      @@Amit-kr3sh Hi! Your opening statement that you are a student of pol science reminds me of the statement of Trump supporters where they start any discussion by saying that they have grown up with blacks. Or the typical Hindutva guy who starts with "I have a Muslim friend". Since you are a student of pol science, you will know that it does not matter what the nationality of the expert is. It is his education, understanding and research work that are factors that create credibility. Also, if you study from primary sources of history and research as opposed to what your grandpa told you and what you heard on whatsapp, your understanding would be very different from the person who studies primary sources. Clearly therefore, we both belong to different worlds and any amount of arguing will not help. So, in the interest of peace and compassion, let us agree to differ and not get entangled in useless back and forth discussions.

    (1) Not sure if this will work against the BJP. (2) Also, giving more and more reservations and quotas, and perpetuating this system is fundamentally a bad idea. It is like treating the symptoms rather than the root causes. It also militates against the idea of merit. (3) The Congress party (especially) needs to understand that there is a lot of anger and hatred against it. They should accept that, apologise to the nation and ask for forgiveness and another chance, while talking about what their plans etc. are, for the country.

    • @swarnendu89
      @swarnendu89 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I am really saddened to see that you fundamentally didn't understand the theme of this whole discussion. It's not about the agenda of social welfare. Whether reservation or something like that will benefit the society or not? BJP is using the so-called 'Hindutva' to unite Hindus, their(opposing camp)tactics is to divide Hindus along caste lines so that BJP can't get the major chunk of Hindu vote. It's about winning by hook or crook. Let the social fabric go down the drain.
      Overreacting is no doubt excessive but sometimes being too naive is also detrimental. Evil people do exist among both sides of the spectrum.

    • @satyajitsheth4705

      I did understand that part and commented that it might not necessarily help even electorally.

    • @swarnendu89
      @swarnendu89 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@satyajitsheth4705 So, in case that would have helped them electorally you would be totally fine? That is insensitive. Winning an election at the cost of decimating a society and its social fabric is equivalent to a genocide. That's why I don't consider democracy to be sustainable governance system. It's the nature of democracy that sides with totally opposing rhetoric would contest to win the election. In the process it creates a permanent rift or ideological diviode among the citizens. This ideological divide doesn't vanish with the end of the election but it remains and in the process corrodes the society from inside like a termite.
