Oh this was my map! Only just saw this and thought "hey that layout looks really familiar"! So glad you enjoyed the map and had to think with our eggy friends to save the day (that creep limit of 11 was specifically playtested to kick in once you hit the two-valley fork because otherwise I just ended up overrunning quickly over the ridge to the direct east of the base)! I have some demo scripts for some other interesting LPAC mechanics which I will revisit at some point, including a sort of sacrifice/buff gamemode. For now though I should make sure I fix that egg-close-to-emitter bug. Anyway thanks for playing (especially as you're the reason I found this game in the first place) and looking forward to making more maps when I have a minute.
It's essentially a tower defense/RTS mashup. Think of the Creep as corrosive water that'll kill your buildings. Anticreep (the white stuff) is good Creep; when Creep and AC meet, they destroy one another. Cannons and Mortars are your primary weapons. Cannons are rapid-fire and good at dealing with smaller amounts of creep, mortars are slower long-ranged weapons that are good at dealing with large amounts of creep. Sprayers (the white guns) fire AC. Towers serve two purposes. The first is that they're essentially power lines. Your base (the Rift Lab) will send out energy and other resources to build new buildings and rearm old ones using the towers. The second is that they're your primary method of gaining energy. A tower pulls energy from the land it sits on which shows as a green overlay on the map - you'll note that the map turns back to its natural sandy color whenever Tom cuts off a tower network. Mines can also be used to collect energy from certain areas, but they're generally more limited due to there only being a certain amount of those areas on a map. Pylons are long-range towers, but they don't collect energy. As Tom said in this video, there's a bit of drop-off in energy the further it gets from the Rift Lab and it just takes longer to move resources around, so pylons are useful. M-Rifts serve a similar purpose. You can send resources from one M-Rift directly to another one, instantly bypassing the distance between them. Mesh is the vein-like paths you can see in this video. Creep and AC flow better over AC than normal terrain, so it has an easier time making it over high terrain and it can somewhat guide creep/AC into certain areas. Breeder terrain can also be described as vein-like, but it looks a little different. Blue breeder terrain multiples creep that's on it, white breeder terrain multiples AC, and yellow breeder terrain multiples both. I think that's most of the units that would require an explanation. Most of the others (airfields, shields, blobs, spores, etc) are kind of self-explanatory.
@@pegusus12346 correction: towers don't lose energy in transport over distance. Towers GENERATE less energy the further they are from the lab. That generation decay rate can be slowed, but not prevented, with pylons. Micro rifts have their own radius of generation strength. Mesh only transports AC or Creep if its activated. I. E. Turned blue. It only becomes activated by creep being pumped into it by a creep emitter. Units that destroy creep directly (anything except AC generation) also deactivate mesh.
Tom, you should check out the demo for Contraband Police, it's like Papers Please but you get to do a lot more things - manually searching cars for hidden contraband, etc.
Hey tom! :D I just wanted to say that I love these type of play as creep Boosting/Egg/Rock maps. They are interesting and fun to see how you progress and it is a good passtime as well whenever I'm bored, which then lightens up my mood a little ^^ Thank you and please keep em coming when you can ^^
So, you can buff Emitters and the other facilities while their being nullified, so if you want to make a monster of an Emitter before you release it, buff it a few times then kill the Nullifier. You can even see what their starting amount is from the Minimap.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 967 Eyyyy lite creep map, always fun and a fun map :D Ooooo, placing the eggs at any emitter is pretty wacky and fun :D Oh I like using the mesh to get to a stash, a good plan
It only buffs one at a time. There was a previous video where he was too close between a air sac and emitter and ended dumping like 15 upgrades on the air sacs
@@Landmark-tq2qt I play the game myself, and I also love the play as creeper maps, so I played this map as well. Trust me, it works. You just need to click on the ground square the egg is on registered to, not the egg itself.
Tis a sad day for me, my hard drive went to that broken rust pile in the sky and along with it quite literally all my games so I need to watch your videos to get my gaming fix. Don't get me wrong, a new one (ssd this time) is on the way, it's just going to be a few days before I'm up and going.
At this point, I'm pretty sure Tom has done more for the creeper than he's done against it.
.but the play as creeper cool>
A useful tip for Creeperworld players: you can click eggs on (most) LPAC levels to pop them whenever you want
I played one where you could only pop them if they didn't have any creep on top of them. It was funky
Welp I made my first comment before the video started, it was this map lmao.
Thanks for showing off so many great LPAC maps lately, Tom! They're such a nice way to relax and have some fun with.

If you can upgrade a Stash to 16000 it starts to feed off itself and fills up much faster. FYI :)
1:40 engage on a fronts? victory points? He thought we wouldn't notice the 40k reference, but we did
I don't understand the game at all but satisying to watch it
Agreed
In case you have questions about it, feel free to ask.

Evil water units touch, BOOM

Love the fun videos, thank you for your work Tom and Josh.
watching tom struggling with eggs to take out pylons and the like is painful when he has so many rocks he never even touches

I love all the creeper worlds lately
Tom sounds like a Radio Drama Presenter.....and I'm into that.
Tom you probably wont see this but, destroying the factory also turns of the lasers / sweepers, since they run off liftic / greenar
BAM!
eggs pop in anti-creep, you dont need snipers
Is there any greater love story than Tom and eggs?
You can use the eggs to snipe off the rift lab and disable all energy.
What I did with this map was I didn’t even know that there was an emitter there, so I just freed the two bottom-right ones first.

Favorite intro so far!
I mostly use your channel to fall asleep 😅
Come back and play TTT!
good ol creeper world
I'm impressed tom keeps buffing one thing at a time in spite of it's huge radius. Really inspiration to give himself a handicap like that
I believe it only buffs the closest thing to the cursor, but it has been a while since I have played any LPAC maps so it could've changed.
It only buffs one at a time. There was a previous video where he was too close between a air sac and emitter and ended dumping like 15 upgrades on the air sacs
hey Tom did you know that you can buff the stashes most maps have them cap at 16k tho
I think that you can boost two things at a time
suggestion for scenario makers : let the enemy lunch big rockets
lunch big rockects you say? surely you mean...
*LUNCH MISSILES!*
I wonder when Tom will realise he can click the eggs to detonate them. And yes, placing next to nullified things is a bug.
He tried that though and it didn't seem to work?

What was that intro? I feel like I’m watching a “Star Wars: the clone wars animated series” intro!
Never change Tom
