Oh my! Patsy is a sweetie! You will never regret getting her! We just lost our 14 y/o part JRT in November and I still miss her! When we got her, we were NOT looking for a dog, but we couldn’t say no to her. She was a 6 month old rescue which our nephew adopted and we ended up with her 2 weeks later because they were in college full time, working full time and in a tiny apartment without the area a JRT needs to run in. We had 5 AKC Boxers over a 25 year period and she was the last dog we had. We loved all our dogs, but that little dog was the absolutely most loyal, intelligent and sweet dog we ever had and is still missed. Although she knew her place in the hierarchy (2 Boxers we had) when she came to us, in a strange way she became an alpha that all the big dogs relaxed around! Her last 5 years she was the only one, well loved and she knew it! We, too, are taking our time until the right moment to adopt another. They’re family and hard to replace.
Oh my goodness! I once adopted a red and white terrier mix with longer legs and a bit more anxious personality. My sister called her Patsy! May your dear sweet Patsy give you as many years of pure joy as my little girl did. Welcome home wee Patsy ❤☘️

Nothing could make me happier Collette--than to see that you have a new 4-legged friend to share your home with. It takes time to get past the losing of a best friend that we've shared our life with for many years. I'm in that stage now, after losing my last companion in January, of many years--my precious Bella. I am alone now--and still healing. When I'm ready--I will go to the town's animal shelter, or one of the rescue places, and choose another. Or rather---THEY choose ME. That's how it usually goes---it's an instant connection. Oh what a sweet girl! I'm so happy you have a new pup. Life is so much better with a companion in crime. Dogs coming out of shelters are often just exhausted...bone tired. Shelters are chaotic and dogs are raging all day and night, so they never get proper sleep. Don't be surprised if she sleeps an extraordinary amount for the first few days. She's just lovely!
