    Your information is very useful.
    Especially to someone who's been researching this topic on their own. ☮️

    I really appreciate how you explained it in a very simplified way, thank you! I just heard the term and was looking to dwell into it.

    Excellent video Raph. Thank you, I gained some insights. The history of TM was interesting, and it makes sense now, as in the sixties TM seemed readily accessible, unlike today due to the financial barrier.
    In any event your discussion has me reflecting on my own meditation practice and how I might improve upon it.
    Thank you!!

    Do you know of a book Maharishi put out or maybe some Sanskrit mantras he recommended for general goals of the collective such as inner peace and so on?

      glad to have you on board. I do not recommend books by Maharishi as I believe him to be a fraud and a con artist, but I am sure there are a few suggestions online :)

    those mantras are from Saraswati tradition , so it's not so useless cos' of the subtle sound effect ...but one can experience the sound "Om" as well , ..is the universal sound creating the world ...one thing major is the intention when closing eyes , sitting straight to keep the mind aware , and revering someone with faith for his shakti and love ...!!!

    do you really think its like that with celebs and consumer products? someone please correct me if im wrong but in my 45 years of life as an american ive never known anyone to say "im gonna get a pepsi because my favorite singer drinks it". i think its more like a subliminal thing. like someone sees mike jackson on tv, they look and get excited because they like him, feel good a little bit, then "drink pepsi" just gets ingrained into their subconscious so when they see a pepsi in the store they get excited and cant remember why so they just buy it. what do you think??? i been kind of pondering on this and would appreciate a comment thanks.

    • @raphaelreiter
      @raphaelreiter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok forget Pepsi. Think Kardashian and fake lips. People want to do what famous people do. No matter how stupid it is

      @@raphaelreiter oh yea ur right. i was just thinking food products i guess, but yea style and clothes they want to copy, also you got ppl that say, well if so and so uses it must be pretty good.......guess i was just narrowminded and bugging out on food product ads and thought i had a theory on why they worked.

  • @RealeaD

    Is there a magic in the mantra? Can we use a made-up random no-meaning mantra such as "Nuaaariiii pajooh dada" (haha) and try if it works? If not, it seems there must be really a magic in the matra.

    • @raphaelreiter
      @raphaelreiter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      RealeaD there is no magic in the mantra. Yours is awesome haha. Although I would make one slightly shorter, like 2 syllables or 3 max. The practice has great effect. Sitting down twice a day 20 minutes. The mantras actual word is irrelevant. Have fun and let me know how it goes !

    Helpful but could be updated. Some chapters of TM offer income-based participation, tiered so that lower incomes pay less mKong it affordable. Research on the mantra reveals more info than shared here. There could be more going on than you suspect. Fo yoir own research h be informed.

    Sounds like apple products and people who are like so loyal to it, making it more of a special ingroup marketing thing to participate. I have a mac, but i also have been meditating for years. Imagine putting a price and limits on who can learn on types of meditation. Unless its some sort of age old yogic meditation to activate kundalini or other type of abilities that is advised to have a master overseeing you. Any legit spiritual practice will always be available to pass on to others, thats the whole point.
