As sad as what has happened to him and many others, we just have to remember that it is a badge of honor to be excommunicated by those who have turned their backs on Jesus's teachings. To be recognized by them as not one of their ilk is actually something to be proud of.
And look now after time has passed. Calvin and Laurence are stronger, and building a following on their channels! Meanwhile their adversaries are floundering and looking even more ridiculous if that is possible 😅
These are harsh, evil times, where people need to be strong and have faith. These two men are shining bright lights, and a great example to us all 😊
In my 70s from working class slums of 1950s industrial city, I'm guessing, but at least 50% of
adults around me as a child would say they were 'not religious' BUT I clearly remember 95%
at least had immense respect for the church no matter what! Calvin reminds me of that era
of just plain human respect, someone who is intrinsically good, there for the people.

I think the church is mad to not be begging this young man to join. I'd make him the Arch bishop. Put it this way I'm a none believer and don't imagine that will change. But I would sit on uncomfortable seating in a cold church To hear him speak. Youngsters like him bring me a old fart hope for the country .

This is so terrible that the church would deny someone the chance to follow his calling. And Calvin is the one following the Bible, the church is not. How can this church claim to follow Jesus? It is not a church but another branch of their government. Unbelievable. He is right. We all, need to stand up to the mob.
if u actually go to the facts, he was pulled out of a certain [under/student type learning] church role since he was going on TV [holding that role a some time] and criticising those 'liberals' who would be above him - Holborn Church is liberal - sadly;
had he got the position, he would have created chaos - ie, being on tv with fly-on-the-wall criticsm of his vicar bosses
he was free to apply for church roles elsewhere
Calvin's contract is with Christ and God, not with those heathens!

The girls can’t argue against Lia Thomas or any other transgender or they will lose their sports scholarships in the US. I mentioned the issue at work and was warned against talking about controversial topics at work. I’m nearly 50 and don’t have biological kids but have two bonus kids thanks to my husband. I am treated just like a man at work as I don’t have the excuse of work and kids to deal with. When I nursed I worked every Xmas day for 15 years because I didn’t have kids. Apparently I am now a racist TERF when I have cared for all races and types of people. Sick of all this crap!
Being excommunicated from the Anglican Church is a joke….isn’t it? This is a good Man. He has a back bone. I didn’t even know of him until he was “ excommunicated“….lol. This is really a Badge of courage. There is an African Anglican Church that does joyously attempt to follow Christ and obey all the rules of the Church. In America we are using African Anglican Bishops (diocese) to be shepherded under.

I watched this man speak in some uni or other, and while I'm not interested in the church, there was no denying that he spoke with such clarity, integrity and common sense, his speech washed over me and I felt cleansed from the twisted, duplicitous narrative so often espoused today. He was passionate about his faith and what the church was meant to stand for - and while I don't agree with the ideology, he was 100% right to stand up and speak out against the erosion of his religions standards. His arguments were powerful because he was so correct! I came away from listening to him, convinced that no- one could have faulted his speech - but to hear that they now wish to oust him?!?! Well to me, that shows how degraded his church has become! Yet another example of integrity and common sense being so disgracefully ridden roughshod over so that a perverse world can corrupt our children - but then, as long as it gets bums on pews and money in the coffers, what does it matter?
Everything is so twisted these days, left is now right and right is now left in politics, and the extremists call out anyone that doesn't agree with them as fascists, while being the very ones that suppress freedom out speech while engaging in spewing hatred. etc, etc. Leaders everywhere have just rolled over and jumped on this nasty bandwagon, rather than speaking out for what is right and true and when someone does stand up for what is right, those same leaders hang them out to dry - corrupt cowards the lot of them!! 🤮

I was bullied by a “Christian” institution, ex employers and won a tribunal against them in court. How sad that these so called Christians actually are the opposite of what a decent Christian should be. Sadly it is all religions more about power of individuals at the top of the tree than care and compassion for fellow humans. 😢
The reason God did not will it for Jesus to attract more than 12 disciples during his lifetime is that He knew when organisations become big, they evolve into what the Church has become today - self-serving & out-of-touch. The lesson for all Christians is to stop following 'leaders.' Following is a form of laziness, anyway - if others lead, one can sit back, take no responsibility, opt out of difficult decisions & blame the 'leader' when things go wrong. The Christian Church is over 2,000 years old. now. If we're still acting like sheep, we haven't grown much!
Very well put Tom. I don't belong to a church because there is diversity in large groups and I wish to be just one with Jesus and His teachings. I watch videos and listen to sermons that help me to lead a good spiritual life. I don't want to be swayed by people who attend church regularly ( like groupies) who profess woke values. As the old hymn says "Jesus is just alright with me".
@@roypeaslee1305 Yes, a lot of churchgoers wouldn't recognise Jesus if He were staring them in the face - which, in fact, He is, every day of the year, in all sorts of disguises. This 'clamour' for a leader goes back to Biblical days, when the people demanded of Samuel, "Give us a king to lead us." (1 Samuel 8). Nothing much changes...

I just don't understand you Calvin. Where on earth in the King James Bible do people take ' Holy orders ' ? It's a catholic heresy. There are no priests in the New Testament church. Only the Royal priesthood of the saints where the Lord Jesus Christ is our high priest. There is no ascendancy of authority and as far as the c of e is concerned KEEP OUT. if you want to stand on the doctrines of the Lord Jesus Christ. Welby is an apostate as his very recent actions again prove.
