only a thing with Zappi chargers?
@@AutoEV I understand so … there appears to be a problem where the Renault doesn’t recognise the charger. The dealership said other customers had reported the problem. The dealer told me an update will be released by Renault in October. I’ve not contacted GiveEnergi who produce the charger
@@robwoodphotos interesting. Thanks for that. I wonder if any other cars have a similar issues with them?
@@AutoEV I guess asking GiveEnergi might reveal that? I have an E-up! and MG5 both of which are fine. I remember watching a video if Robert Lewellyn reviewing a VW ID.3 and it wouldn’t charge using his Zappi and he had trouble with an ID.4 … as I say I’ve had no issues with my VW E-up!
It looks like everyone is using the now ancient Allegro Quartic Steering Wheel!! My 2020 Zoe has a nice round wheel!!
Brillant love the Megane been driving the diesel for 8 years its a joy to drive Brillant new style
Are the 3 pin plugs fine to use to charge
Interesting. I’m now running one as a long term test car and I’m thinking the range is poor compared to what it should be doing.
Thank you for your work - it's brilliant and really catching 😊
First I need a few moments to become familar with our english accent, but after 10 minutes it works (and sorry for my english writing style)...
On the french Renault website it says it's 20".
Aaaahahah, I died at the David Coulthard jawline comparison :D :D
Love this, Renailt sealers selling 6 month old ones fir £26k. More like it.
Can't wait to order one on motability, but I still have another 12 month on my present lease (a great leaf)
Any info if they will do sport wagon version? I would like a little bit bigger storage space that sport wagon would offer.
Have you seen the new Scenic? I’d suggest they won’t do a sport wagon of the Megane with the Scenic on offer. Looks good though.
Good review. I have the Iconic on order which has been added as the new top of the range above the launch edition.
Borrowed the dealer's demo car while Zoe was in for a service last week..has me seriously considering one..
Thanks for the review. Does the megane have the Vehicle to Lpad feature found in the Kia to power appliances while camping?
Does anybody know if it has automatic headlights and wipers plz.
Yes it does
Great review. Ordered techno yesterday. Didn’t like the F1 Blades. Delivery time end of March 😮
Good review, Thank You.
Does a golf bag fit on the boot? Thank you
Very nice review..
Please help can you set cruise control to 20mph, as we live in wales so this would be the cream on top for me and my wife.
Does the navigation work when you are out of mobile coverage areas?
Hello 👋.. what is the most quiet car you ever driven ..is it megane close to the Best in the quiet section? Thanks
Great review and a lovely car .
Thank you! 👍
Gone for the Techno + Ceramic grey diamond black roof. Due date March 2024. First EV so a bit nervous about it but hey ho.
You need to be watching the channel this coming weekend then. First report on my long-term Megane E-Tech......guess what spec I have???
I think that the Chinese cars from MG and BYD are the real competition - and not just on price.
MG is a great car, and we are looking forward to testing the new BYD Dolphin.
Hi is the drivers seat manual or electric adjustable
Sadly manual seat adjustment on my Launch addition 😢
Great video.
It’s too expensive & the French have got the cheek of installing it with the smaller touchscreen for uk customers !
It is because we love you. Youi are our children! Remember 1066!!! And as we say in France:" Qui aime bien, châtie bien !"
I am going to look at one on Friday and going for the Launch Edition. I'm replacing my VW iD3 Max which I have found far too glitchy so time for a change. Hope to seal the deal on Friday.
Well Robert? Have you done the deal? Did you buy one?
@@AutoEV indeed I did do the deal and picked up the car yesterday. I absolutely love it. Looks fantastic and I am really impressed with the interior compared to the iD3.
@@robertmcbride1859 great news! Glad you like it. I have to say, I loved the Megane when I had it. Such an accomplished car. Well done!
what a gorgeous car
Would you have one of these or the nissan ariya?
If I didn’t need the space, I’d go for the Megane. Very different cars though.
Just shows this car didnt get the basics right. If the presenter wasnt so biased (and so anti ID3), maybe he could have pointed that out in his video
I suspect that, even if they hadn't launched this new model, the ICE Megane would have quietly died within a year or two.
exsttttreamly good looking electric car
You didn’t mention a standard piece of kit that is a game changer on this level of car? Clue my next new EV (Smart #1 Brabus) also has the same thing. Can you guess what it is?
Hi Bryan, great review. One question if I bought you one car which would you want… Renault Megane, cupra born or iD3.
Megane. Every time John.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, and continuing to support the channel.
11:19 Model 3 have 90mm tick battery pack
The EV version, is the first Megane I’ve liked the look of; I’ve always considered them to be really ugly. So I like the outer styling of this variant. But it’s got stupidly big wheels.
Thanks. An interesting review of an interesting car. Definitely a contender for my shortlist - will be looking for a sub-£40k family car. Unconvinced by the rear seat room and boot for family camping trips or shopping at a certain ‘Swedish homeware shop’ - would be looking to get closer to the space available in my current Octavia.
Beautiful car, but you are right, the back seat and boot are just too narrow for a family
Was that interior made from recycled parts from a crashed Clio or Zoe?
the Volve EX30 make it look like a tired and boring design, but I dislike the ergonomic of the Volvo which like Tesla is distracting and therefore dangerous (not enough buttons, take your eyes off the road to check speed etc). Sad there is no HUD option on both cars
If you can afford it...buy it!🥰
Brian, you say the Battery is the thin at 110 mm, but that's true of the MG4 too isn't it?
I honestly couldn't tell you Barry. I've looked though my press pack for the MG4 and there is no mention of it.
