OH my gosh!… thank you. I am thankful that I saved your video!!! I had skipped lines or banding on my printer outs before, and was able to fix it after a couple rounds of your first 2 solutions. It didn’t work this time. I went to the total cleaning in the printer setting. I waited 6 hrs and it works perfectly!!! THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH😍🙏
THANK YOU! The lines just started after a year of use. I have never changed the settings and suddenly they appeared. I almost ordered a new printer but after your video, it was a settings problem. I am so happy!!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I am new to sublimation, bought my printer about 6 months ago and am still learning. I could not figure out how to get lines out of my prints but this fixed it all! I'm thrilled!
Thank you! I sent one printer back for banding and I was getting ready to send another one back. This fixed my problem! Print head alignment did not fix the problem either time but working with the settings did.
Thank you Angie. This video is right on time. I have been using my Epson converted printer regularly for months and saw horizontal lines for the first time yesterday. Now I know what to do thanks to your practical solution videos.😊
Thank you So Much for this video!! I had tried and wasted so much paper in order to figure out why the lines kept showing up. I am now all up to date with the drivers and have now picked the correct settings for printing on my ecotank!
TIP: Print head alignment is cumulative. You may need to do it more than once. Sometimes they can get way out of alignment for no obvious reason - or if the printer gets bumped. Happened to me. I needed to do 10 consecutive alignment cycles to get it back in range. You just keep running the alignment settings back to back. Keep choosing the best looking blocks. It will get microscopically better each time until it finally starts to actually look better. Trust the process.
Not sure what has happened to my printer. My paper gets jammed when I try and print. Not sure if this is printer head alignment issues, or something bigger. Ink leaks, but strangely, my ink pads are not full or overflowing.. Printer hasn't been knocked/bumped or anything like that, so I have no idea where the issue is
I'm not getting lines only these dotted white lines, I guess that is the same. Could this be a setting issue. I just printed and sublimated an image 3 days ago and it was fine.
I watched your unclogging video and now this one. Great tips, you are clear and concise. My ET-2850 is working great again thanks to you! Now realize my problem was caused by not using the printer often enough.
Angie, you are a life saver!!! I downloaded the correct files from the Epson website turned off high speed and had to clean my nozzles 10 TIMES!!! After the 10th clean, all the lines were solid and now my printer works again!!! I'm so excited to be able to sublimate again ;) thank you! thank you! thank you!
Thanks Angie, your videos seem to always address either an issue I am having or how to do something I am thinking about doing. You are such a great resource, thank you! Ray
When i say TH-cam University is everything....u just helped me solve my problem with the print of my design! I had the horizontal lines as well and didn't know what to do but YOU 100% fixed it for me! Thanks :) n New Sub!
This video helped me out so much I was getting so frustrated that after awhile of my printer sitting it wasn’t printing properly after doing a print head cleaning and did not want to do a full print cleaning. I did my setting like this and they come out so beautiful now!
Thank You!!! I watched this video and the other one for clogs. I have only used my printer a few times and it wouldn't print. I tried all you steps and I think it I've figure it. Thank you so much!!! 💯
Straight up thank you for the lil reminder that print settings are important and play a huge role in how your print turns out 🤣🤣 duhhhhhh oh my lanta thank you so much! Saved my day!💗
Thanks for all the clear help with understanding settings. I have the ET-15000 and I do not use sublimation ink, just the standard ink that came with the ET-15000. I just finished doing the purge/head cleaning cycles to get my cyan fully showing up again. There is still one issue... I am still working on it, but as of now I can't seem to completely shake these extremely faint darker blue banding lines running horizontally across the cyan color block. I only see them when printing in standard, but they are not there when using the high setting... on high it looks 100% solid and beautiful. Judging from what I have said, would you say my problem is no longer a clog or air in the lines so doing a 24 hour wait wouldn't really help at this point... and what my issue is now is solely with continuing to clean the print heads? I like the look of high better anyway but would rather not HAVE to print in high for everything. You made it sound like if you print in standard with plain paper setting you can likely expect the banding. Is that just the way it is with these printers and plain paper/standard setting right out of the box and they always gives those results? If so, that's disappointing and I would have hoped the Ecotanks, especially the pricey ET-15000, would not do this since I'd imagine most people who are not making crafts/clothing would start out trying to use plain paper/standard settings for their needs. Should I be able to get no banding with plain/standard under any circumstance?
All printers have this issue on plain paper setting. That setting is meant for something like document printing. For any type of crafts, you are going to have to choose a higher quality setting.
Thank you so much Angie! I tried several settings and also the video about unclogging the printer, all your well explained help worked fabulously! Thank you, you are great!!!
Thank you for a very informative video. My Epson 2750 has been out of commission for months. Deep cleaning, nozzle check etc. has not helped. I used your Matte and no high speed setting and now I have good prints. Thanks so very much.

You are an Angel for making this video, I have been struggling with this FOREVER! Seems like it goes away but next time print there it is again. Can’t wait too see if this works!! ❤❤❤😊
Angie, I have an Epson 4700 eco tank. It worked fine at first. I use Hippoo ink and paper. I am having a problem with the black ink tank saying it is almost empty, but everytime I try to put ink in that black slot, it just does not go in and it overflows from the opening and comes out of the bottom of the printer all over the place. Could this possibly be caused by a clog??? This just started happening recently. It makes me think the black tank actually has more ink in it than I think even though the Epson software shows that it is almost empty. The front of the printer tank is very difficult to see if it is full or empty. Thanks for any help you can give me. Love everything that you teach us. Thank you.;
You have to go by the front of the printer. When you use sublimation ink, it is using a different amount of ink then the printer thinks it is so the printer saying it is low does not matter. You can reset that ink level on your printer if you would like but I ignore those messages and just look through the windows on the front.
Angie, thank you so much for all the video's you do. Most have been spot on for filling my head with knowledge. I watched both video's dealing with clogged print heads. My black was the one giving me trouble. Finally go it to print solid with the black purge page. But still lines both horizontal and vertical show when I print a design. And print head alignment...I can't even get it close after doing it about 15 times. Is there a step further to take in order to clean the heads? I really appeciate all the information you share with everyone. Gail
Thank you so much its helped a lot. May I ask you whehter we need to change the paper setting on the printer itself also? or only change premium presentation matte in printer setting (computer) is enough?
would this work also for someone that accidentally pulled out a paper jam because ever since i tried 13x19 it jammed up my printer and has been messing with all my prints even the print sizes that were never a problem before using and its giving roller marks down it. its finally clearing up better but now its dots down each page. i would appreciate any advice on this situation. thank you so much!
My guess is there could be a small piece of paper in your printer so I would really look. Second, the paper jam probably got ink everywhere. Try printing some pages with just one letter to see if running the paper through will clear it up.
What computer are you using / where did you go to get to a dialog box that looks like that? I’m on a Mac and mine doesn’t have the “more options” section where you can adjust the speed of the sublimation printer. Thank you for the tutorial either way :)
My Ecotank will fold the corners up a tiny bit with smears of ink there. Then there’s clicking more so towards the end of the printing. Even the back corners are folded upwards sometimes! Have you experienced this?
Hi Angie, Thanks so much for both Videos, I have 2 Epson Eco Tank printers, ET2811 and ET1818, both have the same issues, I have been working on the ET2811 and completed all the sets also deleted all the print settings and run the pruge files. I have noticed that the Cyan purge file has lines in the purge print, the other colours are solid and fine. Any ideas on how resolve just the cyan issue?

I'm getting the lines through the words when I am using the hack for sublimation on cotton. I am using the pet film and when my words come out there are lines that look like this (ex. J-O-H-N- going right thorough the letters and design. Any help with this?
I bought a sawgrass1000 and downloaded the software and followed the directions to a "t," and it will not print. Their customer service is a joke. It's either chat or email so you have to wait for a reply. They really need phone support for their customers with more complex technical issues as their videos didn't help to resolve my issue. They are also EST time so if you're on a different time zone and work the same hours they are open good luck. I have an epson with regular ink and never had an issue with it. Should have just stayed with epson for sublimation. Thank you for all your videos and knowledge. You're one of my top sub youtubers I watch.
I haven't had any issues with their support and I have used it. Maybe some clarity behind "it will not print" would help? Was there an error message? What exactly is happening? Did you try using a cable to connect to the printer directly to see if it is your connection?
My issue has been resolved. Luckily, something very simple, but I sure did invest in a lot of time trying to figure it out. When i would print from print management it just wouldn't print. No error messages..nothing. I'd press print and it would load a little circle for a few minutes then nothing. I contacted support for 2 weeks until I was finally scheduled a PHONE call instead of their online chat feature or an e-mail back and forth sending videos etc.. I went through all their troubleshooting videos via their website and youtube. I am a beginner so this is a new experience with this printer. Phone support would be a lot more convenient rather than email, and I'd say a lot of other customers have felt the same when looking for help on youtube for my issue. Considering the amount of money we spend it would be a lot more convenient. My issue was resolved simply by unclicking the "margin" box in the print management settings. Who would have ever thought that would interfere with being able to print at all? Not me. But very happy it's resolved and I have had an excellent experience thus far.
Hi Angie! This is not a vertical line problem but more of a blurred print. Please help...what can cause it...the blank ink is not printing crisp and clean..it has blurring or shadowing on the print itself...
@@AngieHolden ok thank you for answering. If anyone reading this has this problem and has found a solution to it please tell me because I’ve tried everything possible and can’t even use my Sawgrass at this point and have been stuck for months to no avail. 😔
I have messed with my Sawgrass a TON because of lines and I can't find a method that works every time. They have a tutorial on their website that I follow but I have not done a video as the results are so inconsistent.
thank you love your videos. I am printing more as Daniel Pentecost suggested. Wow it is so hard to see which is overlapping on these horizontal rectangles. still getting the lines but i have color. :)
Is banding a drip of a color on your print? I had that happen on my last two prints. I’m printing photos to canvas. My setting is premium Matt setting. My printer makes a noise mid way through paper during the print job. The black is what looks like a big drool going down & only in the color black. The Printer is only 3 weeks old. I did bump my printer twice before this happened. The first time the print drooled in the back on black I used it on my heat press & looks fine. The second print, I haven’t heat pressed it yet. How long after printing on A-sub paper does the print last before using heat press?
The paper is brand new I thought this paper might be good for photos on Canvas. I have A-Sub 120 G I used before the size is 8.5 x 11 and it worked without the marks but had a drool of ink on paper.
@@AngieHolden The Hippo paper tore though when I printed on it too. The A sub 120 had one long drool mark with the black. I Changed to Matt setting instead of premium setting seemed to help but the drool is still there.
Everything on my Epson EcoTank 2800 printer seems to be working ok but I never could find the box to uncheck high speed. My printer has “bidirectional” and I didn’t know that meant the same as high speed. Not sure why Epson uses that term.
what computer or laptop is everyone using because i have a epson 2803 and i cant find a settings page that looks anything like that i have a chromebook
Hi i went and downloaded the right driver and it still wont pop up the right printing preference page its still the old one i didnt have any trouble on my old laptop but i got a new one and it didnt do it can you help me please
I have followed the instructions step by step, finally I got the Magenta to unclog so when I ran the four-color purge sheet all four colors have the lines now. Please help. 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀

Sure! I put a free bundle together for anyone that would like them: angie-holden.ck.page/3a195a6e13
Could be your image itself.
This was so helpful! Thank you!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK!!!! Sooooo helpful!
Glad it helped!
Angie do you happen to use a Mac with your sawgrass? If so are you experiencing any problems with it printing incorrect sizing? To small?
I use a PC.
@@AngieHolden ok thank you for answering.
If anyone reading this has this problem and has found a solution to it please tell me because I’ve tried everything possible and can’t even use my Sawgrass at this point and have been stuck for months to no avail. 😔
You can try asking Cori George from Hey Let's Make Stuff!
@@AngieHolden I’ll do that! Tysm I appreciate your help so much!
Hi ive used print and me ink on sawgrass, could that be an issue? As ive tried everything
I have messed with my Sawgrass a TON because of lines and I can't find a method that works every time. They have a tutorial on their website that I follow but I have not done a video as the results are so inconsistent.
@@AngieHolden thank you your vudeos are amazing
thank you love your videos. I am printing more as Daniel Pentecost suggested. Wow it is so hard to see which is overlapping on these horizontal rectangles. still getting the lines
but i have color. :)
It is hard to see! HA!
thank you for your video paper settings fixed my problem
Great!
That sounds like a paper issue. Your paper is curling and hitting the print head. Look at your paper storage as well as humidity in your space.
@@AngieHolden I purchased the A-Sub 125 G 8.5x14 and the drips or drool started happening.
The paper is brand new I thought this paper might be good for photos on Canvas. I have A-Sub 120 G I used before the size is 8.5 x 11 and it worked without the marks but had a drool of ink on paper.
Ah that is probably your issue. Those weights absorb the ink at different rates.
@@AngieHolden The Hippo paper tore though when I printed on it too.
The A sub 120 had one long drool mark with the black. I Changed to Matt setting instead of premium setting seemed to help but the drool is still there.
you're the BEST!!! this helped me with my project.
Great to hear!
Everything on my Epson EcoTank 2800 printer seems to be working ok but I never could find the box to uncheck high speed. My printer has “bidirectional” and I didn’t know that meant the same as high speed. Not sure why Epson uses that term.
It is the same! Turn that off.
what computer or laptop is everyone using because i have a epson 2803 and i cant find a settings page that looks anything like that i have a chromebook
I would say to go directly to the Epson website and try downloading the print driver directly from them and see if that fixes it first.
So does theeco tank et 2760 have a head alignment setting???
You should find it on your screen of the printer or on the printer dialogue box on your computer.
Thank you🙏
Once again you have saved me!! Christmas giving may now commence. (whew!)
Enjoy!
Hi i went and downloaded the right driver and it still wont pop up the right printing preference page its still the old one i didnt have any trouble on my old laptop but i got a new one and it didnt do it can you help me please
Try removing the old driver and installing the new one.
Wherw would i find high speed on my sawgrass500 so i can swith it off and try
No there is not. For the Sawgrass, try a print head alignment.
the lines i'm experiencing have white dots all in between the lines that turn into little black dots on the cup when i sublimate.
Is this roller marks do you think? Otherwise I am not sure!
I read not to update the drivers on my Eason since it’s not a sublimation printer. What do you say?
I do not update.
Thank you so much. I was so stressed!!!!
Thank you so much I totally forgot I got new Macbook laptop and was getting higly annoyed with lines and I forgot to download the drivers.
You saved me Angie!! Thank you for always putting out helpful content!😊
Happy to help!
is this just for printing on paper or DTF film? If I get lines on DTF film...why?
This is generally just for paper. I do not use DTF film in my sublimation printer.
Thank you for the video, so much to learn
Glad it was helpful!
Great information! It fixed my problem. Thanks so much!!!❤
Glad it helped!
This did the trick! Thank You!
You're welcome!
Where do I find the driver for my printer on Epson website? I’m so lost 😢
Go to the Epson website and search for your printer. There should be an area for downloads with drivers.
Thank you so much, this corrected my issues
Happy to help!
THANK-YOU!!!! I was using the wrong setting.
Happy to help!
Awesomeness. Thank you, you are a life saver!!
Happy to help!
I have followed the instructions step by step, finally I got the Magenta to unclog so when I ran the four-color purge sheet all four colors have the lines now. Please help. 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
Print a nozzle check page to check for clogs. Then go over these steps to check for lines.
@@AngieHolden After following your printing steps of nozzle check, purge then head cleaning like a bunch of times it finally worked, thank you so much for the helping videos you create to help others.
Lifesaver! Thank you!!! 🤗
Glad it helped!
Where do we find print speed setting
Thank you so much. This was sooo helpful!
You're so welcome!
Wow thank you. I've had this printer for 4 months and didn't even really realize how sh!tty my prints were vs how awesome they come be. 😅
Glad I could help!
Wonderful video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have done all you said and I’m still getting vertical “roller marks”. I wish I could send you a picture so you could see. I have the epsom wf7210
I actually don’t have a workforce so I may not be any help. I would try different paper and check your humidity.
Every time I hit preferences on my printer settings I don’t get the option to turn down speed ?
Try going directly to the Epson website and downloading the driver for your specific printer.
it got it to work , but i was checking the wrong network on my end thank you for replying@@AngieHolden
