Thank you for saving the lives of these beautiful bunnies. It took a lot of patience, hard work, and deep knowledge of bunny psychology, letting them scrounge around to find the nipple. I loved watching the little black bunny gurgle down the milk. The first bunny resisted, but the second one was in bunny heaven. Already they display different personalities. I'm just learning about rabbits. What amazing creatures. This video was made four years ago. I hope they all survived and are still living happily ever after. It's so sad to look at videos and then find out the bunnies have died.

In the UK, we often use a thick blend of kitten replacement milk powder with water and rabbit probiotic to hand feed rabbit kits. It's interesting to see you let them get a bit of their sass out before feeding them. It takes me 2 hours sometimes to feed 5 of them! I struggle to get the amount in them that they should have before they fall asleep.

What a great video! I am just getting back into raising rabbits and you have information that is unique to others. Back when I was young I did lose a rabbit to heat stroke, never thought about a ice bottle, but back then all the bottles were glass and would break. That tip and this one on bottle feeding is great! Keep them coming.

Thank you very much for this video, my Neighbor found a baby rabbit in our street gutter in broad daylight and no one wanted to try to take care of it so I’m trying to do my best to have this little one make it. I know nothing about taking care of 2 day old rabbits so this has given me at least something to go on. Wish my little guy luck, I’m going to do my very best to help it make it.

Great information. Found a baby wild rabbit on our driveway this morning. No telling how long he had been out there, he was ice cold. We're off grid with no electricity and no water bottles. The only way I could get him warm fast is to wrap his body only in plastic and hold him in warm water. Saw a sheep breeder do this with a lamb, however she used a plastic glove which goes to her shoulder. Heared water and placed a few small rocks in the bottom of a small wippy container added toilet paper and placed the bunny inside. The water is reheated every half hour to an hour. Will be putting the kit is hay. We have no I door heat, will the hay and a towel be enough to keep him warm. We are in south Texas currently the temps are sometimes getting into the 30's - 60's.

Hello, Thankyou for your video and advice given in it. I am in the same position currently, hand raising a litter of 6. Sorry if this sounds silly but with the goats milk does it need to be heated up at all or can they drink it cold? First time hand raising and I’m trying to do as much research as possible to help my little ones survive. Thankyou!

My son had me go and look for any more kit's. 2 more were found on the driveway where they were not before. 1 was already dead, the other I warmed like the first, so far it is doing OK. Something has been digging this morning looking for these kit's. The first was found just before 8:30am the other 2 were found after 1pm. On the way down our long dirt driveway to open our gate this morning there was noticeable digging, this afternoon the digging has expanded. What ever it was may have been scared off when I let the dogs out this morning. None of the dogs barked or even ran in the direction of where the digging and kit's were found.
Hopefully it's not hogs. (No food prints are visible and weeds and chickens undisturbed.)

Thank you! I have 2 pet bunnies and I didn't think my doe was sexually mature, but I woke up today to her giving birth, one week before the male's snip snip appointment. She lays with them and licks them but so far didn't feed them. Their bellies aren't full and she only has 2 babies. I got kitten formula for just in case if she ends up not feeding them and I really needed a tutorial

So cute!! That nipple seems a little large though...
    Q. We found five baby bunnies 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇 2 weeks ago, three have unexplainably expired over the course of 2 weeks 😭 I've been feeding them goats milk, whipping cream, 1 egg yolk, using a dropper.
When should we release them? I put fresh grass in their cardboard box and they nibble it away. ♡

My bottle, exactly like yours- even after using a safety pin ad nauseam, won’t express the kitty replacement milk I got. Of all the issues.....
I have a syringe and I’m trying that but the 8-10 day old bunny I found just won’t eat. Ive warmed her up and I’m trying the side of her mouth but no dice. I guess she goes to wildlife rehab in the morning...

Would it be good to hold them so they are on their back with tummy facing up? I've seen that momma bunnies usually just stand over the babies, and babies must flip over on to their backs so they can nurse. Help to teach them how to nurse, so hopefully mama can take over. I think it is such a good idea to know how to do this in case it's needed, but if mamma takes over that is best. So adorable! It's clear you adore them.💞

no that is not all these people need to know. Address the fact that in certain age point, these kits have to eat cecotrophes so they can transition from milk to solid foods and they get prepared with their gut to accept solid food. You have to address this , because it is important .And maybe redo the video to include the whole care for babies. Is not as easy as you make it seem!
