17:47 - The _Artful Dodger_ was a 2014 "Game Booster" with model number FIRE002S. Unlike the 2015 boosters, _Esmeralda_ (FIRE010) and _Jetwash_ (FIRE011), AD didn't have the "Coachworks" branding. Its box is 1mm longer and wider than the other two, and it only came with 1 Ship Card, 1 Drive Card, and 1 Plastic Ship. The other boosters (both from 2015) each came with ship upgrades, 39 tokens, dice, 1 story card, 1 setup card, and Jetwash came with a Leader card (Zoe). The _Artful Dodger_ ship is not Series IV, so there is no copyright info about the video game, QMx, nor about permission. The Series IV ships were much more accurate to the show and movie, which is why the better painted models in the Veterans Upgrade look better. As I recall, and from the model number, _AD_ was the very first booster for the game.
I got the veteran upgrade as well. You actually helped me make sense of the dice trough. I had originally put the dice in the cloth bag and was trying to figure out what that slot was for 😂
So excited to play my copy. I did a solo run that focused on misbehaving and it was great (and it barely fit on my fold-out table). I'm so happy with it. The fact that there's a spot for the neoprene mat when it's rolled up and how thick the box is...the removable trays...it's just great. The only downside was having to (finally) buy the blue IKEA bag I'd been eying for over a decade so I actually have a bag that can carry it.

@@davidgannon5388 I’m sorry… I would’ve loved to have done a full re-boxing of it, but it was a two hour ordeal and we were guessing on most of it. I’m hoping that we showed enough in the sped up parts that that helped you out a little bit though!

Ours came in February and I filmed my own, much cruder unboxing video with my daughter holding the iPhone. I'd been out of touch with the game for long enough, I was guessing about the meanings of some things. Your video is so much better! Love your interaction, too. Even though I had nearly the whole complement of the Firefly expansion, I went with the full 10th Anniversary Edition. That's about 1500 cards, the nice minatures (which is what hookded me, even though I've painted the old ones). Had to do some thinking, but the trays easily accommodated all the cards and counters. Love the whole game. Have been having a great time reacquainting ourselves with its play and the rules. The game is a table hog. With the 50-inch mat, I'm going to have expand my LevelUp! Suggestions. We put the large warrant tokens under the ship cards/boards. I divvied up the game tokens between the four trays. If you're using the Haven tokens, they will be specific to the player's choice of ship. We put the small warrant tokens into the labelled token tray. I didn't want to mix the cards thoroughly, so we placed the new expansion cards (deal and supply cards) face up beneath the original cards which are face down to quickly discriminate between them. The markings of the Aim To Misbehave cards are so subtle, but we put the original cards in one AtM tray and the new expansion cards in the other AtM tray. To be fair, I think organizing the cards was half the fun the first week or so we had the game.
We are hoping to get it to the table in about two weeks, we are taking it on vacation with us… Thankfully we’re driving… And introducing it to a friend out in Virginia. And yes, organizing everything was so much fun. Can’t wait to get this one back to the table!
Sort of what I did back in February…received the box before Presidents Day and took it to our cabin on Puget Sound to share with my daughter, as I noted above. Was just checking my LevelUp modular gaming surface and found out I have enough to make a 2’x5’ surface which is perfect for the game mat with room at each end for the Deal and Supply decks. (I have some 3D-printed card deck & discard holders coming which will fit better.) Maybe you’ve figured this out already, but I found that when opening and closing the box, pull the long sides of the lid away from bottom side by slipping your fingertips between them. This lets more air in more quickly I’ve found. Still get a nice burping sound often 😂.

got my Vera Mat and 2 sets of tokens yesterday after having the big box for a couple weeks. Good luck finding somewhere for the Vera mat if you got one. Frost Punk Iceberg box is just a hair bigger for comparison.
We did not get the Vera Mat, mostly because of the size. Our game table just won’t hold it, and the only real benefit, as far as I remember, is the card locations, but years ago we started using business card holders for this game, and it has carried over to every game with an abundance of cards…. Makes the enormous table presence a little easier to deal with.
Now I'm wondering if I ordered the Vera mat because when I rolled out the one in the box I was surprised it didn't have spots for decks. Kinda hoping not because man is this one huge and I'd have to buy another poster tube (unless it comes with one). (I just bought one for my Robinson Crusoe Collector's Edition mat that somehow didn't come with a storage solution despite how expensive the Gamefound was. lol)

Maybe you’ve figured this out already, but I found that when opening and closing the box, pull the long sides of the lid away from bottom side by slipping your fingertips between them. This lets more air in more quickly I’ve found. Still get a nice burping sound often 😂.
Would this have supported premium thickness sleeved cards?

I have an original Vera mat (it doesn't have a space for the capers deck) and I ended up having to buy a folding table that was 4'x6'

What are the dimensions of the game mat?
49" × 20" It's slightly smaller in scale to the original map, but it includes Kalidasa, Reaver Space (and Miranda, of course), and Blue Sun.
