Fantastic work! I usually braid the wire for fingers/toes, apparently it adds strength to the wire and increases it’s longevity.
Yes, broken wires are annoying, especially when you can poorly replace hands and feet. Thanks for the tip! I have now commissioned a fitting that will have articulated fingers and toes. But getting such small screws for the fingers is a real problem at the moment.

At our Kaiju Con 2022 in Uelzen (Germany) I already told you that this work is absolutely awesome again. I keep saying it my friend, you're the german Ray Harryhausen to me. If he sees your work up there, he'll be dawn thrilled and happy that stop motion cinema is still alive. I'm also happy that you're doing the stop motion effects in the joint short film project EARTH VS THE NIGHTBEAST. And there will definitely be a joint Kaiju Eiga short film project. Thank you, Olli. Harryhausen didn't care much for Monsters out of Japan and suitmation...I wonder if he'd like my stuff? Hm, I don't really know. Well, I'm glad if Toho doesn't care. Yesterday I watched "Nightbeast" for the first time. A reasonably bad movie! For example, during a fight, the two men suddenly have different shirts on! And you could have easily cut the movie by half without missing anything...But the creature looks good! That's the main thing. You just see it so rarely, unfortunately. Today I'll watch the extras to the film.

@@Martianboi7 Difficult to say. I had some kind of problems with all of them. Maybe Titanosaurus with his fan tail. Baragon's glowing horn (made of semi-transparent cast resin with LED inside) was not easy either.

Dear stopmotionkaiju I got a serious question how did you get the materials online for your puppet Kaijū
StopMoTec builds the metal fittings (skeletons) for me. I order silicone, casting resin, etc. from Kaupo Plankenhorn (Smooth On products).
What material did you use to make the Toho King Kong
Kong has a Ball&Socket Skeleton made of steel, covered with foam and (artificial) fur. Very similar to the Kong-figure of 1933.

Thank you very much. Well, the monsters have a ball joint armature inside, foam over that and fur or silicone skin. The smaller figures (Aliens, General) are made of wire and also foam with clothes over it. See my other videos, there is some making of shown.

Hi it’s still me I just want to know if you did the part 4 of your series
Hi. In part 4, a new monster is supposed to appear. I have already commissioned the fitting about a year ago. Now it finally arrived at my place. The problem was some special screws not available! Now I still have to build the new Kaiju, then do the animation, last video editing and dubbing. So it will take a few more months, I think something until June.

Well, I've been thinking about making a Dr. Who-puppet as well. But he won't come, because my movie is set in 1978 and we know that he died in 1967 when Mondo-Kong sank his ship. But: the arctic base and his legacy will still be important! I cannot reveal more here...

How do you make such excellent figures
Well, the figures have steel ball joint fittings on the inside. I have them built individually according to a drawing. Then I cover them with foam and finally fur or a silicone skin. I'm pleased that you like the figures. Thank you very much.
