- Do not tightening it as much as I did in this video, I over tightened it a bit. A little past hand tight is sufficient. Over tightening can damage frame and cause problems Streamlight TLR-1 HL Installation video. The TLR-1 HL Streamlight Flashlight will work for most Double stack Glocks (19,17,45 etc) and for Sig sauer pistols, 1911, anything with an under rail or a picatinny rail. Will not work for slim like guns like Glock 43x or 48.
Just FYI tightening it too tight, can affect the slide. I’ve experienced malfunctions due to over tightening.
@@chadhelminiak8563 I understand that now. Couple other people have commented that as well. I need to remake this video but I don’t have that flashlight anymore. I recorded the video like 2 years ago. Thanks for the information and letting me know.
Great video. Thank you for going through the light modes (and their trigger - like the double tap for strobe) - much clearer seeing it demonstrated.
@@xxTheMajorxx Thank you. Happy to help.
Thank you! I just went through 10 videos trying to find this!
I'm getting my dad a light/laser combo for Christmas. He's got the Glock 23 and I was worried because it doesn't have a standard looking picatinny rail, but it does have something that looks like it.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
No problem! Glad this video helped you. Merry Christmas!
Just installed on my M&P 2.0 Competitor and it was very easy!
Awesome!
Would definitely advise against using a coin on polymer hand tight is sufficient it won't come off
I like mine more then hand tight.
@@GearAndGunsStreamlight itself recommends only hand tight though. If they meant for you to use a coin, im sure they would have provided one? It's up to you though. I would just be worried because of the possibility of cracking/breaking the frame.
@@jason4453 I didn’t know that. Thanks for the information.
@@GearAndGuns It's not a bad video and glock is pretty tuff durable though. Just It's a possibility of cracking.👍
@@jason4453 yeah your right though, that was one of my first videos and I was a lot less knowledgeable then. Going to start posting more content soon.
thanks for this boss!
No problem!
You’re supposed to finger tighten because over tightening can damage your frame
Haha, the cracking is your frame, it says to finger tighten, mine doesn’t ever crackle
@@SteveReynold I know I messed up tightening it too much. This video is old. It’s fine to tighten with a coin or screw driver just don’t over do it like I did. Learning as I go.
What's that slide release that you're running? Looks pretty sick
@@js1218091 kagwerks raised and extended slide release. I like it the most compared to the stock slide release and the standard height extended versions.
Dont you need to put the plates on in order for the light not to move when you are shooting it?
There’s a rectangular plastic notch that’s pre installed on the light that fits into the slot on the lower receiver of the hand gun. They are removable and there’s extras that come with so you can fit the light more securely with different firearms. I believe the one made for Glock was already installed so I didn’t have to change that one out. But yes your correct. There’s one for sig Sauer p320, 1911, and picatinny rails. I briefly mentioned this and how to do it in the video, I just did not do that process because the Glock insert was already installed.
@TacticalTaz i have cz p10 c and while it fits without the plate i feel like recoil will definitely move it around. Thank you
@@irehbegovic188 I would definitely use the inserts that the streamlight comes with. If you do not, the recoil will most likely move the light forwards and backwards on the rail. It could also damage the rail. Just find whichever insert stops the light from moving the most, and install that on the streamlight. Whichever insert has the least play it in, use that.
Add a rounded light holster and puff great carry setup
Process was quite simple after you seen how to do it thanks again, though you save me a lot of time
@@rickallen9652 sorry just now saw this. No problem. Happy to help!
Thank you bro. Clutch
No problem. Glad it helped.
This is so helpful
Glad to help!
So this will fit my Gen4 Glock 40 MOS?
Yes
Thank you well done!
@@rickallen9652 happy to help. Recorded a better video to be posted sometime in the future. This was a very old video and one of my first.
I just got one for my glock 19x, how do you put the battery in?
The light cannot be on the weapon when batteries are being installed. There’s a small metal hinge on the top of the light near the back by the on off switches. You pull that back towards the buttons, it should release a hinge and open the cover.
Thank you
Glock 30 gen4 will work?
@@ESTDBOE yes it will
@@GearAndGuns thank you
Thanks there’s like no videos on this lmao
Glad I could help!
Thank you
@@BMwBears2005 No problem happy to help.
Funny how people still point the muzzle in directions where it should never be, even though they “know” it’s clear. Typical of the non-trained.
Relax man. I recorded this video like 2 years ago. I’ve learned a lot more and have more gun safety since then. I verified it was clear so I know it’s clear. With no round in the chamber it’s the same thing as having the slide off the lower.
@@GearAndGunsGotta just ignore comments like this for sure. (:
@@calebmeyer6253 I try to interact with viewers as much as possible. But yeah definitely could’ve.
Omg you are so right, you are better than everyone else in this world smh
