A lot of skin types can take time adjusting to high percentages of niacinamide or vitamin B3 which is why I absolutely love and recommend the @plumgoodness 5% Niacinamide serum which is enriched with rice water and amino acids has the #PowerOf5. It’s perfect if you’re a beginner or have sensitive skin. It is also free of any fragrance, alcohol and essential oils.
Little known fact, most studies on niacinamide are done at 2-5% which is why this is a great formulation to begin your niacinamide journey with.
Once your skin can tolerate this you might want to try out a 10% formulation if you please.
This video is in collaboration with @plumgoodness. I’d never recommend a product that I wouldn’t use on me irrespective of it being sponsored or not. You can use code TARINI for 10% off.

Hiya! Hope you're well! I had a question, I've been using Re'equil ceramide and hyaluronic acid moisturizer and Minimalist hyaluronic acid + PGA face serum which I bought mainly for winters because my skin turns really dry. My question is that should I use both of these since you mentioned not to use diff products with the same active ingredients? Also, apart from hydration, I have uneven skin tone around the mouth and under eye dark circles and in general, my face and neck are duller/darker compared to the rest of my body (probably a result of years of sun exposure without any suncreens etc.), I've been thinking about trying products containing retinol or niacinamide as active ingredients, which should I go for (face serum)? My skin type is normal to dry. Thank you!

    (Coming from a Doctor)
What she's doing is a nice thing, to spread information about skincare to help people, not saying she's wrong or smtg however I'd advise people to first consult a dermatologist before using any products seen online or starting any skincare regimes as everybody's skin is different, you never know how your skin is going to react when treated with a particular ingredient, and A LOT of the information we get from the influencers are sourced from the web, rather than any medical professional who's studied years and years about this particular subject, and not everything on the web is credible. Everyday at our clinic i see patients, mostly teenagers or young girls coming to us for a second opinion(which ideally should be the 1st opinion) when their skin reacts a certain way to certain product and when we ask them what did you use, what'd you refer to, they say we saw it online.
A side note: a majority of all of the videos from these skinfluencers are sponsored and contains Ad; personally I'd never trust paid promotions. And on the top of it, I bet there's ever a video from her without filters; reality is far apart from what she shows. Just imagine how would someone's skin be flawless when they literally use a new product every other day? 😊

Yesss it does help I've quite dark pigmented acne spots since years which gradually lightened use it directly on your face after you face wash followed with any moisturizer and then spf. Am pm both times. It took me 2 weeks to lighten my dark spots. I'm using the urban botanics serum. It's great you can also add the vitamin c serum of the same brand it's great. Also acne pit spots large pores have become smaller. Go for it. !!

Hi I’ve introduced niacinamide into my skin care routine about 2 years ago and my skin has never been better. I have a combination skin that is ver oily in t zone with dry patches here n there. I live in Texas and went in india in spring 2021 and had such a hard time keeping up with skin care (not that I’ve never been there before but somehow this time it was crazy. Maybe it’s the time of the year that I’ve always avoided traveling) All my products suddenly seemed like trash. I was trying so hard to just keep my skin tolerable from excessively sweating. At one point it’s feel like a burning sensation when I had to wipe the sweat. So instead of switching to products I adopted natural remedies like aloe and multani in combination to control oil yet not let it get dry. Although it work for short term it was a lot of work. I have two young kids and it’s hard to have such elaborate routine.
After I returned to USA this idea struck with me and by then it t was summer here. It was the summer when people started going out after Covid. That meant more time outside of AC. That’s when I came across the original’s niacinamide +zinc serum. I started using it without second guessing even though there are so many products out there. But ever since then I’ve ditched the black head remover from my kit. I rarely get any pimples n even when I do they’re gone in few days without any blemishes

My friend had the same experience with Derma Co's niacinamide. Honestly I can't trust these brands. Recently someone found a dead bug in their moisturizer. These brands don't take any responsibility and follow no regulations as cosmetics aren't much regulated. Leaving Minimalist, I wouldn't trust any brand. For niacinamide, I would use a pharmacy product like Niamax D gel. Inexpensive and actually good.
