I mostly use small bits like this for repair, maintenance and modification of guns and knives. With knives in particular, one of the biggest issues I run into is that tiny little torx bits (T5-T10 sizes) have a tendency to strip out with any significant amount of torque. It takes a very high quality bit to handle a lot of torque against the itsy bitsy little nubs on a T6, for example. Personally, I have had very good luck with Wiha brand drivers, (specifically the made in Germany variety, as the made in Poland ones don't seem to hold up anywhere near as well.) What I'd like to see is a test of these Chinese made bits vs competitors from around the globe. I think the best way to do this would be to find some hardened steel torx screws, lock them in a vice, and use an in/lb torque driver to measure the force it takes to deform the bit. I have a sneaking suspicion that the set shown in this video would not hold up at all in comparison to something from Wiha or another more reputable brand, as that has been my experience with all other Chinese made torx bits. To be clear, I have nothing against Chinese made tools, in fact I think China puts out products that blow most of the rest of the world's manufacturers away in terms of quality for your dollar, but it seems most of the bit sets they put out are built for a price point that does not allow for the level of quality you get from a euro made bit.
I bought this about a year ago.. your review is spot on. Its truly an awesome kit for the price. Even the hexagon shaped box is super high quality. Its soooo cool, it has a magnetic latch and its like opening a puzzle box from a movie...
Bits are not chrome plated. That's a major plus for me. Maybe there are high quality mini-drivers with plated tips, but I've never met one in the wild.
Care to post the link to the one you purchased? Also when you get a chance, you may want to watch this video regarding Temu knockoffs. th-cam.com/video/VU0lBjtAq0Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9sP8xP4zyFxcgPt0
@@toastandcakeyoutube4395 Do you have a link of the HTM brand being sold by Temu? I'd like to buy it and do a comparison. HTM has been making this set before Temu, however Temu is selling some pretty crappy knockoffs. Some folks have complained about the bits being soft on another one of my videos, but so far they have all ordered from Temu.

I would be very interested in this type of test too! Though I mainly only use odd precision bits for computers and electronics.

I will have to try this. I have been a big fan of the Nanch kits but this looks neat.

Amazing set, bought it on Temu for 6$. Looks like just branding costs 20$ 😂😂
