I'm impressed by the flex in the arms and the hits this truck has been taking!! Hit after hit after hit!! And the occasional 🌲!! I'm also glad with all the heat issues nothing had fried except for the bearing that was an issue with the 3s line. I think since it's a known issue that maybe they should have addressed it. But since it is a known issue, maybe just have the trb rc bearing to fix it when it goes? So far very impressed with what I've seen out of this truck!! Obviously to be determined since they aren't even available yet!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Overcharged an "old pack", added tons of resistens EC5+EC5(loop) + EC5->XT90 + XT90 ->Dean + Dean. Count the soldering points. In order to use the 100C, that mess would have to clock in at under 15mOhm (XT90 alone comes at 25mOhm). You fried that pack by overvolting the cells and maybe because it was old(?). Why is that stuff getting so hot? Your cable mess add as lot of resistence. Ask you motor to do work, it does need to convert energy: restrict the flow of current and it takes longer to get that work done - less current over a longer period of time is more time spend in inefficient parts of your systems "load cuve". The high voltage drop across your adapters may even put the esc into problems with keeping the fets open -> additional heat. Spektrum is just a Quickrun core with some extras - it's not doing any magic... ; )

Be careful with that want. You have 4 rigs. Make sure the rc guy that you might meet has more rigs than you. I've come across a few JELOUS haters. It's nice to run with others just be careful.

recently upgraded the entire fleet to spektrum 8s smart escs, was tired of my blx 185s dying couldnt be happier, sucks it puffed one of your batteries, i havent had a smart esc kill a pack yet, its cool checking cell voltage after a bashing run and having the battery be perfectly balanced still. We have came so far with rc in the last two years its kinda crazy
just buy a hobbywing ....

I'm not saying I don't go through same crap , I have 3 those escmotor in one combos , the one that's fairly new went out . I spent more than a hour trying get this thing to reprogram , cost 80$ meanwhile separate esc motor only 30$ and you only be out 15 ar most in failures, my point we always paying extra for the smart stuff, it's cool better in some ways but also not .

That was actually only three beep count the last beep is to confirm that everything is working & ready. Listen carefully and you'll hear the beeps are different

Had the outcast 4s v1,now a kraton 4s. This v2 is it!!!!! When I have the cash. Scared me when you showed the voltage on that lipo, that is toast be careful with the time bomb!

Ahahaha i said. Few mins ago the blx stuff on my v1 is better than the spektrum. My esc half of the wire had to be resoldered because it broke off at he cap pack due to wire fatigue. Thats how bad i have run that thing. It was my dayli driver lmao.

@@rcguygarage I don't have a huge selection of rigs in the stable. 🤣🤣🤣 so all my rc's have IC5 connectors. But I have managed to scrape up enough to get 6 rc's in the last 2 yrs.

Dont think its the battery..i use the deans adapters as well and it got so hot it started melting the adapters but using ec5 connections i had no issues!

Last I heard was the 22nd that hobby shops were supposed to be able to sell it but I think possibly the date was pushed back to make sure that all of the vehicles had the updated cup but I don't know so don't quote me I don't work for Arrma or Horizon 🤣😜😂

How did you even charge the pack that high. Either your charger is bad or your manually setting the voltage wrong. Also, you have way to many adapters on that thing. Take the time and solder the right connector
I don't get people wanted to use high C rated batteries other than for speed running or racing, it's just putting more heat into your electronics

@@rcguygarage not really aimed at you just in general I'm seeing all these high capacity lipo's with high C ratings being used for bashing. IMHO it's kind of waste of money because in less you KV down or adjust gearing you're not going to be able to run for much longer especially when running in hot conditions.
You should research how batteries work. Batteries don’t put anything into your esc. Your esc pulls energy from your battery pack. The c rating is how much resistance there is when pulling that energy. And resistance causes heat! If anything a higher c rating will give you cooler temps and longer run times.
@@MikeJonesRacing4420 higher capacity means running for longer which makes things hotter and a higher C rating gives out more energy so as well putting more strain on drivetrain etc... it will also put more heat into the motor but all this causes the ESC to run cooler does it 🤦

I’m not trying to argue, but I know that you have been given bad info somewhere along the way! Or you misunderstood/ misread your info!

The amount of resistance the deans + the adaptors have been creating you are lucky the esc didnt burn or worst the baterry explode. If the esc didnt shutdown you could have exploded the lipo
