A Vietnamese blue beauty bc I'm basic like that haha I just got my 'dream snake', a palmetto corn since they finally came down enough in price for me to not feel like a lunatic for buying one and I'm not super interested in owning a wide variety of reptiles or anything really rare or exotic. And I'm not interested in breeding, so getting investment animals isn't for me. So, if I had unlimited money, I'd dedicate a room to collecting cool morphs of corn snakes (my favorite snakes) and maybe throw in a blue beauty and a baron's racer as a treat.

NERD is relatively expensive in comparison for their animals but it’s all for a very good reason they do an incredible job at ensuring the animals health if it’s brought in from the wild or you have one of the best breeders out there. You should come down and visit! I’m right down the street from there

With all the money in the world I wouldn't buy an expensive animal, but I would pay for the full vet education of individuals specializing in reptile, amphibian and avian health. I'd also put money into owning an exotic vet clinic. Ontario needs a new model for veterinary care overall IMO.

Some of my dream reptiles: an anaconda. Probably a yellow, but even that is crazy expensive for housing. A reticulated python!! Same problem there. And lastly, blue tree monitors ❤ (and duh, a bell's phase lace!!)
2-3 years ago I saw in Paris largest reptile shop, Boelens babies sold for 4 or 5k euros. There is as well the bassist of the french metal band Loco Muerte that produces loads of Boelen babies every year ;)
I know Nico from the band and he has just had his first clutch in 14 years with his Boelens so he isn’t producing loads of Boelens each year, it would be great if he was and hope this clutch makes it.

We have the morph thing in the plant world with variegation. Some weird new variegation patern or color wil be found and sell for thousands. 4 years later its been tissue cultured into oblivion and they have it at home depo and walmart for $29.99

I have a two headed tortoise hatchling in a jar. A friend of mine breeds T. hermanni and T. marginata and has around 250ish babies a year. This one died after 48 hours.
8:05 that listing was removed within minutes. The seller was also shamed all over social media. They trashed their reputation and nobody wanted to deal with them anymore. I haven't seen anything from them since and I hope nobody bought that monitor.

I got a crestie last august and it was fed wrong and would just get grabbed and wasn’t treated the right way. I got him repashy but I’m not allowed live food for him yet. I let him go for a bit and he hated me I though. But 3 days ago I hand fed him for the first time in months and he came all the way out. 2 days later I saw him out when I fed him again so I hand fed. Then the day after I see his head out (didn’t feed him though since it would be to often) hopefully sooner than later I’ll be able to handle him

Build an Olympic sized indoor pool 30 ft deep with marine iguanas. Pay for full time staff and have its food flown in daily. From halfway around the world. Entire building would imitate the natural habitat down to humidity, current, salinity. Yeah that should burn through a billion dollars.

Tegu... there are more expensive animals on my dream list, but it's the time that really stops me with lizards in general. Snake sitters are much easier to find and their care is a lot less per day.
While the reptiles aren't necessarily expensive, some can be so expensive to house and keep that I'd say they fit this category. For me, if money was no object I'd get an Asian Water Monitor but I'd give it a large zoo type exhibit with a large pond and glass under water viewing to see into the pond. I'd also do the same with a few crocodilians (including the underwater viewing.) They'd basically need their own building. That's why it's a dream.
