    I'm 14 and a relatively new modeler. do you have and tips tricks or advice for me?

    • @ScaleHangar182
      @ScaleHangar182  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yeah if you can, join some scale modelling facebook groups and don't be shy to ask questions if you have any problems. Ask for honest opinions as some people may see things that sometimes you don't on your model and this can help a lot. Lastly, never let anyone discourage you and feel down, this is also YOUR hobby so enjoy it!

      Think of the hobby as a career. Tips and tricks will only do so much but won't make you a better modeller. If you were to look inside an advanced modellers hobby room/area, you will find shelves with many modelling related books, reference material, subject specific books and a bench full of different tools, paints, materials for any purpose. You have to feel your way through what you're comfortable with, what works for you. What airbrush or paint brand works for someone else might not work for you or even be available in your area so you may have to compromise. Just build more models, watch what other modellers do. TH-cam has a large modelling community. Join your local scale model club or go to exhibitions showcasing scale models and ask questions. Join online forums. Experiment too. But the no 1 rule is have fun and enjoy it and don't get suckered in to being swayed by negative opinions on certain subjects.

      Let me add my vote to joining clubs and groups. One thing I absolutely love about modeling these days is that modelers are so willing to share what they've learned. I wish that kind of support had existed when I stared modeling in the 1960s when modelers were considered weird. ;>)

      Thankfully some products like red fox cockpits saves a lot of time and looks great. I can spend that time on detailing more something else:P

    Good day,
    In this video, you use wire, braided wire, certain Paints, and other items to detail. Could you possibly have a list of the things and email me the list. I love how you did this and I have an 1 /32 Revell F-4 Phantom that im going to be starting in a few weeks. Do let me know.
    V/r Bob.
    Let me know and I'll send you my email.

    Hey if it's possible are you able to build a model millennium falcon and also you did a wicked job on this model

  • @RealDaveWinter

    The problem here is that you spent hours adding weathering to the tub of the cockpit and the seats, but the IP and various sidewall panels are in mint condition and don't colour match. The sounding grey of the side wall panels should be the same as the tub, and just as scuffed up. That's the biggest issue with cockpit decals, they only really work if you're doing something fresh from the factory.

    • @ScaleHangar182
      @ScaleHangar182  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When its closed up you actually dont see that colour differance and if you wish, you can always weather them too.

  • @fangirl988

  • @defdef6230
    @defdef6230 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the New 3D decals... Just concern about one thing and is cockpit colors! They always need to aline with interior dark gull gray... because they're far away... from that! Well done Dawid... nice to see you back! Cheers from Argentina...

    • @ScaleHangar182
      @ScaleHangar182  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After everything is closed now that differance really not that obvious.
