    hi! i started using the good molecules brighting serum with hyaluronic acid and the good molecules 10% niacinamide serum along with the neutrogena hydro boost gel cream for extra dry w hyaluronic acid. the first day of use, it worked very well but now i’m at day 4 and my face is getting irritated. once i put on the serums and cream my face burns and i get spots that are red and inflamed and they itch. my chin and around my nose get very dry. i’m not sure what it could be that’s causing this? i’m assuming it’s the niacinamide because it’s at 10% and it could be too much for my skin? do you think i should just use the niacinamide every 2 days? when should i stop continuing use? i really want to be able to use them. also my skin is combination skin.

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey what cleanser are you using? is it foam or gel? for now discontinue the serums and go back to basics, it sounds like you have an impaired barrier to begin with and applying these actives are causing burning on the skin.
      Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid shouldn't cause burning unless you are having an allergic reaction.
      I've had hundreds of clients including myself use niacinamide at a 13% strength daily with no problems so it sounds like your skin's barrier is possibly damaged prior.
      We have a video here explaining the skin barrier you would benefit and you can comment your questions there :) or here up to you! th-cam.com/video/7yMpwuPbmFc/w-d-xo.html

      hi, I’m aware you commented this 5 months ago but if it still helps, I recommend just using 3 drops of the niacinamide serum and use it every two or three days, also how are you doing with the Neutrogena gel? in my personal experience that specific moisturizer burned my skin so bad and made it break out, every time I applied it, it burned, so ofc I stopped using it and instead changed it for the Bioderma Sebium Hydra (for mixture to oily skin) they also have Sensibio and Hydrabio which are better for sensitive and dry skin. That saved my face tbh + using the niacinamide correctly. Hope it still helps ❤

Would you recommend I continue using this moisturiser or a different one? Is there any other products you would suggest to combine with itv to make my face feel less tight? I’m an acne sufferer. toner (dear klairs)
    niacinamide (the ordinary)
    then I watched or read somewhere and done some search in google that aha(glycolic) and bha(salicylic) should not be mixed with vit c and niacinamide. i had tiny bumps in my forehead and im thinking it might be purging? just want to know if im doing my routine wrong or if it's okay. im only 2 weeks in in that routine.

    • @MadisonMint-qc5nq
      @MadisonMint-qc5nq 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Salicylic acid is a BHA, it deeply exfoliates and is good for blackheads. I use it only in cleanser form, to remove oils and reduce acne breakouts. Niacinamide (B3) is an anti-inflammatory that boosts ceramide synthesis, restores skin barrier, hydrates and brightens the skin. I use it in serum form, combine with hyaluronic acid. Combining both SA and B3 is great, never at the same time tough, rinse the salicylic acid first ofc.
      You dermatologist should be able to evaluate your skin and advise you on the best products to use, niacinamide (B3) is usually gentle and safe for most skin types, but remember that 10% is twice the recommended concentration. I mix mine with a HA serum and use the cocktail at night. So far so good, but my skin has been used to niacinamide for years now. Start with a patch test on the arm and then apply a drop once a week at night.
