I just bought the studio version on the website where it said that it was Studio 19 and the folder after I bought it shows 18.6, how do I upgrade to the 19 then?
My Da Vinci Resolve won’t work any more after the update to DVR 19, nothing works any more from Da Vinci Resolve. I cannot install it again beceauce he says a earlier version is allready there but I cant find it anywhere…..😢 when I download it again it won’t work…..I so regret it this update regards from Holland. Do anybody know how to handle?
I try to download and it says I have to create an account but I already have one. I don't have the option to log in, when I log in I get to another page and I can only download version 18.6.
You dont need an account for Davinci Resolve www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion choose which version you want, then in the bottom left there should be an option for "Download Only"
18.6 is 100% stable, im using version 19beta and its been good so far, havent found any bugs. If you want the latest color grading features go with 19, if you dont id go for 18

Im not too sure but I think version 19 is being released as a stable version sometime in the summer? I’m a beginner and I’ve never used Davinci resolve so I’m not sure how you would update it later on.

@@mjgfromDDD but its normal that you need your key! The key is written on the package you get when you buy it! At least you need a key! This seems very normal!
I need to switch back to version 18, which has worked perfect for many years. I switched to version 19 and can't deal with the slowness and other issues. Anybody have infor about switching back to Davinci Resolve 19?
If you backed up 18 projects , uninstall 19 and download version 18 from support centre www.blackmagicdesign.com/support install 18 and import the projects
Curious if you got switched back okay, and what issues you had. I'm running DaVinci Resolve 18 Studio on an 8 yr old Windows 10 machine. It works fine, though sluggish at times with larger projects. Am concerned I'll run into problems if I upgrade to 19, not finding any info on if it requires more processing power... Your question caught my attention.
@@shadduck I would have switched back to 18 if I could have found it on Black Magic website. I went back today after you answered and I did find a Windows 10 32K version. My computer uses the 64K. Anyway, I'm getting by with the slow ver. 19. I agree. 18 was working greate for me whereas 19 is very sluggish. I would have paid them the $300 to get version 18 back. By the way, I'm running Windows 10. Back in 2020 I built up my own computer: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core Processor runing 3.8GHz. 64 GB RAM and lots of disks.
19 was working great, until this evening after a Windows update... Now it is really struggling...may have to go back to 18, Is any one else experiencing this?

You need to download studio beta 19 on the downloads page

Sounds like you downloaded the studio version it’s asking for a key. 🔑 there’s 2 versions, free and studio. Try downloading the free version

Contact Black magic support they are really helpful
@@JTechWP Just did that and was told I needed my activation key or I couldn't get my paid studio version back. Such a shame they couldn't help me out.

how about transfer project resolve 19 to 18?
I don’t think 19➡️18 will work as 19 uses a newer database. Update to 19 it’s fully working 😉
can you install DR19 over 18 without uninstalling DR18?
