The item you found at 5:27 is called a Fidget Cube people play with them in their hand called Fidget Toys. Mostly used for stress and anxiety sensory toys like, pop ones, infinity cubes, whacky tracks so on.
Awesome hunt, Bill! Lots of great finds. So many chains there! Rings galore. Cool gopher snake! I hope you bring Christine and Buddy a souvenir. 🐾 Buddy's could be the bless my pet pendent, but you know Christine is going to want a cupcake or 8. 😊 See ya next time. Safe travels home.
Thanks... yeah, I will turn over the change to C and buddy just gets annoying squeezes... I am smart though... I stopped and picked up two (so far) of Christine's favorite CC's
The parks in California are awesome! It looks so lovely and peaceful on sunny mornings with the birds singing. Loved that snake 🐍 but I’m glad that in the 40 years I’ve been in my home, I have never come across one. Last week in Illinois, my son accidentally drove over one while driving his sit-down mower. 😩
He scared me at first... checked the tail... no rattle so I was good... took a pic and google lens searched and saw it was a gopher snake... he is welcome to hang around and eat rodents... good neighbor...lol
So many knick knacks at all those parks you hit Bill. We used to catch gopher snakes and king snakes in the hills of Yorba Linda back in the good ole days. Anyways, thanks for sharing your finds with us.
Cool finds what fun to hunt somewhere else. Ooh Bill you're in trouble when Christine hears that comment 😂. My new granddaughter arrives last weekend her name is Maggie Christine ❤
Hey Bill, just had my best day metal detecting in the 4 yrs I've been doing it. I just watched one of your tot lot videos and decided to concentrate on tot lots. Not 3' feet into the lot and my first target was a large .925 silver earing with crystal settings. A few minutes later, I dug a .925 silver ring but it was missing it's stone, no biggie though, the ring is really nice. After working my way to the other side of the lot I found the other .925 large silver earing. Trifecta, kind of. I followed this up with a 1982 Los Angeles brass train or bus token and a $2 Euro. My best day for jewelry ever! Oh, speaking of finding old coins on the surface, the 1st year I started detecting I did some research on local areas and found that San Dimas had been settled in the 1800's and most houses were built before the 1950's, so I drove there and I found an empty lot between two old houses and the moment I put my detector to the dirt at the edge of the sidewalk, my detector started screaming. I knew from the high pitch it was possibly something good, it turned out to be right on the surface minus a thin layer of sand/dirt, a 1920 dime, beautiful. I too was perplexed at how it found it's way on the surface.
That is so awesome... I get told once in a while not to waste my time in the tot lots because you only find kid rings... ha, I have found a bunch of cool stuff in the tot lots.... sounds like a great hunt... you are welcome....lol
That round type of nail is what I use to post barbed wire fencing for my horse🐎 . I would go by the open grass where people play soccer or baseball fields.
Hey nice finds to bad the little toy dose not work that has the buttons and swiches look like it would be neat to mess with a wheatie for your sweetie is a good one and the zipper pull looking thing might be the part that holds a pendant to a chain may be called a yolk. Any how keep it up, make it fun, and Happy Hunting😊👍..
Sounds good... I have used the 6 in parks a lot and it is much easier to use around the toy poles... down side is the longer time it takes to clear a park. Another thing, I even like hunting grass with it. When I am on a target, it is a much smaller area to check. But yes, I will pull it out again soon.
Good morning Bill. Found an Audi R-5 Thursday, which is the first for me since moving to Alabama. Hot wheels brand. Enjoying your trip with you. OK Tarzan, no Jane around.
Very nice hunt Bill ! Big variety of cool finds that definatly makes it fun ! You most definatly bolstered your ring count for the year on this trip ! Awesome job my friend ! Good luck on all your future hunt ! Keep em coming love your videos !👍🙂
Hope you had a good little trip Bill, Let me know if you coming to Vegas or Henderson, and I'll do the same when I come back to South Bay and maybe we can link up and hit a park or beach together....
Nice finds Bill on all the rings and other fun things you found! My goal was to find at least 40 rings before April is over and I hit it this morning with a cheap kids ring at a school playground. My addiction is finding rings and I bet it is yours too.😂
Good for you.. yeah, I don't know why but rings are the highlight of hunting.... would be very happy to find anything gold soon.... going thru withdraws...lol
@@DigginSoCal hate to tell you bill but I found a gold earring last weekend and another this morning along with a silver earring to boot. And ring 41 this morning too!
Around the 8:15 mark that steel tongue drum you were playing with I actually found one about of them about 3 years ago, just the drum part, buried about 8-10 inches in sand at a tot lot. Still have it. That’s when I first started this hobby. A small one 12” in diameter
@@DigginSoCal yeah fairly jazzed adopt it. Found it with my first metal detector- the budget bounty hunter. Kids bought for me on b-day thinking I might like detecting
Hey bill nice hunts, but if you hang out in the tots lots you get blings a lots but again you are cursed just like the rest of us it’s hard not to go that way it some how pulls you in 🤷🏼♂️nice snake I turned around in a Arcadia school yard a about a four to six feet was behind me 😱keep up the hunt brother
I agree... I did hit some grass but in this area the grass was so nice and I did not want to do a bunch of digging in these small neighborhood parks... I had a lot of dog walkers and I was a visitor...lol
Hey Bill tanks for the advice about the different tones when near a pole at at playground I get frustrated. But I am using the AT Pro----not this machine you have. I will play around with my settings to try and get a similar response. Happy hunting.
You are welcome... When I was hunting with Robert who uses a Garrett, he missed a couple targets close to the poles... His detector is much noisier... I suggest to take a find and set it at different distances from a pole at a tot lot and test the tones.... I do that as well when working along the curb around the tot lot... especially when the curb has rebar...
You might already know this but I just learned a cool trick from DirtFishMish. When you get a coin sound, raise your detector 4-5" above it and if you can still hear it, it's not a coin. Can slaw gives better signals. I tried it this morning and it worked. Wow. They really have some cool playgrounds up there in Sacramento. Good for you, playing. All grown-ups should play every chance they get. Nice hunt. It looks like you had lots of fun.
Wow, really??? I think this zip line was big enough for me but I would be sitting in the courtroom... your honor, I was only zipping, please don't remand me into custody...yikes
Great hunt Bill, you did well, you did great with finding rings and chains. Take care, see you when you get back.
Great video...can't wait to see Christine back with you!!!
Thanks... yeah, she is working two 16 hour shifts then will have a little free time and I am ready to go

Congrats! Our first gold ring was next to a tot-lot thanks to Bill's inspiration as well! 🎉

Oh wow big snake. I find small garden snakes slithered on top of fences they love to sun bathe and shed their skin.
Ha... yes, We use to catch them as kids...
Quite a few rings this trip, Bill. Very nice, hope you enjoyed the trip. Safe travels. - D

Good hunt Bill that big iron piece is a railroad spike.keep videos coming good job
Thanks George... I am not sure how or why a railroad spike would be in a park... no tracks anywhere close by?
Bill for consideration, maybe so a hunt with a 6 inch coil discussing pros & Cons. Just got one.

Hello Bill and Christine
Hi Gregory
I saw a metal detectorist find one of those $100 bill on a hunt in Ft Myers Fl after the hurricane. Must be from a game or something.
Yeah, I am not sure... so detailed for it's size...crazy
Bill that square thing you thought had a lens on it looks like a Bluetooth speaker
Turns out it is a fidget device...
That tiny black box is a fidget box LOl for people who like to fidget while they work etc
I see that...pretty cool... maybe I can get the sand out of it and get it working???
You might already know this but I just learned a cool trick from DirtFishMish. When you get a coin sound, raise your detector 4-5" above it and if you can still hear it, it's not a coin. Interesting... will have to give that a try... Yes, play time... I would have kept going but some darn kids showed up and ruined my fun...lol
Bill, good morning, hom much did you pay for this newer machine you are using?
I was using my Nox on this trip... I think it was around $900 give or take. It is my favorite detector
At least Christine has had nice long vacation of catching up with her sleep resting. Doesn't she go by herself to hunt?
She does hunt solo now and then but she was actually working while I was gone....
I hope you’re bringing some cupcakes for you know who when you get back just saying 😂😂😂
I think it is a requirement...lol.

Be wewwy weyy quiet hunting bling wabbits. Nice hunt
LOL... thanks
@@DigginSoCal You are welcome Elmer ;)
Nice hunt! YOU FOUND A FIDGET CUBE! Built for neurodivergent peeps like me! LOL
Yes... gonna clean it up and see if I can get it working... may be stuck from sand
You found a Figit cube. 1952 D Penny is worth $.06. Don't spend it all in one place.
Thanks Dan... I was trying to figure out why the penny face was all scratched up. Made me think another detectorist dug it up and then dropped it?
I'm awake early 😂
Why....lol
Yikes...🐍
That black thing is a fidget toy
Hate snakes!
I get that... snakes and spiders...yuk
its a figit cube, its a toy for children who figit is ADHD, Autism. A dirrivitive of the figit spinners
Hey don't you think you should where your hat.😊👍..
I was wearing it most of the time but yes thank you for filling in for Christine....lol. I usually started around 6am and had it on by about 8am...
I almost got arrested in Mexico for using the kids' toys. They told me that I was too heavy.
Wow, really??? I think this zip line was big enough for me but I would be sitting in the courtroom... your honor, I was only zipping, please don't remand me into custody...yikes
It was just a load test, . . . You know. . . For safety, think of the children!
Maybe first?
Looks like it...lol
Fidget toy
Yes.... figured that out after a little google search...
The snake is a common non venomous reptile...
Leave it alone... Helps control the rodents....
Yup.... I don't think he had a big issue with me filming him... He is a regular around the house that backs up to a green belt...
i am afraid of snakes
Nice finds. With those dollar coins the cupcake money adds up fast. 🧁 💰 😂
Thanks... I agree. I need to total my coins and clean them... Christine won't want dirty money...lol
