    I think the fact that there aren't many goals in a game is better than if there would be tons of them, since the hype around scoring is so much higher then. Scoring a goal in football where there are just a few scored every match makes it a much more hyped up moment than for example scoring in basketball where each team sinks like 40 buckets per game

    As a preteen girl, many around me supported Madrid just cuz Ronaldo played for them and he’s hot 😂 so I was often alone in my Barca supporting :(

    I watched this after I saw Simone Biles quit on her team in the Olympics. Messi didn't have anything to prove. Yet he still had the pressure of every Argentinian's expectations on his shoulders for every world cup. And he went through it to the best of his ability. He didn't always have a great game, but he never quit on his team. That's how someone called the GOAT acts. That's true courage. Courage is not quitting because the stress got too much. Courage is performing to your best even if you don't feel at your best, even if you might make a fool of yourself or if you lose despite your best efforts. That's true courage. And it's going through the crucible of adversity that the truly great prove themselves, when everything is on the line for their team, for their country. What courage is definitely not, is quitting when you can still perform.

It's obviously not a contact sport bit you take a beating still. Also you'd definitely be more invested if you had a rooting interest.. like any sport I don't exactly get excited for other team rivalries or achievements sunless they are spectacular.

    11:09 there is a lot of "acting" more like diving in football but in this match? Oh boy... not a single tackle was a flop, players tried to injured each other.
    There are some rivaly like barcelona vs real madrid that are bigger then the life himself, so to lose 5-0 in the most important game to the fans and to the history of the club... will never be easy.
    In general, when you run 50 meters and then 50 meters back in less then 1 minute with the ball in your feet, you get tired, so when someone tackle you hard, you dive for 2 reasons, 1- unlike basketball, tackle to the ankle or the leg can end someone career easely.
    2- to dive on the floor give you and the rest of the team some seconds to breath and rest, its important.

    • @ido278

      @@ToddReacts yeah because if you never played football as a pro i don't think you can understand it without someone explaining to you.
      I remember when I was 15 we was in the semi finals of the Israeli cup, and we were the underdog in this game for sure.
      Until the last 10 minute we was down 1-0 and then we scored for a lucky corner and make it 1-1, in order for the game to go to extra time our manger said "everytime someone close to you, dive" to get down some minute of the clock and to rest because the other team attacked us with all their got.
      P.S great reaction, and Messi won the copa america (like the Euro but for south america)and prove all the haters wrong.

    @guittadabe5214 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's really difficult for a Latin American country to win the world cup. The Europeans have such a huge advantage in the size of the players. While the Barcelona team showed that short players can still dismantle giants when they play as a team, national team players don't get to play with each other that much, unless there's a team that hires many of its players from the national team of one country. So, most national teams end up a collection of individual players and individual talents that hardly get to play with each other. Those teams such as the Northern European countries who are naturally tall end up having a huge advantage. And countries like Germany have milked that advantage over the decades.

    • @TrojansOwl1
      @TrojansOwl1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ToddReacts Lain America, not counting Spain, with much fewer countries than Europe has won 9 out of 21 world cups. Not sure how that counts as “really difficult”, that’s almost half. Brazil has won the most world cups of any country and Argentina and Uruguay each have two. Those are three out of the eight countries to ever win a World Cup. The average size of the players from those countries is no different from most european countries except maybe Scandinavia whose players would be taller than anyone else’s and those are some of the worst teams historically. In football being small and having a low center of gravity that allows you to control the ball is what you want to be, the greatest players in history have all been under 6 feet, in fact, maradona, pele and Messi are all under 5’9”. Most of the best players today are under six feet. Think of Barry sanders and his low center of gravity. Exceptional. Being tall like Peter crouch is a disadvantage in soccer except on corners. Everyone knows this. The guy above is high. It’s actually the opposite of what he says.

So Argentina has been doing good in major tournaments with Messi. However, people's expectations are so high from Messi, that they expect him to win single-handedly the World Cup for Argentina sometimes. They forget that it is a team sports. It is also because of the fact that Argentina has won WC twice. Last in 1986 with Diego Maradona. Diego is still considered by many the GOAT and Messi is like an apparent heir to him in Argentina.
