Filing for bankruptcy in 2023, Oak Court Malls future is uncertain. Ranked as one of the most beautiful businesses in the city, this wonderfully vintage mall has been plagued with crime.

I’m from Memphis and this was my 1st time hearing Le Bonheur pronounced like that and I’ve never seen Oak Court’s commercials either.. Oak Court was a nice mall as well as the Mall Of Memphis that was demolished.. I literally just learned that the Mall Of Memphis was called the mall of murder this year smh… It seems like both malls had crime issues years before I was able to shop there.. The Mall Of Memphis was a hangout spot for my best friends and I while growing up.. The Hickory Ridge Mall was the only mall here with a carousel.. I’ll admit that the Oak Court Mall always had a nice food court but the Mall
of Memphis was the mall of choice for me.. Luckily I never experienced any of the crime issues there..

It was a beautiful mall. Then times I went to it.

I have doubts about going to this mall after hearing the reports about the random crimes going on there. I think the random crimes cause people to decide to shop online since they think that malls are not safe anymore causing them to decline.
