Really enjoyed this video! It’s so refreshing to hear an honest breakdown of what life is like in Traverse City. I love how you touched on both the good and the not-so-good-it gives such a realistic view for anyone thinking about moving there. Thanks for sharing all this great info!

I found this video so informative! It’s clear you know Traverse City inside and out, and I love how you share both the good and the challenging parts honestly. The natural beauty and the strong sense of community really stand out. The National Cherry Festival is something I’d definitely love to visit someday. I also appreciated your tip for newcomers about getting involved-it’s something I value too. Glad I found this channel!

What are APT rates like and how is the traffic outside of tourism season?

Traffic during the "off season" is okay. One of the things that's so attractive about the Traverse City area is all the water access we have to Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan, and the various inland lakes in and around Traverse City. Because of this, traffic is tougher than it would be otherwise because of these "obstacles." Because I grew up in Northport and have lived in the area all my life, it seems like the traffic is worse than ever, but I work with a lot of people who move from bigger cities, like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, etc., and they laugh at our complaints about the traffic.

Oh, as for APT rates, it really depends on what you're looking for and where you're looking. If you want to be near Downtown, your rates will be much higher than if you're looking for an apartment on the outskirts. There have been many new complexes built in the last few years and some more being planned.

After being in the area since 1972 it was a great place to live before it was ruined by overdevelopment and poor planning. Crime and human trafficking, drugs, drunks downtown outside the bars harassing people. I know what TC really is and was.

It is certainly more expensive than it was several years ago
