When Matt Damon's character gets it in the end has got to be one of the best scenes in the movie. He got his comeuppance just like Tommy in Goodfellas.
Love this movie, but being a guy who grew up near Boston, I have to say, some of these accents are HORRIBLE. Martin Sheen, especially. Love him, but damn.
Costigan crosses out "CITTIZINS" on the envelope when Fitz spells it wrong. Fitz is later killed in the shootout. Okay, Fitz may not be a major character but I thought he was great.

Ok so I was just going to watch this movie because of Matt Damon and this short appeared. Excellent work, atleast do not ever start your video like this 😭
Yes. Scorsese said he did that to pay homage to the original Scarface (1932) just like the last scene in Goodfellas with Tommy shooting the gun at the camera is a nod to the 1903 film The Great Train Robbery.
A nod to the original 1931 Scarface. Somehow I missed it here…well, I guess because it’s subtle until it’s pointed out, just like the white arrow between the E and the x in FedEx. Now you can’t unsee it.
