The drummer wrote the lyrics , this song means so much to the whole band , the Garden referring to family and close ones , The drummer lost a daughter to a car accident then shortly after his wife passed from Cancer , the singer Bass player parents were survivors of the Holocaust, the guitar players dad was a Siberian political prisoner,
If you'd like to see another emotional performance, I'd like to recommend Ghost Rider from their show in Rio; Neil's lyrics were based on what happened when his wife and daughter died tragically just over 10 months apart and he took a break from the band and rode his motorcycle all across North America as he worked to process his grief.
