Does the 600 have a normal differential in the back? I heard the reason for the two rear wheels being so close on the normal Isetta was that they didn't want the extra expense of a differential.
I like the length of the video and the commentary, always nice to hear your thoughts and insights into these peculiar oddities. As a sidebar what is the status of the 4G63-Sixty project, is it still around?
The Isetta was originally an Italian car built by Iso, and BMW bought it out to make the BMW Isetta, pretty much identical but with a BMW motorcycle engine. BMW then went on to design the 600 4 seater based on using as many Isetta parts as possible, but it was not an Isetta because it did not originate from Iso. Most people still called it the 600 Isetta.

The Lotus Elan also used rubber "gweebos" (sorry if I mis-spelled that) instead of u-joints in the independent rear suspension.
Sounds awesome! I wonder if that is basically a BMW Opposed motorcycle engine underneath that shrouding. It sure looks/sounds like one.

Great little engine compared to the standard single cylinder Isetta.
Far superior to the three-wheel Isetta. I'm surprised they did not make more of them.
