I respect the hell out the classic Mega Man formula, but it honestly isn't really my thing. These games however resonate with me big time. I remember picking up the first one on a whim and fell in love with it.
Makes sense. Games with more RPG elements naturally tend to be deeper, and MMBN had such unique combat. Great series, even if the games had wayyy too much filler
I was too young for original Megaman and Sonic era but these Battle Network games are along with things like Pokemon, Beyblade, Metabots, Digimon, Yugioh, they were like my golden time of childhood.
That interactive PET device was absolutely amazing...It just makes me wonder that in the day and age of smartphones and smart devices *why in the hell do we not have an interactive PET style app for our phones, Capcom?!*

Exactly their will be a Battle Network collection of all 10 games next year though Technically ONLY 6 Battle Network games where made SOME of those games are divided into 2 different versions similar to the POKEMON games so for like the 5th and 6th games the 2 different versions have different bosses to kill in each one. The Battle network collection is going to be released next year but that collection is NOT limited to the Switch it will have a PS4/PS5 version of all 10.
If it’s between seeing mega Man redone although I did like the boss fights and mega Man 11 I would much rather see a remake of final fight or even a sequel whatever they happen to do with it you know I would also like see the sequel that was released on super in and the re-release as well with online play I never played that one never had a super Nintendo song hopefully Ken can make a guest appearance and final fight I think he’s perfect for it as well as his classmate that would be hilarious to see them spin kicking and up cutting their way through the enemies of final fight that would be pretty funny
Since you’re such a big MegaMan fan they did the company Capcom did release a free version of mega man that I thought was pretty cool it was versing the streetfighter characters they were the boss fights actually in the game and it was called MegaMan cross street fighter or street fighter cross MegaMan it was only on PC but I do recommend it if you haven’t already played it I’ve been trying to convince the company to actually be released the game I think that would bring a lot of audience members to try out mega man that normally wouldn’t pass up on the opportunity because a lot more fans are big on streetfighter than MegaMan so we’ll see what happens,
And ask for that free street fighter cross mega man game that the cabcon company did release on PC unfortunately although as much as I wanted to play it I was unable to really enjoy it because you had to play the game with the keyboard and mouse that was very annoying with a keyboard I like to play games with the controller particularly the directional pad and you know it was way too complicated for me to really enjoy that game that’s also why I’ve been begging the company to re-to street feder across mega man came even if it was like $20 I would gladly support it because hilarious mega man fighting against you know the for fighter Brazilian hil hilarious so good
Battle Network is my top favorite MegaMan series as a whole! I remember watching the Anime on KidsWB and was invested in it. Lan Hikari was my favorite protagonist because he's always want to help and have fun at the same time
I stg when I saw the trailer the amount of chills was insane me and my brother always wished we found more people who loved this series and felt our whole lives that this was slept on. But to see their is an actual community with others our age in the mid late 20s is insane and I’m happy we all get this huge nostalgic moment.
Megaman Battle Network 3 Blue Version was my first Megaman game ever. I loved every single moment I spent playing the games, having fun playing the game and honestly crying at points. I'm so pumped for the Legacy Collection and hope this helps us get a future title from this part of the franchise!
Once the legacy edition of MegaMan Zero was announced, I began praying for a Battle Network collection as well. This game in my honest opinion had me more sold than the Pokemon games. The strategy of facing each opponent Navi was different and refreshing every new area. Finding the secret bosses, unlocking areas that required specific data, and the story!! Playing against friends in round robin tournaments during the summer bc Pokemon was far too easy for us at the time and Battle Network kept us in our toes every battle. Blue Moon and Red Sun were my favorites to play and the last games were amazing as well. I spent HOURS trying to clear through the game and DAYS trying to beat the secret boss Bass!! Mannn those were some good days of gaming and I AM EXCITED to have those games to play again
As a battle network fan, I've been hoping for a MMBN Legacy collection for SO LONG! AND IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! I am so hyped and my love for the series just keeps growing.

Loved seeing you nerd out about this series. I only ever played the first one for some reason, but I was absolutely obsessed with that game. So excited that this collection got announced (although I just bought all the games on the Wii U VC because the store is shutting down lol)
I doubt it. The series wrapped up with 6 pretty nicely. The fact that this series not only got 3 main games but 6 shows how much it was liked by the audience.

I remember the morning the collection got announced, I just sat there in awe, like, is this REALLY happening!? This is literally what I wanted since the original MM legacy collection was even announced! With each passing Legacy Collection I just said "Battle Network when?" Now it's FINALLY coming!
I find the BN and SF franchise real time capsules here. The BN was at the time computers were still bulky, everything was connected through a tangle of cables and plugs and people still saw the internet as this dense jungle to be explored, then came Star Force and tackled everything being wireless, social media dominating society (the central theme of pretty much all three games is related to social media somehow) and even aliens being involved! They all feel dated and timeless at the same time.
This was the first game I got with my Gameboy and I wouldn’t have had it any other way, simply a masterpiece. I played many games throughout the series (I even had one of those PETs too) and I can barely stand to wait until 2023 for this legacy collection. Here’s hoping it sells like wildfire and they announce plans for a modern sequel! Great video!!
One small correction: PETs or PErsonal Terminals, where the devices people used, the AI programs to explore the Network where called NetNavis or Network Navigators.
The announcement of these returning had me so excited! I actually got into Megaman through the cartoon which was based off of these games basically (Megaman NT Warrior) and when I played my first one I fell in LOVE! These games are AMAZING
I am so incredibly excited for this collection! This and the X series was my childhood. I just really hope that there’s some way to play multiplayer in this collection. The PvP in these games are incredible and it would be a shame to completely gut that feature. I’m not getting my hopes up but I would die if they added an online PvP mode
Unfortunately it's very unlikely that will happen. That would be a new feature...the thing is the mmbn games were built on assembly code. Modern games are no longer being built on that so it would be a huge task to establish multiplayer.
I’m playing through BN2 again right now and my lord I forgot how mad some of the objectives are! Jacking in to Dex’s game boy to find a virus with 0 help except “the virus is somewhere on the net” thanks…. Hahaha I love these games
Omg dude I litterally haven't seen this gameplay since I was a kid. I remember having this game and loving it but I was probably too young to really understand it. Thanks for this!
I've never seen someone obsess about this series as much as me before. I found this series via the anime when I was a kid, and I loved it like other kids loved Pokemon. It destroyed me when they just dropped the dub after Axess. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because that was how I discovered Japanese dubs for the first time, through watching Rockman EXE Stream with subs. The Cross Fusion theme is actually one of the best themes ever. Nobody can convince me otherwise. I never skip the credits to the EXE Movie, because that theme is such a banger. Of course, I love the games too. I started with MMBN6 Falzar, and sorta worked my way backwards, playing via emulation. I remember one day finding a seemingly brand new copy of Double Team DS at an anime convention in 2017, and I slapped it on the counter and bought it without even asking the price. It was like, $30 or something, absolute steal. I played the shit out of it on my 3DSXL. I was never a big fan of the first 3 games, because the artstyle just didn't fit with me. The brighter colour tones and more refined sprite designs for the later games was much more my pace. If I'm revisiting any of these games, it's usually 5 & 6. The formula just felt so good by the end of the series. I feel like a Pokemon fan, if Pokemon had just stopped happening 17 years ago. Hearing Andrew Francis as MegaMan in the trailer took me back like nothing I've ever known. And he's supposedly been approached for something much bigger than just a commercial cameo too. So man, if they do any sort of dubbing of these games, I'll lose my mind.

Man I had the same experiences growing up with this game. Here in Brasil we didnt have only the tamagochi toy thing and I was so jealous of you guys out there haha tnks a lot for the video, it was such a great ride remembering all this stuff with you.
Battle Network 3 Blue was my first BN game. It was my first of any kind of Mega Man game, come to think of it. Talk about setting a high bar on the first impression! It hooked me on the rest of the series with its outstanding combat and customization options, excellent story (as card-based RPGs go) and absolutely bangin' music! To this day the N1 Grand Prix battle theme gets me pumped!!! I would hope that the reason for the long wait for the collection is because they're ironing out some sort of online PVP, chip trading and maybe even a Grand Prix mode for NSO, PSN and Steam? An arena mode where you can set up custom matches and play as other Navis would be nice as well. There's quite a selection of playable navis from 5 and 6 alone - if they just added Gutsman, Roll, Bass and some of the other recurring bosses we'd have a pretty good set.
Was looking forward to a video by you ever since the collection was announced! I treat my CIB Battle Network games the same way lol finally got the last one I needed the other day. But now with this collection coming out, I won’t have to mess with any of them whenever I want to dive back in.
I literally just started re-playing Battle Network 3 Blue. Years ago, my mom bought my brother and I the game, with I owning Blue and my brother owning White. I grew such an attachment to that game, but sadly I never acquired a PET, however I did own a Megaman and Protoman figure, and they came with some battlechips. I also watched the anime every Saturday morning until it stopped airing. 3 is the best game, and 5 is great too, specifically Double Team DS version, the one my brother and I played.
I absolutely loved the Battle Network tie-in anime and toys as a kid but never had access to the games. I am beyond hyped to be able to play the collection. Big thanks for the heads up.

I've been a casual megaman fan, never played battle network because by the time I got into JRPG's, speculation for a battle network legacy collection had already begun. Seeing the love people like you and Ash Paulsen have for this game is EXACTLY what makes me so hyped to finally get into it.
I am also a MegaMan fan and I am so happy to see your love for this series :') You know what's the best part? We live in a real life version of the Battle Network Universe, we just don't have P.E.T.s and Net-Navis (Short for "Net Navigators" which is what MegaMan and the rest of the virtual characters are :) ) we just have smartphones that can connect to our cars, our watches, child monitors and even our fridges! What a time to be alive for us Battle Network fans 🌚❤️

My first experience with these games was mega man battle network 5 double team ds. I loved these games growing up and I’ve been wishing for a remake of these games for YEARS, and I’m so excited they’re coming out! I only played the first one on the gba after my ds game and didn’t get to play the rest so I’m very excited
God, I'm so excited that Battle Network is getting a new lease on life, it was dealt dirty by a number of factors back in the day, but now it'll be seen way differently
BN5 was my favorite in the series. I’m incredibly excited to see the community rallying around this game. BN2 and 3 were the only ones I didn’t beat so I look forward to beating them in order. Hopefully we get Star Force next haha.
I used to watch the anime and didn’t even know about the games, I did rent Network Transmission as a kid but had no idea about the actual games. It still really holds a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to finally play them.
I loved all these games so much, including the TV show. Was a huge BN fan to the point where I had to get some merchandise and games imported just to play them as a kid.
I remember playing all of these games. I also remember the reviews for these games too. I personally loved them all. The worst for me was BN 4 which was just tournaments arcs. Yet, the critics loved that game more than BN5 and BN6 which i felt were far superior in story and gameplay.
Game critics certainly did not play through the games completely, and of note your first play through would only have version 1 (and ex) viruses so comparatively it was likely easier for them to complete. I highly doubt any of them did new game + or ++

I never thought this series would see the light of day ever again. So glad Capcom is bringing it back. I can admit the earlier games didn't age the best but everything about this series as a whole is just gold. The Soundtracks, Battle Systems and even how sick the art style is from game to game. I wonder how they'll handle the side quest stuff with Boktai from BN 4 - 6. Either way very excited to play these and hope some younger players pick it up.
I downloaded a PDF of The Complete Works, absolutely in love with the artwork. The manuals are great though too. The only one I have at the moment is the one for BN2.
This whole series was my childhood. Good memories. Spent too many hours on these games, but I never got to play multiplayer. Battle Network kind of just faded away, so any little Battle Network thing we got after Battle Network 6 was nice. But for reals, that Final Smash for MegaMan was one of the most spectacular things at the time. I like all versions of MegaMan, and I'm just as happy for this collection as much as the others.
I love the Battle network games I have Battle network 1 and 2 GBA on my retro handheld. But when the collection comes out I definitely will be playing it on Switch day one!
I am so excited!!!! I got into these by watching the tv show and loved those games!! Sadly I only played 1, 2 and 4 and both versions of 4 that I have had memory issues right out of the box (brand new, not used, still they stopped saving within days). Also I used to love the gba boxes, but now i hate them. They are so fragile, sadly got damaged during the move. I no longer even have the boxes, and just have a storage case for gba games. I had those pet things as well!!
I love how they accurately predict the future. I remember on optional side quest on MMBN 3, where you have to actually transfer money in digital form through internet. I thought the idea was stupid as people can misuse this on so many ways (back when i was a kid). But look at what we have arrived now, money transfer is everyday life (and cyber thief too)
I know nothing of this series but I remember the commercials and being aware of an anime while in high school. I was more of a Sonic X fan at the time. But I still bought this because I got the other Mega Man collections that released on the Switch thus far.
I remember back when GBA was new, Nintendo Power had an article on MegaMan Battle Network. Having enjoyed the MegaMan X series, the whole idea of Battle Network had me intrigued. I loved the characters, story setting, and artwork, so this game stood out to me above all other GBA games at the time. Battle Network quickly became a big part of my young life. I would play the games to completion, waiting for the next title to be announced, hoping to see some crazy new mechanics. Those games never left me disappointed. I'm VERY excited to see the series coming back with a collection. (Please let Star Force Colleciton be a thing too!) Hopefully, Capcom will draw some inspiration for a sequel or spiritual successor.
Battle network is my jam and my favorite gba series of all time. I'm excited to pick up the collection with my friend and play through all of them again. I kind of wish they were at least including chip challenge but I'll at least take the full 6 games and their versions. I'm lucky to have every battle network game complete in box still for my own nostalgia.
This is by far my most hyped game release coming soon alongside SD Gundam (I'm hyped for both and can't really tell what one I'm more hyped for to be honest) Mega Man Battle Network 3 White and Blue were my games back in High school (never got to play any other ones) So this Legacy Collection will be my way to jump into the ones I missed out on and replay my favorite Mega Man game series

I’m playing through BN2 again right now and my lord I forgot how mad some of the objectives are! Jacking in to Dex’s game boy to find a virus with 0 help except “the virus is somewhere on the net” thanks…. Hahaha I love these games

I've never seen someone obsess about this series as much as me before.
I found this series via the anime when I was a kid, and I loved it like other kids loved Pokemon. It destroyed me when they just dropped the dub after Axess. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because that was how I discovered Japanese dubs for the first time, through watching Rockman EXE Stream with subs. The Cross Fusion theme is actually one of the best themes ever. Nobody can convince me otherwise. I never skip the credits to the EXE Movie, because that theme is such a banger.
Of course, I love the games too. I started with MMBN6 Falzar, and sorta worked my way backwards, playing via emulation. I remember one day finding a seemingly brand new copy of Double Team DS at an anime convention in 2017, and I slapped it on the counter and bought it without even asking the price. It was like, $30 or something, absolute steal. I played the shit out of it on my 3DSXL.
I was never a big fan of the first 3 games, because the artstyle just didn't fit with me. The brighter colour tones and more refined sprite designs for the later games was much more my pace. If I'm revisiting any of these games, it's usually 5 & 6. The formula just felt so good by the end of the series.
I feel like a Pokemon fan, if Pokemon had just stopped happening 17 years ago. Hearing Andrew Francis as MegaMan in the trailer took me back like nothing I've ever known. And he's supposedly been approached for something much bigger than just a commercial cameo too. So man, if they do any sort of dubbing of these games, I'll lose my mind.

Battle Network 3 Blue was my first BN game. It was my first of any kind of Mega Man game, come to think of it. Talk about setting a high bar on the first impression! It hooked me on the rest of the series with its outstanding combat and customization options, excellent story (as card-based RPGs go) and absolutely bangin' music! To this day the N1 Grand Prix battle theme gets me pumped!!!
I would hope that the reason for the long wait for the collection is because they're ironing out some sort of online PVP, chip trading and maybe even a Grand Prix mode for NSO, PSN and Steam?
An arena mode where you can set up custom matches and play as other Navis would be nice as well. There's quite a selection of playable navis from 5 and 6 alone - if they just added Gutsman, Roll, Bass and some of the other recurring bosses we'd have a pretty good set.
Was looking forward to a video by you ever since the collection was announced! I treat my CIB Battle Network games the same way lol finally got the last one I needed the other day. But now with this collection coming out, I won’t have to mess with any of them whenever I want to dive back in.
This game series means a lot to me, I've replayed each game countless times. My favourite is BN 3
I literally just started re-playing Battle Network 3 Blue. Years ago, my mom bought my brother and I the game, with I owning Blue and my brother owning White. I grew such an attachment to that game, but sadly I never acquired a PET, however I did own a Megaman and Protoman figure, and they came with some battlechips. I also watched the anime every Saturday morning until it stopped airing. 3 is the best game, and 5 is great too, specifically Double Team DS version, the one my brother and I played.
I absolutely loved the Battle Network tie-in anime and toys as a kid but never had access to the games. I am beyond hyped to be able to play the collection. Big thanks for the heads up.

Your videos made me go to my buddies game shop yesterday and pick one up since I’ve been diving more into GBA lately. He only had Battle Network 3 and 5, so I scooped up 3.
I've been a casual megaman fan, never played battle network because by the time I got into JRPG's, speculation for a battle network legacy collection had already begun. Seeing the love people like you and Ash Paulsen have for this game is EXACTLY what makes me so hyped to finally get into it.

You know what's the best part? We live in a real life version of the Battle Network Universe, we just don't have P.E.T.s and Net-Navis (Short for "Net Navigators" which is what MegaMan and the rest of the virtual characters are :) ) we just have smartphones that can connect to our cars, our watches, child monitors and even our fridges! What a time to be alive for us Battle Network fans 🌚❤️

I'm glad to see people loving this game. I've been playing battle network games since about '03, and wish the series had gotten more love after BN 6 was released.
Megaman Starforce series needs a remake/remaster HD version or ported to Switch & PC.

My first experience with these games was mega man battle network 5 double team ds. I loved these games growing up and I’ve been wishing for a remake of these games for YEARS, and I’m so excited they’re coming out! I only played the first one on the gba after my ds game and didn’t get to play the rest so I’m very excited

God, I'm so excited that Battle Network is getting a new lease on life, it was dealt dirty by a number of factors back in the day, but now it'll be seen way differently
BN5 was my favorite in the series. I’m incredibly excited to see the community rallying around this game. BN2 and 3 were the only ones I didn’t beat so I look forward to beating them in order. Hopefully we get Star Force next haha.

I used to watch the anime and didn’t even know about the games, I did rent Network Transmission as a kid but had no idea about the actual games. It still really holds a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to finally play them.

I loved all these games so much, including the TV show. Was a huge BN fan to the point where I had to get some merchandise and games imported just to play them as a kid.
I remember playing all of these games. I also remember the reviews for these games too. I personally loved them all. The worst for me was BN 4 which was just tournaments arcs. Yet, the critics loved that game more than BN5 and BN6 which i felt were far superior in story and gameplay.

Game critics certainly did not play through the games completely, and of note your first play through would only have version 1 (and ex) viruses so comparatively it was likely easier for them to complete. I highly doubt any of them did new game + or ++

I never thought this series would see the light of day ever again. So glad Capcom is bringing it back. I can admit the earlier games didn't age the best but everything about this series as a whole is just gold. The Soundtracks, Battle Systems and even how sick the art style is from game to game. I wonder how they'll handle the side quest stuff with Boktai from BN 4 - 6. Either way very excited to play these and hope some younger players pick it up.
I downloaded a PDF of The Complete Works, absolutely in love with the artwork. The manuals are great though too. The only one I have at the moment is the one for BN2.

For me.... I love the BN cybeast gregar. Love the game. It is my childhood playing with the Gameboy Micro.
This whole series was my childhood. Good memories. Spent too many hours on these games, but I never got to play multiplayer.
Battle Network kind of just faded away, so any little Battle Network thing we got after Battle Network 6 was nice. But for reals, that Final Smash for MegaMan was one of the most spectacular things at the time. I like all versions of MegaMan, and I'm just as happy for this collection as much as the others.
3 was my first megaman bn as a kid on the SP (94 kid)...still remember starting in that sci lab part lol nostalgia.
I love the Battle network games I have Battle network 1 and 2 GBA on my retro handheld. But when the collection comes out I definitely will be playing it on Switch day one!
I am so excited!!!! I got into these by watching the tv show and loved those games!! Sadly I only played 1, 2 and 4 and both versions of 4 that I have had memory issues right out of the box (brand new, not used, still they stopped saving within days).
Also I used to love the gba boxes, but now i hate them. They are so fragile, sadly got damaged during the move. I no longer even have the boxes, and just have a storage case for gba games.

I love how they accurately predict the future. I remember on optional side quest on MMBN 3, where you have to actually transfer money in digital form through internet. I thought the idea was stupid as people can misuse this on so many ways (back when i was a kid). But look at what we have arrived now, money transfer is everyday life (and cyber thief too)

I know nothing of this series but I remember the commercials and being aware of an anime while in high school. I was more of a Sonic X fan at the time. But I still bought this because I got the other Mega Man collections that released on the Switch thus far.
I remember back when GBA was new, Nintendo Power had an article on MegaMan Battle Network. Having enjoyed the MegaMan X series, the whole idea of Battle Network had me intrigued. I loved the characters, story setting, and artwork, so this game stood out to me above all other GBA games at the time.
Battle Network quickly became a big part of my young life. I would play the games to completion, waiting for the next title to be announced, hoping to see some crazy new mechanics. Those games never left me disappointed.
I'm VERY excited to see the series coming back with a collection. (Please let Star Force Colleciton be a thing too!) Hopefully, Capcom will draw some inspiration for a sequel or spiritual successor.
Battle network is my jam and my favorite gba series of all time. I'm excited to pick up the collection with my friend and play through all of them again. I kind of wish they were at least including chip challenge but I'll at least take the full 6 games and their versions. I'm lucky to have every battle network game complete in box still for my own nostalgia.
My friends and I cant believe it. Capcom hates Megaman, and yet here we are. The only thing missing is Network Transmission.
They need to do a new MM & MMX. I thought 11 was really good, and sold well

Man.. soo many good memories, I always wanted one of those pet gizmos when I was a kid 😅 my first game on this was battle network 3 white and I loved it, sadly never finished it because I got to a point where I didn’t read where I was supposed to go and couldnt find how to progress the story, this was also before the time I had a computer with internet
If I'm being honest with you I never played the Battle Network games up until recently when I bought it last month off of Amazon but the funny thing about it is that I used to always watch the Megaman NT Warrior anime on Kids WB as a little kid and you want to know what's even weirder as a kid I never saw these games in stores ever but I always would see like action figures and other merchandise for the anime
