    Thanks! My only gripe with this model is that you can't toggle through different speeds on fly, while driving. Also that useless temp-reading could be replaced with the more useful volt-output instead.

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree about the temperature and the volts would be much more accurate as the battery percentage can drop from say 80 to 70 % on a hill then jump back to 80. I think if u go by 10 miles range maximum on average terrain with not many hills u can’t go wrong. To me this isn’t a long range commuter it’s a last mile or short trip scooter for dry days. For settings on the fly and something that’s better as a commuter u would have to almost double your budget and get the etwow GT SE to get the app connectivity, better speed and range plus drum brake.

      If it's any consolation, it displays the Voltage level upon power up.

    Thank you so much! I still don't understand the graphical battery display. On your scooter there's only 2 bars left (GUI) but 90% (as a number in percentage). Mine is similar as I have 100% (freshly charged) but only 2 bars left too - I can't find any info on what it measn. Possibly battery quality/life but who knows :(

Can’t get in the US and Canada yet but check out a Uk company called pure electric and see what you think of their 3 own brand scooters called air. All ip65 with water ingress in the warranty. Hoping yourself, Jim, ESG can get hold of one to review eventually! Basically a big xiaomi and ninebot rival in the Uk 👍🏻

    The light sensor has been removed from the 2021 modells. Must have been useless. When you turn on ths scooter, what is that "U 38.3" that appeared for a few seconds? Of course this number can be lower or higher...

    Hi, good video. A question: my BoosterV high button (to lower/higher handlebar's height) is broken! Pushing this button, It goes into the handlebar tube: the lock lever doesn't back into lock position (it still inside). So, during the driving, the handlebar goes up and down. So dangerous. Can you help me with tips about adjusting this lock button? Thanks a lot.

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m afraid I haven’t had this happen to me but I know Chuck from electric scooter guide has. He said was easy fix but I have no idea how to do it. I assume the handlebars don’t lift up entirely and the whole rod doesn’t come out? If you search etwow on TH-cam I’ve seen a video of someone taking one completely apart to its bare parts. This could help.

    Just got the gt model, how do I tighten the brakes on this scooter the break button doesn't stop the scooter like it should

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure as only GT model has drum brake the sport just has stomp break and the regen lever. I think on the GT part of the drum casing can be unclipped to reveal drum break inside. Should then just be case of tightening a screw.

    • @robinarden8877
      @robinarden8877 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My GTS did 29mph on a level surface, and that is Very fast for such a small scooter. It feels like 60 mph ! I just turned it down to level 4, (24 mph) which is the same speed as my 2 year old GT2020. I hope to get a bit more mileage. The GT gets me around 18 miles, but my GTS only does 13 miles ! Now I have changed it to level 4, I'm hoping to get closer to the 18 miles my GT does

  • @vaassick8016
    @vaassick8016 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been looking everywhere for a better understanding for that P3 setting..all I got is that it's called "sport mode" never knew what changes with it on or off

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeh that was the one setting I couldn’t figure out. I have an s2 booster plus manual and it says P3 is regenerative break on/off but I tried both and couldn’t tell the difference. It sure doesn’t apply regen brake when you let go of throttle like a lot of scooters do and if it’s just simply stopping the breaking charge the battery why would you want that off! might email etwow on this one.

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Etwow Uk got back to me and it is regen breaking on charging into battery or off and that’s it! Therefore No idea why you would ever have it set to off and lose some energy recovery to charge the battery 🤷‍♀️

    • @vaassick8016
      @vaassick8016 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I made my final decision on getting the booster sport but only because the gt was sold out for 3 weeks n I got impatient but my manual says it's for the boost V..and in it it just says "sport mode" but nothing on what it does..I tried testing to see if the acceleration is quicker but nope, distance speed and battery drain all were the same so I was befuckled

    • @vaassick8016
      @vaassick8016 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ..or I guess IM STILL befuckled cuz honestly I still can't tell the difference after a few days of the same route to work and back p3 on and off

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vaassick8016 congrats hope your enjoying yours! yeh I don’t think you will, the regen break off means it still uses motor to slow down but it doesn’t recover the energy back into the battery but will if it’s set to on. So technically if u did a full charge twice and took it on the same route twice , same weight rider, same temp conditions and the route meant braking a lot you should in theory get better range! won’t be a huge difference though surely.

    I have just got a gt and when I go into the settings it only let's me go up to L4, do you know why that is?

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, L4 limits to 25kph which is 15.5mph which is probably the max speed restriction in the country your in? If your in the Uk they may have set it at this in expectation of that being the max like in most European countries.

    What is the specific nome of this scooter?

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s an Etwow s+ (or sport plus) in the US it’s called a Uscooters booster sport. Be aware etwow have changed their line up so there are now a few new models although generally they are very similar and it’s just battery that’s different or they either do or don’t have a drum break.

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you set it to level 5 that basically means no speed cap I think, however to go over 40km you will need a smooth downhill surface, which will be helped if your not too heavy and have a long run.

    Can ride this in the rain?

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m afraid not it doesn’t have any ip rating at all so avoid rain and puddles. With small solid tyres it can be a bit more dangerous if wet anyway especially over leaves! Short to medium journeys in the dry or a last mile solution are where this scooter excels. I did contact etwow about adding water resistance to their line up in future and they did say the latest GT SE model can withstand going through puddles up to 1cm deep but still no actual official ip rating so be wary on that one. The GT costs more but is bit longer, has 500 watt motor (700 peak) and a rear drum break so that’s a good option in the Black Friday sales if u hurry as I’ve seen that for less than £600! If your in the Uk go to the etwow Uk website or PET (personal electric transport).

      @@e-scooterguy yeah, that's the one I got, GT SE with drum break and kick stand, 700w peak. I'm gonna add silicone to the area around where you take the battery out, but it's a solid scooter, I got up to 35km/hr, only lost 30% battery going to work and home, blasts up hills. I'm still worries about the rain, so I'm gonna buy a waterproof bag and just carry it to nearest shelter if it starts raining.

      @@e-scooterguy yeah, it's not lite, I can carry it around the shops for a short while, looking for a carry bag. The drum brake I don't use often either. I would go lighter if I could have the same power.

    • @e-scooterguy
      @e-scooterguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidagiel8130 At the moment lighter with same or better range and/or power isn’t possible so it’s about use case and getting the balance right. I keep saying on various videos that if the s+ and GT could be ip55, have better lights (maybe indicators) and some sort of puncture less foam tyre to improve grip and ride quality then they would be even more incredible.
