Many pros can't admit that 2.6 is the deck that needs the most skills in this game simply because they can't do that awesome moves that 2.6 players use to do in every match. Do you know what is the right ranking? No? Neither do I... I only know that 2.6 is in first place and even more certain is that 2.9 cannot even be compared to 2.6.

You will get 58 trophies from a 600 trophies defizit than your opponent (as they released party mode, there was a bug showing the amount of trophies you would get, so that's why I know). I don't know what is the highest possible on ladder cause I never saw more than +48. There might be a maximum trophie range between you and your opponent, so maybe that's highest
Once I believe it was higher ‘cause I remember watching Guanek winning live a +51 lmao, but right now the maximum and minimum has definitely leveled around 30, though on top ladder from -13/-14 to +45/+46 sonetimes occure

This was a awesome video. It has really helped me wrap my head around alot of the decks and archetype. Also in helping me choose a set 5 decks to practice and hone my CR skills more. I agree that cheaper is harder, but I think heavier decks are more important to know interactions because each card is more important. If you misplay ice spirit vs misplaying pekka, it's worse with the pekka

Enjoyed your video and getting a pro's perspective on decks. Agree on the high skill cap on cycle decks due to the many micro decisions needed. Less convinced by the argument for bait. Back when it was a couple of cards and players were alternating between ones with different weaknesses, sure. There is nothing inherently skillful IMO however about packing a deck more cards than a balanced deck can possibly have counters for. If any the skill element is on the opponent for applying their limited counters effectively whereas the bait player gets value for every play that cannot be answered optimally. Would like however to hear your view on this
Xbow has so much health and like absolutely absurd life time, requiring if it has a sliver of hp you'll still have to small spell it after already spending three troops on it. Stuff is wild, also I'm bad

Just an idea to change the elixir golem. What if the elixir golem gave 1 elixir for killing the golem, 1 elixir for each golemite killed, and then 0.5 elixir for each blob killed. The opponent would be receiving 5 elixir instead of 4 and the elixir would be given faster than just by killing them blobs. See how this affects the elixir golem for a couple of months. If this change is too much, then slightly buff stats to compensate. Edit: Second option: Change elixir golem cost to 4 Change elixir distribution to the same as mentioned above except for the golem phase. Buff damage for all phases by 3%
Only mk is a trouble for xbow cycle I found out. I consistently beat players with 1lvl higher cards than me on 4.8k trophies, but besides sparky mk combo, which I cannot beat with just fireballs. That's why I kind off switched fireball to rocket, minion horde is rare for my experience, and wizard is very easy to counter by this deck.
Jakub Malinowski megaknight is not a huge problem when you save your ice golem and Tesla. The biggest problem is when they have Valkyrie, bowler, and musketeer in the same deck😂😂

Disagree with 2.9 not winning in perfect world. For some matchups, yes. Others, even if you play perfect, 2.9 will eventually out chip if they also play perfect. Partly what makes them frustrating. Watching tower slowly chip away or get spell cycled and there’s nothing you can do.
Rabee Chowdhury Beatdown doesn’t counter 2.9 inherently. Depends on the deck. In order to counter, it has to be able to apply enough pressure to cycle back to the tank and generate enough elixir to play it. Or have earthquake. Most giant miner will counter because of spells and 2 tanks. Lava hound doesn’t counter. Very difficult for lava hound if x-bow player is good and has good cycle.
@@-13eNnY-Is Lavahound really beatdown though, if so its still a rate of 72% of people to using beatdown to win against x-Bow. Though I must say X-Bow is a hard counter to lavaloon and lava clone.
Rabee Chowdhury Lava hound is just bad against x-bow. Need double elixir for a chance but you’re pretty bad at x-bow if you’re waiting till then. Even in double, it’s still pretty good for x-bow. Only lava hound deck that stands a chance is lava night witch and that’s because night witch is a bit broken. Still x-bow matchup in single especially if you can make a prediction play or two.

I played the Pekka Battle Ram deck, and i hate when i have to deal with lavaloons, lava miner with barbs, xbow 2.9, hog 2.6, some golems and the cementery :'( play Pekka decks is so hard, many bad matchups and hardcounters anyway I love Pekka/Battle Ram

I don't care what any pro player says, 2.9 does not take skill. "Oh i missed my fireball, no worries, I have it again" Especially with their ability to simply stall and FB/Log cycle games out with the new OT mechanic, I can never see that deck taking a huge amount of skill anymore when you can literally just win by defending now.

If you really think golem is low skill then go try to win Back to back GCs or make it to top ladder :)

There is nothing inherently skillful IMO however about packing a deck more cards than a balanced deck can possibly have counters for. If any the skill element is on the opponent for applying their limited counters effectively whereas the bait player gets value for every play that cannot be answered optimally.
Would like however to hear your view on this
I just love the xbow decks, it's pretty high skilled and it makes me just a better player overall

Xbow has so much health and like absolutely absurd life time, requiring if it has a sliver of hp you'll still have to small spell it after already spending three troops on it. Stuff is wild, also I'm bad
quid #2 Only bad players whine about 2.9. Nobody uses it in CRL, pro players will always win when not making mistakes, which makes low skilled players the only people that actually cry about 2.9

Elixer Golem needs to be 4 Elixer.
Only way it can be balanced.
Just an idea to change the elixir golem. What if the elixir golem gave 1 elixir for killing the golem, 1 elixir for each golemite killed, and then 0.5 elixir for each blob killed. The opponent would be receiving 5 elixir instead of 4 and the elixir would be given faster than just by killing them blobs.
See how this affects the elixir golem for a couple of months. If this change is too much, then slightly buff stats to compensate.
Edit: Second option:
Change elixir golem cost to 4
Change elixir distribution to the same as mentioned above except for the golem phase.
Buff damage for all phases by 3%

Yesterday I was playing on ladder with 2.9 xbow...
First opponent: Pekka Mega Knight Ebarbs wizard witch minion horde...
Only mk is a trouble for xbow cycle I found out. I consistently beat players with 1lvl higher cards than me on 4.8k trophies, but besides sparky mk combo, which I cannot beat with just fireballs. That's why I kind off switched fireball to rocket, minion horde is rare for my experience, and wizard is very easy to counter by this deck.
Jakub Malinowski megaknight is not a huge problem when you save your ice golem and Tesla. The biggest problem is when they have Valkyrie, bowler, and musketeer in the same deck😂😂

Disagree with 2.9 not winning in perfect world. For some matchups, yes. Others, even if you play perfect, 2.9 will eventually out chip if they also play perfect. Partly what makes them frustrating. Watching tower slowly chip away or get spell cycled and there’s nothing you can do.

Rabee Chowdhury Beatdown doesn’t counter 2.9 inherently. Depends on the deck. In order to counter, it has to be able to apply enough pressure to cycle back to the tank and generate enough elixir to play it. Or have earthquake. Most giant miner will counter because of spells and 2 tanks. Lava hound doesn’t counter. Very difficult for lava hound if x-bow player is good and has good cycle.
@@-13eNnY-Is Lavahound really beatdown though, if so its still a rate of 72% of people to using beatdown to win against x-Bow. Though I must say X-Bow is a hard counter to lavaloon and lava clone.
Rabee Chowdhury Lava hound is just bad against x-bow. Need double elixir for a chance but you’re pretty bad at x-bow if you’re waiting till then. Even in double, it’s still pretty good for x-bow. Only lava hound deck that stands a chance is lava night witch and that’s because night witch is a bit broken. Still x-bow matchup in single especially if you can make a prediction play or two.
@@-13eNnY- I mean its true but still, X-Bow decks are really only good against bait, Cycle, Balloon, Off-Meta, Other X-Bow decks, Elite Barbs, And Control Decks. Then Again Control Decks are good against beatdown which is good against siege.

For example, an Ebarb, sparky, fire wizard, witch, giant, graveyard, freeze, log deck is low skill, but still terrible. You won't make it very high on ladder with it.

I feel that after the changes to lava hound the lavaloon and lava miner decks have become more hard to use, especially against x-bow

I played the Pekka Battle Ram deck, and i hate when i have to deal with lavaloons, lava miner with barbs, xbow 2.9, hog 2.6, some golems and the cementery :'( play Pekka decks is so hard, many bad matchups and hardcounters anyway I love Pekka/Battle Ram

Hog princess - lumberjack balloon - miner control - lava clone - lots of other royal giant and hog decks
Some of them are dead but people have success with them like me I'm at 5700 with hog exe nado and my deck is not max and I'm lvl12
Exe is a dead card right now, atk speed is so slow, low dps

I don't care what any pro player says, 2.9 does not take skill. "Oh i missed my fireball, no worries, I have it again" Especially with their ability to simply stall and FB/Log cycle games out with the new OT mechanic, I can never see that deck taking a huge amount of skill anymore when you can literally just win by defending now.

The siege archetype i.e. xbow and mortar take so much skill cos they have pretty much the most bad matchups in the game than any other cycle deck.
Vulkan's rankings are pretty well-reasoned. I'm surprised I've been running the 2nd most skillful deck as my ladder deck for the past year... and still trying to master it.
Splashyard deserves rank 16 or 17 at least. It is so easy to defend everything and counter push with graveyard...
As a mortar bait player, I think it should be a lot lower on the list. It's honestly not that hard maybe its just me idk

It's super hard if you play at around 6000 and there also tons of variations for mortar bait how high you are and which mortar bait variation are u playing?
i’ve played 2.6 and log bait and i can definitely say log bait is high skill ..2.6 is really easy to learn
