    On headlights, two things are the most important, brightness (safety) and style (looks). For me, the one that best came out in these two categories were the Rough Country.

      Totally agreed!

      @GetSoberWithMe ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Screw the looks, worry about lowering the brightness cause they're blinding all the other drivers on the road but i guess as long as ppl can see 10 miles in front of em for no reason and they look cool screw everyone else right?

    I like the renegade headlights.I have the oem mopar led headlights on my freedom edition and i’ve yet to see any lights that compare to them.Spend the extra 500 for the mopar lights they are by far the best out there.Hell you already soent a ton on fixing the jeep why not on headlights.The running lights on the headlights are cool but i like the renegade running lights they look pretty neat.Another great video very informative.

    I have the rough country style ones (before rough country made them since there’s no patent on it) and i think it’s perfect. It has the sharpest cutoff and it always stands out compared to everything else on the road

    What about warranty on them? I've had to go shopping for new LED headlights so often. On my fourth set. The first set was lifetime warranteed..... then production stopped. Replaced with two year warrantied set. Then my current version, which just lost an LED segment, I'll have to replace with 1 year warranty on most sets.
    Aren't these supposed to have 10,000 - 50,000 hour lifetime on the LED's? That's eight years if on 100% of the time.
    On the other hand, I'm really good at swapping LEDs on my JK.

    I installed led tail lights front turn signals basically all exterior lights are led now. When I took the old incandescent tail lights off I put them away but my 2005 tj hyperflashed bad and after 2 days of my brain going into ( I have a ts bulb out) I went back to the ol drawing board and removed the internals from the old tail lights and mounted the 1157 bulb and socket and mounted the part I cut off of the old tail light and mounted it under the rear bumper hid den out of sight but I put new amber bulbs in them and wired them into the trailer wiring harness. I have no resistors what so ever only what I robbed from the old tail light.

    I actually like the halogens. The stockers are sort of yellow, but there are some whiter ones that hit about 1000 lumens. Whiter light always appears brighter but if you ignore the color and focus on what you can actually see I find the halogens just fine for me.

    I'm concerned that if I fit any of these, the dipped beam might be too high for other drivers. Can you adjust the angle of the fitting in the jeep or does it end up moving the light away from the body front and you get an ugly gap ?

    They are around $200 Canadian, and I have had them installed for 2 years and run perfectly still.
    I know that you know who Neo is, you should contact him and give them another shot.

    I need a brighter headlight...because I drive everywhere on the backroads.....because my jeep is geared so low....the deer are always running out in front of me...and I would like to see them before I am right up on them....but alas...cannot afford them.

    OK OK OK I have to say something!
    Yes, I have a JL myself and yes the headlights do need to be replaced Typical Jeep problem.
    So now let me say something to up I travel a lot I have almost 200,000 on my JL. I noticed my lights were so damn it was almost as if I had no light and then I decided to clean the lenses. It was amazing the light I had all of a sudden, still not enough but wow, what a difference! Just thought I would give that tip out where you don’t have the money to spend under headlines right now.

    RGB is illegal on road vehicles and even though you can set it to white, you don't want the risk of accidentally switching to RGB and getting the cops pulling you over, so I wish you'd had a "top pick if you don't want RGB" or a 2nd place for overall best. Maybe that brand does the same light without RGB.

    Do yall ever think about the other drivers on the road you're blinding or just worry about yourself and what looks cool amd trendy? I think any and all LEDs should be banned until they're built correctly and ive seen some that arent bright so i know it can be built better but most are ridiculous. If anyone has the really bright LEDs knowing your probably blinding everyone and see me coming all i gotta say is good luck cause im not slowing down nor giving an inch anymore

    • @bee-beepboop5175
      @bee-beepboop5175 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a headlight review. Not the TH-cam complaints department. Since we’re on the topic however, I do have a suggestion. I’d do sone research on a topic prior to putting your opinion on a public form. This will prevent future internet folk from forming a opinion about your intelligence and keep it only in regards to your view on a specific subject matter.
      The brightness of a headlight has little to do with how blinding they are to fellow drivers. It’s all about how the headlights are built and do they uphold U.S. DOT standards both in their design and their installation. Most the headlights that blind me are often very dim LED bulbs/occasional xenon, thrown into a reflective headlight housing so the light scatters every direction where as if there fitted with a projector lense they will throw a beam exponentially farther/ appear far brighter being jn focus with a nice clean cut off and not blind anyone as long as they are installed correctly. If the headlights are blinding me due to their brightness it’s often aftermarket headlights installed without proper alignment and adjustment or misaligned halogen bulbs on old vehicles so they appear as though the brights are on. I personally prefer other drivers to have bright headlights with the proper adjustment so they can see me and assist in lighting the road since I know they will not blind me if set correctly. On a side note, just because a car comes brand new from the dealer doesn’t mean the headlights are properly aligned.
