I think one key thing that made Buu's Fury a lot easier was also reducing the knockback the enemies take from your attacks. In LOG2, landing a combo on an enemy took some rhythm and reaction to how they bounced around the map, whereas in Buu's Fury they don't move nearly as far so you can just mash A to take them down.

Ironically Legacy of Goku 1 has slowly become my favorite in the series. 2 and 3 are not big enough games to compete with other DBZ action RPGs so LoG 1 becomes that fun little bite sized romp you can beat in a few hours if you want to play a classic DBZ game. The grinding in LoG 1 was painful as a kid but if you kill the crabs instead of the wolfs right away and grab sensu beans and get all of the speed boosts(I missed the one from the rocks side quest as a kid so my Goku was quite a bit slower than he should have been for the big fights), the game progresses rather nicely until you get to Namek where there is a bit of long grinding if you want max level to make the Frieza fight a little shorter.
Leveling up in Legacy of Goku 2 isn't toooo bad once you figure out that you can go to a flight point to reset your ki if you leave before your power up ends.

All three are amazing games for me, especially for a gameboy game. Would rank them Buu, 2 and then 1. I had all the same issues with the first game, but once I bet it a couple of times it was fun to come back and play once a year or so.
You had TH-cam to get through Legacy of Goku. You’re lucky. I had to get through that through trial and error. I even realized that some enemies have attack patterns that I can exploit. Do you know that if the dinosaur notices you and you do not move, it will not attack and you can just beat it up until it’s dead. It usually works when you’re to the left and right of it though. There is also a spot on the top right of the Ginyu Force map that lets you skip them and go straight to Frieza. Also you can trap enemies using the orbs and herbs. I played that game so much that I can go through it without getting hit once.
@@SilenceAC There are speedruns of the game. Especially since you can pretty much one-shot everyone once you reach level 18-20 (18 I believe for the dinosaur and 20 for basically everything else.) Heck, some of the Frieza soldiers have attack patterns based on their color. The blue one runs away from you when you attack him I know a lot about this because this was the first game I got on my GBA so I played the hell out of this game to the point that I remembered the levels I needed to beat certain enemies in one hit and even get the actual big ki blast without charging(although solar flare is my best friend). There are other glitches but since it has been so long, I don't remember all of them.

I didn’t even know any of those facts at all! It’d be interesting to see a speed run of LOG1 just to witness a bunch of these exploits
@@SilenceAC There are speedruns of the game. Especially since you can pretty much one-shot everyone once you reach level 18-20
(18 I believe for the dinosaur and 20 for basically everything else.)
Heck, some of the Frieza soldiers have attack patterns based on their color. The blue one runs away from you when you attack him
I know a lot about this because this was the first game I got on my GBA so I played the hell out of this game to the point that I remembered the levels I needed to beat certain enemies in one hit and even get the actual big ki blast without charging(although solar flare is my best friend). There are other glitches but since it has been so long, I don't remember all of them.
I really enjoyed this video. Lol Taiketsu shade.
Had to sneak that in for the viewers haha glad you caught it
