yeah ive noticed some boaters and anglers in other shows. It's probably just the camera doesnt catch them all the time. lol My favorite episodes are the Indiana crappie and the Ol' Miss crappie fishing. Mississippi has some HUGE crappie on Grenada! WHOA lol keep it up! This is my favorite fishing show by far! :)
great vid and are you suppose to texas rig the jig because everytime i use a jig in heavy cover when i always drag a lot of weed with me and its annoying i watch u guys thorwing it in heavy cover and when u reel it back no weed =( i need help
Right on man yah i get you. yah it just depends on the situation man. even the size of the bait and hook has a lot to do with line size and rod size. If i was fishing that same jig set up there using in open water id still probably use pretty heavy rod and line. You really gotta swing on jig fish to drive that hook thru. If you use light line and a flimsy rod with a big weedless jig your lure isnt going to penetrate the fishs mouth or you can have a good chance at snapping the fish off,
You might need to view more of our episodes; every single show we have done over the past 11 years, public water! Not like the old days "fishin` show" filmed mostly on private lakes and ponds to just sell product! Almost every show we have done has boaters, anglers, jet ski`s & swimmers present, thanks again for watching.
Don't get me wrong, bass fishing is one of my favorite things to watch... (We don't have largemouths here in the Netherlands...) But why fish with such strong rods/line that you got the fish in the boat in like 4-5 seconds after they bite? When fishing for pike here it can sometimes take 15 minuts to finally get the fish in.
for instance when im fishing big swimbaits which i almost always do ill use a 8 foot heavy swimbait rod 25-45 lb test 3 to 8 ounce ratings.Which is WAYYYY overkill if your fishing any regular bass baits but if your chucking 8 ounce baits you need a rod and line thats gonna be able to keep up with it or else youll have all kinds of stuff breaking on you! lol
Yea in that case I get it, with all the weeds and stuff you want the fish out of there asap. But on alot of vids they fish on open clear water with , in my opinion, way to heavy rods and lines! If I would fish for bass I would go as light as the situation lets me.
try to punch with light line and a flimsy rod if your lucky enough to even penetrate ur hook into the fish in that stuff your gonna end up snappin off regaurdless. punching is heavy line and wind wind wind thats some nasty stuff you gotta rip em out of. now if it was open water you can baby a double digit bass on 2 lb test if you know what your doing
man they sure know what there doing and they hook their fish crazy hard! but when i fish i don't like to reel them in really fast and keep them on top of the water like these pros do. i find it more fun to hook it and play with it a bit. even if it gets off, i still have more fun playing with them then getting them in the boat really fast
+BornToCatch if they were in that really heavy messy stuff, I sure would! I tend to find them in the more scattered cabbage, milfoil and lily pads in Ontario`s near north.
try using a texas rigged rage craw and peg the worm weight or use a slip float bobber stop ahead of the worm weight so the bait does not slide up the line and stays close to the weight.
how would you punch through a layer of algea covering an entire pond? I know there's fish down there but im worried anytime I punch through the scum goes with my lure
I'm from Ottawa and just wondering what lake this was? I'd love for my dad and I to test these waters (if we haven't already). We don't have a boat, we mainly fish from shore. But I've just purchased my first fishing kayak and I'm trying to convince my dad to get one as well. This lake looks like a good place to test them out!
Hey mreatensandwich Due tournament/pro bass fishing. You don't get paid to let the bass wrap your line around cover or to jump and spit the hook. You vet for the biggest 5 fish at the weigh-in. Amatuers and wanne-be-bass-pros do what the pros do, so they can feel like a pro. Stupid yes, but it is what it is.
Stick with Strike King buddy, they make em all! Every color and style you could ever wish for and they all catch fish, its up to you to put them in the right places, good luck.
Don't understand why he is throwing weight 30 ft in the air the cover isn't even that heavy like Florida and if the weight doesn't go thourgh go up in weight?

Great video. Finally a video that shows how to fish the grass! Can't wait to try it!

great video...what size stick baits do u use?
Mostly
What do you do with the one you put inside the boat?
Jay Zim eat it! We let them all go after some photos
ExtremeAnglerTV
That's awesome! Thanks for the great video!
20:45 he lets it go after some photos.
All bass are released in perfect condition

Fantastic video, you kept them on the live well to eat them? Are they good?
canatek Taste great with lemon and garlic dressing. Actually after a few photos they are all released
Did he say 65 pound line????
It 's braided...very small in diameter, but very strong so they can pull the bass through the grass and such.....(also very sensitive)

Set the drag a little nice little fight instead of pulling them like a rag doll know what ya mean
+Twiggy Skripten if you play with them in this stuff, you will never land any of them, period
Twiggy Skripten can't play with them punching. gotta hit em hard and turn em to get threw that crude lol.
get them out of the weeds ASP..
That's a long video, where on the timeline is Matt, punching the Bass? I came to see someone punch a bass. haha!
Time to full fill my destiny .
Most times it is the location of the bass that dictates the heavier line, not so much the size of the bass, rather where you are catching them.
would u recommend this technique for smallmouth?
+BornToCatch if they were in that really heavy messy stuff, I sure would! I tend to find them in the more scattered cabbage, milfoil and lily pads in Ontario`s near north.

Me too!
try using a texas rigged rage craw and peg the worm weight or use a slip float bobber stop ahead of the worm weight so the bait does not slide up the line and stays close to the weight.
where is this?
+Jason Xu north eastern Ontario-
What lake?
Yeah
how would you punch through a layer of algea covering an entire pond? I know there's fish down there but im worried anytime I punch through the scum goes with my lure
they will find it, punch thru the stuff with texas rigged baits

whats the name of the lake?

Tungsten tour grade by Strike King, bullet head; I use either a Menace grub, Rage Craw or Rodent, all from Strike King

I thought the same. Definitely scaring fish off with that bomber run he is throwing.
Gnarly Dude If by scaring off you mean catching them... then yea...
Gnarly Dude If by scaring off you mean catching them... then yea...
+Bradley Clifton it does not scare them
ExtremeAnglerTV I fish the same way Works for me to..
Love your Chanel subed u
The faster you get a bass in the less stress.
I think because of tournament fishing. These guys want to get that fish in the boat as quickly as possible to prevent any chance of it getting away.
that's fishing EH
I have to admit, that is a good comment, lol
ay
Cringe
Fire whoever edits these videos, the music is so cringy!
millions say they love it? lol
