There's a saying "no pain, no gain"- meaning that in order to achieve success (gain) you'll need to put in effort and sacrifice (pain).
This is a play on that.. The message is that there's so much continuous suffering, that to simply stop it temporarily is itself a great success
It's an example of self deprecation where the person makes himself the joke

Asalamu alejkum, you forgot to mention a very important thing what many people practice and everybody should know about. The prophet saw. said "Woe to the one who speaks and tells a lie in order to make the people laugh at it. Woe to him. Then again, woe to him."
This was recorded by Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi and al-Nasal with a good chain. So joking is ok if ita not a lie keep that in mind
