So Regatha was mostly featured in the novel The Purifying Fire, which stars Chandra who has been spending time at the Keral Keep getting tutored in fire magic by the keep's matron, Mother Luti, who as it turns out is Jaya Ballard, the very planeswalker who long ago inspired the monks that founded the keep.
It's important to know that Thomil and Worzel, who fought on Segovia (mentioned on Segovian Angel's flavor text) also fought on Ergamon, so that's an additional piece of information that we have. In addition, my favourite all time reference in this set is Merciless Repurposing's flavor text. The card depicts Urabrask's death and the flavor text is: As the harvesters bore away the last of his limbs, what remained of Urabrask heard Elesh Norn say, “Leave the traitor be.” This is a reference to original Urabrask's flavor text: When the Mirran resistance arrived, the furnace dwellers looked to Urabrask for guidance. His decree stunned the others: “Let them be.” It's incredibly satisfying to me. A third reference is The True Scriptures on the backside of Sheoldred - those are the phyrexian scriptures, the exact same words in phyrexian were shown on the card Phyrexian Scriptures and given to us on the Urza's Saga print of Dark Ritual's flavor text: “From void evolved Phyrexia. Great Yawgmoth, Father of Machines, saw its perfection. Thus the Grand Evolution began”. Always love when they call back to those because they seem to be the core of maybe all of Phyrexia's philosophy.
In regards to the petraglyphs, the artist who did Ruxa from Strixhaven, wanted to make the runes Ruxa was writing to be the ones depicted ON the Petraglyphs card, and I think they got most of them on there but ended up not being able to fit them all

In the books, Teyo is sparked and after being left in the diamond storm and plansewalks to Ravnica where he finds the guildless Araithia "Rat" Shokta, the assassin that kills Dovin Baan. Teyo also was a member of the shield mages, but sucked at it real bad. He later travel back to Goakhan with Rat and Kaya to begin the hunt for Liliana and start her redemption arc.
45:00 There is also the black aura "Fallen Ideal", giving a creature flying and sac a creature to give +2/+1. It depicts the fallen angels horn crown thingy.
When MaRo was asked about the Podracing he offered the idea of both players building a Birthing Pod deck and both racing to see who can go off first :P

A great episode on Lore and yet I spend most of it staring at the Mouse trap box every time Wheeler swapped leg. The box is so well placed that it just peaks out as 'use Trap' and then when you can see more of the box 'use Trap Game'. I have been instructed and now must use trap cards and find ones that can get into my EDH decks.
I kinda love mirrored depths. I kinda love all the "bad" cards in magic. They add variance and it makes for an interesting event (granted a not so good event ) but it does make the table have to team up to escape the plane and in its own way that is fun
I read The Purifying Flame, but it WAS years ago, so take this with a grain of salt, but iirc the titular flame isn't actually on Regatha? If I'm remembering right, Chandra is on Regatha, studying at Keral Keep, learning under Mother Luti, revealed to be Jaya Ballard MANY years later, when Jace shows up to steal a scroll that leads to Zendikar. Chandra chases after him and accidentally ends up on the wrong plane where she's stuck and can't leave for whatever reason, but meets Gideon. They go back and forth on how positively they feel about each other as it turns out he works for the order and is trying to take her in. They're friends by the end of it. Also, iirc, The Order of Heliud was a multi-plane thing, but most planes didn't know about each other because it was like one planeswalker who worshiped Heliod going around and starting new branches everywhere he went, kinda like Azor did when he founded the Azorius on Ravnica, then went off to other places, ultimately Ixalan. The order's name is explained as a misspelling on that plane just passing down over time.
Did Doctor Dinosaur design Karsus? MTG Lore is just so much fun, its too bad its so hard to find as far as i am aware....spread out in books and card quotes.
So what does it actually mean for Segovia for everything to be 100x smaller? Everything would still be the same size relative to other Segovian things, so what’s the difference?
I think it would be really cool if Kasmina had a connection to Xerex (maybe she's from Xerex?) given how she'll probably be the next big bad (or at least an anti-hero). And given how Iona got erased from Zendikar simply for having one of the most unfun cards (despite having the glorious flavor text for Angelheart Vial), I hope we get to see more of Xerex and its six-winged angels.
Cross promo with the current Yugioh Duel Links event where you fight Number 9: Dyson Sphere? There doesnt exist canons betyond the ones in card games surely, especially irl. 28:40
