i tried to make a dithmarschen WC by stacking admin efficiency modifiers (completing their mission tree, forming sardinia piedmont, then prussia, then germany). damn that run was hard. and i didnt even manage to get to the prussian stage before the coalition recked my ass.

I love "flavor" runs, which is one of the reasons I love Dithmarschen so much. They're mechanically powerful enough that you might want to cheese the game as them, but their mission tree and position in the Peasants' War makes it feel so natural to just play the game "in character".

When Germany abolished the monarchy in 1918, the president more or less replaced the emperor. The chancellor is equivalent to the prime minister in GB.

I have played this nation a lot. Munster is probably the best early game ally. It has a decent army. You are not expanding into them for the first few wars. They also don't have heavy hitters breathing down their necks.

It was one of the most fun campaings. After killing Denmark, getting my foothold in HRE I started to have fun with Scandinavia and Russia and did all mission tree. Then I switch to Hanower, conquered England to do all missions and finally restored Holy Roman Empire ;) The only thing is that I got a bug in which the New World Nations had INSANE amount of discipline and morale. One nation had over 300% discipline and 60 something morale. After that I quit the campaign but still got loads of achievements :)

I believe you could go "no religion" by colonizing an Atlantic island, and then surrendering your capital in a war which then kicks your capital over to the island. As the island has "no-religion" you adopt it as your state religion. Florryworry made an Atheist Pope using this method.

If your are the defender you only get 75% ae so being atacked and taking land is nice, the war score cost of not occupied land is 10% higher, claim reduces ae (10%) and permanent claims reduce ae even more(25%), having claim also reduces autonomy after conquest form standard 50 to 40 .
If you haven't invested in an ergonomic keyboard and/or mouse maybe it's a nice idea to do so, it can get much worse if you let it go on. Maintain your health man.

The now swamped road and treacherously deep freezing water surrounding blunted the Danish assault. After hours of unsuccessfully claiming the Dithmarscher strong point finally exhausted the morale of the Danish vanguard and caused a full route. The retreating danish army left behind their standard and many drowning men, including many nobles in the swamp.
